I brought my 4 year old cat here for what I thought was a regular urinary tract infection. She ended up needing 3 bladder stones removed. I was quoted a price of about $2200 including all diagnostics and everything. The vet was not only so compassionate for my poor kitty but with me as well. She seemed to really understand what kind of struggles I was having. The compassion Dr. Zawardzkas has for everything blows my mind. All the staff is amazing, trustyworthy and completely reliable. I was a vet tech for a number of years and am very picky about who treats my pets. At this cat hospital, they welcomed my knowledge and experience and really worked with me. Dr. Gadwood was also a pleasure to meet. My bill ended up being about $200 less than estimated which really pleased me as well. I will most definitely be bringing my cats here. Take it from someone who has worked with about 9 different veterinarians, these people know what they are doing and really care so much. Youd be doing your pet a disservice if you didnt take them here.

There are not enough words in the English dictionary that describe how much I love The Cat Hospital of Portland!!! The minute you walk in the door and are greeted by Wendy, you know you are in good hands. I have been coming to the hospital since they opened. I moved from another clinic and was immediately thankful. My cats were much calmer when they had to visit. The staff is wonderful! Samantha is one of my all time favorites. They were so compassionate and caring when my cat was diagnosed with IBD and Pancreatitis. The care they gave her up until the end was unmatchable! They went above and beyond, not only with her but with me and my ups and downs too! I cannot say enough good things about The Cat Hospital of Portland. I will contiune to be a patient as long as I have a cat to care for!

From the very first phone call I had with them after being treated poorly at other veterinarian places I knew that I had found the right place. They are the most kind-hearted and knowledgeable cat vets and technicians I have ever met. They helped us navigate through some rough health issues with some of our cats and they always made us feel like our cats were a part of the family. Weve had care from them with an adult cat and from when our little ones were 8 week old kittens, so weve had a full range of quality professional veterinary services. If you love your cat take your cat to the place that loves cats!

In the fall of 2015 my cat, Eva, became ill. I wish I had a fairytale ending, but by the time Eva was symptomatic shed had a cancer spread throughout her body. Im thankful for everything the staff was able to do for me. Opening early so I could drop Eva off for testing, setting aside time to speak with me when they had to give me bad news, keeping Eva comfortable in her final days, and giving her a peaceful and painless passing. I still think about Eva every day, and often about the care we received. This review is long overdue and doesnt begin to describe the depth of my gratitude.

Overall, I have had good experiences at the Cat Hospital. They were very gentle with my fearful cat and loved on my other cat, who is friendly. They even let Friendly Cat walk around the room while Scaredy Cat was being examined. They were able to get me in immediately when I had an emergency and are an excellent source of referrals if you need a specialist. I will say that I am disappointed at their disapproval of raw feeding, which I support. Given the rest of their expertise, however, Im willing to overlook this and I continue to take my cats here.

I take both of my kitties to CHOP and I really love the quality of care they get there. The techs are always really nice and helpful. Dr Gadwood is amazing and she always takes the extra time to discuss treatments, diet, etc. She treats my kitties like they are the only kitties in the world when she sees them which I really appreciate as they are my fur kids. I have referred friends to CHOP and will continue to do so. The staff do great with my young cat and also with my old kitty and I have always been really happy with my experiences there.

I take all three of my cats here and have been very impressed with the level of care & devotion from all of the staff at the cat hospital. They are excellent at communicating with clients about the range of treatments and associated costs; they also make a point to educate owners about their cats health. One of my cats is a cranky little bugger sometimes and they provided some excellent behavioral counselling. I wouldnt take my cats anywhere other than the Cat Hospital of Portland.

I LOVE the Cat Hospital. Ive been bringing my cats here for at least five years, and when one of my cats had to have dental surgery last year, they were extremely kind and compassionate and worked with me on a number of levels to put him in the best possible position. Dr. Gadwood also recommended an inexpensive and very effective treatment for my cats skin allergies. Even though I moved out to Hillsboro, I still bring my cats here because Ive had such a good experience.

I highly recommend going here! They were so nice to my cat and handled her so well. I got to go back into the hospital and love on her while they drew blood and got a urine sample. She usually fights and struggles but she was calm and didnt pull away. They explained everything that they were doing and were so nice. They also helped with bringing down the cost by telling me what tests were necessary and what werent necessary. Amazing place and amazing staff!

I was very unhappy with the service I received from one of the vets here. I didnt feel that she listened to my concerns. She seemed more interested in charging the highest fees possible. She was too busy to communicate with me after the visit. The meds she gave my cat made him feel worse. I went to a different vet (Dr. West at Linwood Animal Clinic) and had a much better experience, and my cat is feeling much better.

I have been a customer for years as the care and concern for my animals is the highest priority. From Wendy at the desk to Samanthas tech skills to any of the vets - my animals are well attended. Thank you for certain good care thus relieving me of my concerns, with the health of my pet, in this case, Mr. Punkin. I would recommend Portland Cat Hospital to anyone, any time.

Every time we take our cats in the staff is super freidnly and helpful. We love Dr. Gadwood and she really cares about our kitties. Whether its a routine check up or sugrery the staff has always been willing to work with us and spend the time with us to make sure our cats get the best possible care. As long as we have kitties Cat Hospiutal of Portland will be our vet.
