There are no words that could properly express my gratitude for Dr. Kaur and her amazing staff. These young ladies were simply a delight to be around, very attentive, and encouraging every step of the way. Just a little background: when I first called in, I informed Kimmy (front desk) that I would be requiring a full comprehensive review. I may have jumped the gun a tad when I suggested, “I need implants for my entire mouth.” (Yes, Kimmy and I still smirk about our first meeting.) I knew going in that I had at least twenty-two cavities, all in-between my teeth due to lack of flossing. Take my advice now: spend the extra five minutes running that silly, mint-tasting string through your teeth. It’s worth the effort, I promise. The primary reason I am writing this review is because Kimmy requested that I do so—protocol, of course. I am all of three appointments short of completing a six-month, weekly visit schedule toward the reconstruction of my teeth. Only four teeth needed extracting, and one tooth needed crowned. But sure enough, all of the appointments in-between were devoted to those twenty-two cavities I mentioned. Well, here’s the thing: I have an extreme fear of needles—like, super bad! But that was only an issue the first few appointments. Dr. Kaur learned really quickly how to control my fear by simple adjusting her tone of voice and offering encouraging words as the needle poked through my gums. I’d like to say I champed it out, but there were many times Dr. Kaur suffered through my tears and sobbing voice as the medicine quickly numbed the pain. Dr. Kaur’s assistant was vital toward the success of these past six months. She gave me a common ground—something to talk about during my visits. “You’re getting married,” she’d say. “…in six months…three months…forty-five days!!! This will all be worth the efforts when you see the pictures.” Pardon my pronoun use; I tend to forget names. She had a tendency to discuss different foods as poking devices were in my mouth. I didn’t mind that too much—the gurgling stomach noises kept my focus away from the needles. But her single-sided conversations did make me regret the dinner that was waiting for me at home. Pizza always sounded better. I really need to keep this short, so here is a list I composed for you if you’d ever consider Great Expressions for your dental needs: 1. If you want a sticker, just ask. They’re pretty cool about that. 2. Don’t miss or reschedule an appointment more than once. Kimmy is pretty much a hard ass. 3. Note that the sample toothpaste they give you is bubblegum flavored. I’m 27. 4. Make sure you choose the location best suited for you. Their computers do not interlink. These ladies were right—I’m going to miss them. They’re like family to me now. Just always remember, you’re going to hear good and bad reviews about every dental establishment around. But Great Expressions offers their own insurance to assist with the grinding costs of paying out of pocket. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

I am beyond elated with how natural my new front crown (tooth) looks and feels! Id been embarrassed about how the old crown looked, so I had it replaced. Now, I wish I would have had the capped tooth replaced sooner! It is the best investment I have made in my appearance! I also wish I would have had the deep dental cleaning done a LOT sooner! For years I needlessly suffered with back tooth pain. My teeth used to sometimes bleed when I brushed them, but not any more! Thanks to Dr. Kaur and her dental team, I became pain free after my VERY FIRST VISIT! Ive remained PAIN FREE too! I highly recommend the Great Expressions Dental Team on Byrne Rd. in Toledo, Ohio!

Very kind and caring staff. They make you feel very welcome and as if they truly care about helping you and not just making money. I refused to return to one of the biggest dentist names in the city because they did not answer my questions and snapped a attitude when asked. At great expressions they have put up with all my silly questions and did not snap when I had trouble doing what they asked. Highly recommend!
