To be honest, I almost didnt go here because of the name. I thought it sounded like a really expensive place. But after taking our new dog to Castle Shannon animal hospital without any helpful results, we decided it was worth a try. I am so glad we went here. The entire staff (receptionist, vet tech, and vet) were incredibly kind and helpful. They paid careful attention to our dog, explained clearly what was going on, and thoroughly discussed our treatment options (and their prices!). We left paying way less than we expected (they charge less for some of the same drugs we got at other places) and finally feeling confident in our dogs treatment plan. I cant recommend this place enough!

"I have had the best care for my pets at A Step Up Veterinary Clinic. This is the by far the best experience I have ever had when dealing with my two boxers, who have had many little illnesses creep up over the past few years. The veterinarian takes as much time as people need to explain the diagnosis, treatment and answer any questions that you have. They truly care about their patients and it shows. They are extremely knowledgable, cutting edge, flexible, have great hours of operation and are reasonable in price. I have recommended this vet to people who have driven over 45 minutes to take their pets for care there. I cant say enough about how great they are. "

This was my first visit to your facility and I just wanted to say how exceptional the staff and facility were. My dog was nervous coming in but the staff was extremely gentle and kind with her. Shes an older dog and needs extra care. The doctor explained everything to me, didnt rush us and was very thorough in his explanation. I received a follow up call yesterday to see how my dog was doing. I would highly recommend anyone that is looking to either change vets or looking for a new one, to please try this establishment out. They are reasonable in price and you can tell that they love the animals that come into the facility!!!!!

I had an unexpected batch of kittens enter my life. A stray hed given birth to seven and they were not doing well when discovered. I was able to take all seven to Step Up. They charged me a single visit rate, as others would have billed for each. They were under weight and had eye and worm problems. Each received wonderful care, full medicines all labeled in separate doses, so I couldnt screw up their care once home. It took a couple follow ups , but all seven, and mom survived. I was able to place all but two in great homes. All are still thriving today. Dusty and Lucky say thanks.

All of the staff at A Step Up Veterinary Clinic truly care about all of the animals that they see! The Clinic was closed over a holiday break and I had some concerns about my dog after a procedure. I contacted them via Facebook about the potential concern, and Dr. Stepusin promptly called me back, called in a prescription, sent prescription directions via Facebook messenger AND called the next day to check on our dog. It is so reassuring and wonderful to go to a VET that cares and will go out of their way to help. I would recommend them over and over again!!!

I tried this practice after 2 others recommended them to me. I was so impressed with how caring and attentive they were to my little dog. She needed dental work done and they did such a wonderful job. The Dr. called me when her bloodwork was done prior to they surgery to let me know she was fine in that area. They called the day after the surgery to check on her. I have been telling everyone about A Step Up and I already had one person try them and she loved them also!

Our first experience with the clinic was a sick appointment for our dog. She had suddenly become very ill. Dr. Stepusin was very thorough and caring. I was impressed that he called to check on Bella each day until she was better. He took the time to go over the test results in detail with me. I was confident that Bella was in good hands. The staff is also very pleasant and helpful.

Not pleased with my visit. Doctor was extremely rude to talk to and very against pits. He said they shouldnt exist as my reply was its on their environment they grow up in. Well let me tell you how fast he stopped from anything coming out of my mouth. Vets are supposed to defend animals for bad reps I thought?
