Updated Review (after about a year of care): - incredibly knowledgable staff. Everyone (front desk, techs, doctors) is highly knowledgeable and if they dont know the answer, will honestly tell you and do some research before clearly answering your questions. The follow up is top notch. - care (not profit) driven. Pricing on meds and prescription foods is nearly at cost and often matches or beats online pharmacies. A previous vet used to charge me $75 for a monthly med for my kitty. Dr. B charges $20 for that same medication (same name brand and dosage!). - conservative approach to care. Instead of bombarding you with running every lab and diagnostic, Dr. B believes in using common sense and testing with a clear reason for running that test. - respectful atmosphere, between doctors, staff and clients. Each decision for care is an engaged, respectful discussion between doctors, techs, and clients. - sensitive and supportive through pet loss. With the renal failure emergency of our CKD cat, Dr. B was an incredible resource. When it was clear that she was suffering too much and no treatments were improving her condition, Dr. B was able to fit us in immediately and helped us humanely let her cross to the other side. Highly recommend this clinic to any pet owner! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Bertelsen and his staff are knowledgeable and kind. We had a difficult week with our CKD cat crashing and ultimately passing with the help of Dr. B. Throughout this whole crisis, Dr. B and his staff gave us all the treatment options and honestly gave us the poor prognosis. We tried everything until it became clear that it was time to say goodbye. Throughout, the pricing for Dr. B was on the low end of the spectrum that weve seen over the years at other vets. The most important thing: never did I feel frustrated with or mistrustful of Dr. B or his staff. His front desk and vet techs are top notch; extremely knowledgeable and very comforting throughout this past week. Dr. B never misled us regarding the condition and certainly never made us feel like he was upselling us on any treatments or testing. It has been so hard to say goodbye. But with Dr. B and our specialist Dr. Franklins help, we were able to give our girl the best chance at turning her crash around. When that was not possible, Dr. B helped us humanely and peacefully say goodbye. Highly recommend this doc and clinic. So grateful that we ended up here during our crisis.

The staff are friendly, efficient, prioritized, caring, and professional. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes in October 2016, and his condition declined pretty fast in 6 months. He went from gradual to totally blind rapidly, before I could find a good vet to treat my dogs diabetes. Dr. Bertelesen saved his life by getting his diabetes under control. My assessment: unfortunately, the diabetes has probably already done a lot of damage to my dogs body, and Im not sure how much longer hell have. I fully intend to snuggle my fuzzy dude until his dying breath, but now hell have more breaths. I thought I noticed an abnormality in my dogs heartbeat when I used a stethoscope, but I wasnt quite sure. I asked an old vet for his opinion, but they didnt notice a thing. Dr. Bertelsen noticed a heart murmur the first visit. My dogs are my kids. I really wish there were more veterinarians as knowledgeable and compassionate as him. It is a blessing that I found him before it was to late for Toby. Im just grateful for the time I have with my little dude, and Im glad I found a vet I trust my babys life to. I wish I found this place sooner. Im really grateful to Tualatin Park Veterinary Clinic, and I recommend this place. More puppy kisses for everyone!

I have been going to this Vet and Staff for at lest 40 years. They are very friendly, helpful, honest and most of all they care very much for all animals. Also, I like having one Doctor that knows my kids, but in this case both Doctors are the greatest. DR Bertelsen (Owner)and(Vet) has helped me with so many animals from beginning to the end. Hes an Animal Idiot and so is his Staff. I use to think that when he retires I just wont get any more animals, but then DR Burnett joined the gang. She too, has all the great traits and fits right in. I dont trust just any Vet. My animals are my kids and these people treat them as such. Dr Bertelsen, Dr Burnett and Staff thank you so much for so many years and years to come.

DO NOT USE, OWNERS BEWARE, Dr. Bertelsen performed abdominal surgery on my dog in June of 2012, as a result my dog suffered from a horrendous hernia due to not being sutured properly. He never followed up or even asked how my dog was doing post surgery. I had 2 other doctors look at the surgical site and by that time it was too late to repair. Dr. Bertelsen also mis-diagnosed my dogs chronic ear issue. He prescribed an ointment which did absolutely nothing after a week. I than had another doctor look at it and sure enough they found a polyp down in his ear. Dr. Bertelsen never EVEN looked in his ear with a scope. I have documentation, records and witnesses for all of these accounts. Please be careful...

Hands down, I had the best experience from this vet clinic. The staff are super sweet, friendly, upfront and honest. They dont pressure you to get any additional services done or make you feel like a terrible pet owner for not getting them done. The prices are beyond reasonable. 2 years ago I took my Chihuahua to get his teeth cleaned at a place in Beaverton. He had 3 teeth pulled and a teeth cleaning - $600.00 for 1 dog. At Tualatin park vet clinic my chihuahua had blood work, xrays, 6 teeth pulled and a teeth cleaning totaling a little over $400.00!! Great prices and amazing staff...i wouldnt go anywhere else!!

We were recommended to Dr. Lyn by a dear friend who had gone through the the process of euthanasia for her kitty, and we had arrived at that point with our 15 yr old kitty too. It was a sad, heart wrenching experience to go through, and yet Dr. Lyn was so respectful of our pet and of our decision to finally have the procedure done. He listened intently to us without judgement, and lovingly supported us by treating our kittys last moments with gentleness and patience. I am forever grateful for his kind staff, from the first call to their clinic until I eventually walked away with an empty pet carrier.

We started going to Dr. Bertelsen nearly 20 years ago when we adopted our first pets. We moved to Seattle and decided to take our pets to Dr. Bertelsen for their annuals and any procedures needed. Now that we have a newly adopted pet, there is no other place I would go. Dr. Burnett was great with Stella and answered all of our questions. Dr. Bertelsen, not on duty but at the clinic, took a moment to meet our pretty little girl. Nina and Dawn were great, as always, in getting us checked in and out.

Dr. Bertelsen was very thorough and helpful when treating a dog I was fostering with a leaky bladder. He spoke with several colleagues before performing surgery and even showed me the radiographs. He was able to fully answer my questions and I felt confident that he did his research before deciding on a plan. The staff is incredibly sweet and knew who I was just by my name (didnt need to say dogs name or details about her case). Id certainly recommend them again.
