Emergency room experience on 9/26 9 am was frustrating and cumbersome. ER Doctor misdiagnosed as a wrist sprain which turned out to be an abscess with infection. This led to 3 more trips to Lake West to see 3 different hand specialists- I was finally admitted 9/30 after an MRI confirmed the infection. By this time, in severe pain with swelling which extended into hands and fingers. Now under co care of doctor specializing in infectious disease and head of Orthopedic Dept. Very disappointed in the patient processing - mis diagnosis and poor communication between everyone involved.

Called to speak with their billing department who told me they were unable to help me and that I needed to speak with "Patient Financial Services". Online the phone number is the same for the billing department and patient financial services. The representative I spoke to was less than helpful. Can you people get it together? Or should I just start going to a different provider? I have issues with this every year and this time at I am about sick of it.

Now primarily a nursing home rehab this hospitals greatest error is the employees it hires. Local residents who are treated at Points East are subject to having their privacy and medical records breached by other local residents who are employed by the hospital system. You never know who is treating you could be your girlfriends niece who hates your guts because you cheated on her aunt.

No one here should have medical license, very poor patient treatment and would rather keep you here in pain then give proper treatment that seems like common sense. Even if you ask for it.

Most uncomfortable bed in the world Room was set at like 60 degrees Its been a month and still no report to my doctor My advice: go somewhere else!!
