Terrible. I came in the middle of the night about 2am with appendicitis. I was transferred from the emergency room in Twinsburg to Ahuja--so when I say 2 AM that is when I arrived at a Ahuja. Surgeon arrives for the day and sees me at 9 AM (John jasper is his name). After we have a brief conversation in the morning he goes into surgery and comes back to see me around 4 PM. He comes in with the nurse and the nurse practitioner guns blazing screaming at me. And I am not being dramatic--he was yelling at me asking "why I felt that it was OK to make all these demands of his staff". The "demands" of his staff that I made were I had asked for an enema, my medical records, and when we were going to be starting antibiotic treatment. Huge demands, when someone comes in with a life-threatening condition huh? He disgusted me. I am a business owner and business professional and I explained to him that I would never speak to one of my clients this way and that he should feel ashamed of himself for speaking to a patient this way. After his ego and his temper calmed down he conceded and did apologize but still--an absolutely disgusting way to speak to someone-let alone someone who is sick scared and admitted to the hospital. Newsflash youre there to help me not to stress me out more. Newsflash you are highly paid, act accordingly. Newsflash being admitted to the hospital is not inexpensive. His partner Dr Parker came in the following morning and was equally as rude and disinterested and arrogant. Two absolutely disgusting surgeons. If I couldve recorded them on audio I would have so that I could of had their voices on tape, but they come in the room so quickly and are out so quickly I didnt have time to grab my phone to record them. I will be filing a formal complaint.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I specifically asked for rainbow bc we had such a wonderful experience at main campus when my son was ill a few years ago. We have always used UH. We were sent there today b/c my 3 year old son broke his arm and requires surgery. They could not care less. They set my appt for 4:45 then changed it to 4:30. I left work early and traveled the 45 min to their office. They called me 10 minutes before my appointment and said they were running 2 hours behind but I still needed to be there on time to check in and needed to wait in the waiting room. I asked how that was acceptable and the receptionist replied with, "well you wanted him to be seen right away." Yes, I did. My son has had a broken arm for two days and still hasnt even had a a cast put on because they said it needs surgery. So I go check in and she comes up to the other receptionist that Im checking in with and says, "make sure theyre last, theyre JUST an add in." I said, "Can you even pretend to care that my child is hurt?" And they all start laughing. I obviously walked out. At what point did it become appropriate for heartless individuals to work in pediatrics? And is it necessary to be nasty to a parent with an broken child? I am absolutely appalled by the behavior displayed at this establishment. I called another orthopedic doctor and had the information sent over and was greeted with kindness and offered an immediate appointment for my child bc of the severity of his injury. I will never return to UH.

Took my 77 year old father there with pneumonia. The nursing staff on the second floor made him feel like a nuisance when he had to pull them away from sitting and talking loudly at the nurses station. We actually had to keep his door shut so he could rest, because they were having such a good ole time, even in the wee hours of the morning. When he developed hospital-onset delirium they were super-annoyed with his confusion and need for extra attention, and a nurse named Angela even yelled at him when he sat up on the side of his bed. You could tell as soon as you met her she was going to be a pill. A male nurse sat nursing a toothache or some mouth issue with an icepack. He was in no condition to be dealing with patients and had no compassion whatsoever. Lord, dont make them get out of their chairs. They were dismissive to my father, writing him off as a crazy, bothersome old man, when in fact, he is a very alert, intelligent, and wonderful person regularly. He was just very ill. Wheres the compassion?? There just wasnt any. I ended having to stay with him all night to make sure his needs were properly met. I believe they released him too early to get him out of their hair. They never got rid of his pneumonia, and two weeks later he was back in the hospital. I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. Well....yeah...maybe I would...

My husband was admitted on a Monday afternoon with a diagnosis of diverticulitis and a tear in his colon. He had a very high fever, sweating so I applied cool compresses to his forehead. I placed dirty towels on counter; not removed for 2 days. He rang the nurses, from the bathroom, as he was unable to stand, very dizzy. Jeannette came in and told him she would be right back with help. NO ONE ever returned. He got back to his bed on his own. His bedding was not changed until Thursday morning. I came in, after work, and his trays from breakfast and lunch were still in the room, day after day....I took them out myself. His IV bandage (bloody gauze and needle) were hanging from the bed! Blood borne pathogens???? No one ever came in to clean his room, not even wipe down the tables. Absolutely disgusting place. He was discharged with no follow-up appointment. Really??? They really need to re-evaluate the care that is given and take a look at the nurses aides. Very lax. I was so happy when he was able to come home as I felt the care I would give him would be far superior and competent. Very unhappy with Ahuja as part of the UH system.

Aweful hospital with very rude employees. After waiting for over 3 hours in waiting room and a hour in room, doctor finally came in, in a VERY bad mood! After he couldnt get a clear understanding from my sister with SPECIAL NEEDS, he started YELLING at her. After they finished arguing (with me trying to ask them to calm down, there is a misunderstanding) he refused to see her. She asked for meds for 45 minutes IN TEARS and i asked for management numbers. They told me they dont have to give me anything and said since the doctor doesnt feel safe around my sister, we have to leave. As they where walking her out (she was there for PE) she fainted and hit her head. Had to rush her to another facility and she fractured her neck from fall! I am so disappointed in this UH and I will NEVER return and beg people I know, not to. They just kept explaining how the doctor was tired and it was such a busy day..... Its to late now! The damage is done
