Wont being going back, we adopted a cat from the local spca, we had a free "check up" to make sure she is ok and everything, we even had pet insurance. We schedule an appointment, go in and we tell them we are there for a free check up. We were short on funds for any sort of paying for treatments out of pocket, we told them this, so when the doctor finally comes in she is in there for a whole 30 seconds, looks at our cat, turns and says your cat has URI,(upper respiratory infection) we need to give her some anti biotics and medicine. We asked if our pet insurance would cover it, it will but its only a reimbursement. We tell the doctor we wont be able to do the treatment today, our budget wont allow it can we come back thursday, and because of the attitude the doctor gave us, about how she is losing money and we are waisting her time and staffs time we will not return. We gave no such attitude, we told them if they cant bill the insurance then we cant do treatment, there is a way better and more professional manner to do things and the way she acted is why we wont be back, good luck if you go here, bring lots of money cause anything they can say your pet is il for they will just to make a $... I dont EVER right reviews about places, but her attitude did it for me and i wanted to make sure anyone else interested in this place felt my experience incase your in the same cituation... good luck!

In response to the negative review regarding the shelter kitten that was presented for the "complementary exam". This kitten did receive a full examination from the doctor and technician, unfortunately this kitten was very ill which went unnoticed by the family. Complementary shelter exams are for "well visits" however we did extend the free exam and communication for this very ill kitten. The owners were not aware this kitten was sick. The kitten was nervous, had a very high temperature, and bloody mucoid nasal discharge with coughing. We were attempting to not stress the kitten any more than necessary. Once we made recommendations for treatment, it was at this point that the owners let us know that they did not have the funds for any treatments. It was then that they mentioned insurance and we discussed the reimbursement process. We also had the family contact the shelter to discuss their assistance in providing additional care for this very ill kitten. We did provide and send home complementary lysine powder with anti-inflammatories in it for the family at no cost. This visit was extended to discuss options, make phone calls, and discuss medical concerns. Unfortunately this family made some not very nice comments regarding our complementary services that ended the exam with less than my usual smile.

Drs and Staff are outstanding! We have a "tough" case with our German shepherd who had been seen by specialists over an extended period of time that couldnt get her on track. She is feeling good and enjoying life since making a switch to Animal Hospital of West Chester.! Our 2 labs also just love the staff. Drs are sharp and on top of their game which is greatly appreciated! They accommodate our crazy schedules which isnt easily done. Hands down they are the best around!
