There seems to be a significant drop in quality from the office as it was run under Dr. Swearingen. I received a call today telling me that I owed 42 dollars and was 8 months past due. This was news to me. This was despite being under VSP. I was told initially that the issue was that I had failed to meet my deductible. Which is odd because I had met my medical deductible well before the appointment and because my VSP does not have a deductible. So i request clarification. I was then told that it was not an issue with my deductible, but that VSP only covers 80% of the expense. So I looked up the VSP benefits summary, and it stated that it is 100% covered. Which means that they were not doing any actual research into my account, but were apparently just guessing. At this point I realize that the sale of the practice did not include the transfer of competence, and that all it would cost me to end this 15 year relationship was 42 dollars. So I paid the money, cancelled all of their automated reminders, and made an appointment with a new eye doctor. The people are nice, the billing department is not good at its job. But given what incorrectly reported medical collection information can do to your credit score it is not worth the risk. It is also important to note that most of the positive reviews that exist were for the previous practice at this location, and are not relevant to the current owners.

Lume Family Eyecare was more than just an eye exam. The staff and dr were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I was fitted for daily disposable contacts (which are awesome in comfort) and my husband ordered eye glasses that were beyond expectation. The Lindberg frame and the Hoya vision special customized lenses are by far the best ever. He is very picky and cannot believe the quality and how light weight they are. Anyone looking for a great eyecare must go to Lume Family Eyecare in Worthington, OH.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jeffrey Swearingens for the past 12 years now and look forward to seeing him and his staff yearly. Pro Care Vision is located in the beautiful Worthing Mall (The Shops at Worthington Place). Dr. Swearingen and his staff are very caring and helpful! I have been to many optometrists and Dr. Swearingen in my opinion is the best around! If you need a great optometrist, I recommend Dr. Swearingen and his staff for you and your entire family.

YOU NEED TO GO HERE!!!! I just had the best experience with Dr. Papp and the Lume team. They are very modern and the staff is top of the line. I had to find another eye doctor because the mine, who I have been going to for 30 years, had to retire. Dr. Papp has more met my expectations and I feel lucky to have found her.. Great location and facilities.

Dr. Swearengen has been my eye doctor for over 20 years, as well as my daughters. Today, he is my son-in-laws and grandkids eye doctor. I would not allow anyone to take care of them other than someone I trusted completely. I recommend him to anyone that needs an excellent eye doctor.

Very impressed. Had another great experience with Lume. I was seen ASAP for an appointment. The doctor takes her time with me, as Im kinda a coward when it comes to that puff test. Hats off to this office. I would give it 100 stars if I could.

This is a wonderful, expanded practice with a professional friendly staff and an excellent doctor. After a through exam, Dr. Papp suggested a new prescription. I then chose frames from an outstanding selection and was on my way. Highly recommend.
