I broke a tooth in early 2012 but refused to go to any dentist because of fear. I had horrible experiences when I was little and when I was old enough to be on my own I simply didnt go to the dentist, ever. At the time my tooth broke it had been about 14 years since I was at a dentist, oral surgeon to be exact, and that was only to get my wisdoms cut out. In October 2012 my tooth broke more and exposed the nerve. By January I couldnt take it anymore and made an reluctantly made an appointment at Aspen in Steubenville. Once I was in the office and the ladies started talking to me I started feeling comfortable but still very scared. They listened to my dental horror stories and assured me that absolutely nothing like what happened in the past will happen with them. They walked me through what they were going to do, step by step, and continued to talk to me throughout my whole appointment as Dr. Yang pulled that broken tooth out. By that time nearly all my fears went away and I was pretty happy to be there. We then went over a treatment plan and they all continually made sure I was comfortable and understood, and that I had nothing to be afraid of with them. At my second appointment I got a cleaning and then Dr. Yang fixed and filled two of my teeth. I was very nervous going in, but they immediately made me feel safe and comfortable. Krishele, Amy F, Amy B, and Dr. Yang are 4 of the most wonderful people I have ever met. The other people in the office were all very nice and understanding as well but I dont know everyones names! I have another appointment scheduled and I am not afraid anymore, I am actually excited to go back!! I cannot thank them enough for helping me overcome my fears, their professionalism and understanding, and of course for fixing my teeth up!!!!

Our experience started out poorly, but Aspen Dental was able to recover. I initially made an appointment in Florida for the initial exam and was told after the exam that the specific office in Florida did not accept my insurance even though I got the dentist directly from my insurance web site AND called to confirm. We were then told that we could go anywhere in the country for our cleaning and to have the dental work suggested. My wife called Aspen Dental in Stubenville and explained the situation. Hours before our appointment they called us and wanted to only do an exam. We already had an exam and the notes and x rays should have been in the "system" after some discussion, they agreed to clean our teeth. When we got there, we were told that they were not sure if they accepted our insurance and it would only be a small fee for the cleaning if they did not accept the insurance. My wife blew a gasket and refused to have our teeth cleaned until they confirmed that our insurance was accepted. While we waited, the dentist examined my teeth AGAIN. They came back and said our insurance was covered, except for the co-pay. Again my wife was upset as we have no co-pay. She had to pull up our plan on her phone and show them we dont have a co-pay. There was a lot of drama, but in the end, they cleaned our teeth and at this time all was covered and we received not bill. The hygienist was pleasant and we like her and the dentist. So it ended well, but we almost walked out.

Everybody in the office was nice however when I left I asked about pain medicine for my tooth and they told me the antibiotic would take care of it I had already had two bad nights and at about 5:30 that evening I started hurting really bad again before I went to the emergency room I called Aspen Dental and got the emergency number when I called them they said that the doctor would call me back within 20 minutes I waited an hour with no reply I went to the emergency room they gave me three Tylenol threes and told me to go back to my doctor the next day I called the doctor the next day and a receptionist repeatedly told me that it would take a couple days for the antibiotics to take place I told her I realize that but Im in pain and I need to sleep so I called their corporate office and they are supposed to have the regional manager call me back thats been an hour ago I will update this if they do call back Im sure that they are good dentist but it seems like after I paid to have the tooth extracted on Thursday now that they have my money they are focusing on other things instead of continuing to help me

Well, I have to admit I have had good experience there with Dr Yang, but I do not care for the hygienist. I do not feel that she gives a good cleaning, and never in all my years with a dentist have they ever not had the dentist give you an exam after your cleaning as they did to me and my husband this last time..AND THE CHAIRS ARE TERRIBLE they practically stand you on your head to work on you I have a bad back so that is really uncalled for, I feel they let those chairs down as they do for their convenience rather than the patients. They should consider theirs patients, other dentist have no problems with having the chairs at a normal level. We have decided to find a different dentist.

This was my first personal experience at this location. Both of my children have been there and we were very pleased with the service they received. I had no problem scheduling an appointment and they took me back within ten minutes of arriving. I think they are very thorough and let you know up front what, if anything, needs to be done and exactly what it will cost after insurance. The staff was very nice and helpful. I gave 4 stars because this first appointment is only to be evaluated. You cant get anything done that day and it was a little while to be able to get in for the next appointment. That said, I would recommend this location and my family will continue to go there.

I was supposed to have a cleaning this morning. They immediately ushered me back to X-Ray. They said because it had been a year since my last appointment, I had to get them again. I asked how much that was going to cost me. $265 for X-rays, exam, and cleaning. I was only able to get ONE cleaning for the year. I have been waiting for an appointment since January 2015. Its August. I was supposed to be put on a cancellation call list, do you think I ever heard anything? So conveniently, no appointments were available in the last 8 months? Seems like they just want that extra annual exam $$$ and only let you go once a year. Im going to take my chances at Steubenville Dental Care.

Im so glad I was told to come to this office because it was by far the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. I feel like they really cared about me and what I wanted and needed. They all have great attitudes. Theyre friendly and welcoming. The office is very nice and the equipment seems to be top notch. I have very bad anxiety and they were understanding of that and did everything they could to ease my nerves. They offer some different payment options and want to help you get your teeth cared for. Im so happy I use this dentist office.
