Pretty horrible experience here. I made an appt for a cleaning and check up as a first time patient. They ONLY scheduled me for a check up so I couldnt get a cleaning. Needless to say, after waiting over an hour for my appointment, I was very frustrated to have only a portion of my appointment completed. It turned out I had 3 cavities and they told me I would have to come back for two separate appts - one for cavities and one for the cleaning. At this point I had been at the office for approaching two hours on what was supposed to be my lunch break. I essentially forced them to fix the cavities while I was there. Prior to fixing the cavities they gave me what I thought was an estimate but then had to pay the full balance of $280 when I left that day. NO ONE explained I would have to pay the full balance and that it had already been run thru my insurance when I signed the "estimate". I am used to being billed for all medical services since I do not have a plan with copays. I wasnt even allowed to set up a payment plan and make two payments, I literally wasnt allowed to leave without paying in full. If I didnt have a DMO I would never go back, but theyre the only place around that accepts my insurance.

This was by far the worst dental experience I have ever had. My cleaning lasted all of 2 minutes after my gums had been ripped apart. Then the dentist, whos name I dont even know because he was so rude, came in look in my mouth for 5 minutes and left the room. The dental assistant explained to me that I had 3 cavities after the dentist did nothing but blow air in my teeth. My insurance apparently doesnt cover fillings so I received an invoice of $700 to fill 3 cavities that I most likely do not even have. In addition I was charged $35 for x-rays and told my insurance doesnt cover that as well. Oddly enough my mother went in the same day as me and did not get charged $35 for her x-rays. When my mother confronted the manager about refunding me the $35 her response was she had to check with the insurance to see what they covered when my mother already explained that they do in fact cover x-rays since she wasntt charged. My mom had the same exact experience as me with the dentist being rude and handing her a bill of $1300 for crowns and fillings of which none were explained to her. This place is nothing but a scam and I will NEVER return here for what they call a "cleaning."

This was easily the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. It cost me around 100 $ for Xrays with the visit and 150 $ for a cleaning WITH MY INSURANCE. (which totaled close to 250) This was the most painful cleaning I have ever had and not once did the cleaner ask me if I was doing okay or if it hurt. The front desk staff were extremely rude and tried to demand that I sign a form stating I would pay for the entire treatment plan and that I agreed to have it without even looking over it. They also did not inform me ahead of time how much the xrays would be and charged me 40$ for an xray that I felt unnecessary. I asked why I needed it before it was administered since I never had one before. (obviously their way of getting your money) They hit me with a huge treatment plan charging multiple times for surfaces that are next to one another, normally a dentist does these free if they are basically touching but not this one. The entire appointment felt rushed except for the times that I was being ignored while others were "cared" for.

I have been a cleint of Gentle Dental for over 2 years now and these people are nothing but WONDERFUL. Ro and Cindy along with the rest of the front desk ladies are beyond friendly and precise. They give each client the respect that they deserve and treat each with the special care that pertains to their program. Your trip only gets better once youve past these ladies you meet Dr.Charnitsky who is an amazing dentist that always has some obscure fact to give each of his clients a chuckle. My five year old niece loves her visits to the dentist! How many can say that. His assistants are on the top of their game. Rudy can fill a tooth and make you one that looks exactly like the tooth you lost practicly with his eyes closed and Jenifer can tell you things about keeping your teeth clean that you never knew. The rest of the staff that I did not name is just as great. These people are not out for money they are one of the only honest doctors offices left!

I was a student in the area and chose Gentle Dental out of convenience of location. I did not have the best time there for my first 3 or 4 years, although Cindy (office manager) was always great. I had a complication from a procedure there which is a long story but suffice it to say that they have been very accommodating. I went back recently (i had moved away) and it seems like they have some new staff and I really like all of them-- the receptionists are very nice and Cindy has been extremely helpful. Its very difficult to find a good dentist, and I wish I could still go here but since I moved, it is too far now. The new Dentist, Dr.P is super nice and gentle! I would highly recommend coming here, they really take care of you, dont push things on you, and I really enjoyed the periodontist they had there, he was very gentle, super nice, and really made sure I was comfortable.

Not only did I need to have a tooth fixed 3 times due to an error reshaping my tooth after it was drilled too much.... I also recieved bills by mail for all 3 visits after asking if I had owed anything at the desk on each visit and was told "No, its covered as touch-up work" After dealing with the rude front desk "lady" and needing to go to another dentist to have him fix the same tooth (guess that wasnt "all that could be done" like this dentist told me),,,,, I wouldnt recommend the Haverford office to my worst enemy. In all it took this office 5 months to work on one tooth unsuccessfully and I still had to go somewhere else to have it fixed. Beyond unprofessional if you ask me.

My husband and I have been going to Gentle Dental for 6 years and have been nothing but happy. Love the way the staff gets along and interacts with one another. Also love the way every step of the way you are told what is coming next and exactly what to expect. I am a very nervous dental patient. My kids have been going to a pediatric dentist and have been complaining, so I decided to bring them here. They asked why I made them go to that other horrible place for so long. Toys and movies dont make up for being treated kindly! Love these guys! Apts are hard to get probably because they are so good!

Ive been going to Gentle Dental for several years now. Back in April I took a fall down some concrete steps, leaving some severe trauma to my mouth and me without two front teeth. Dr. Nached and his team were so wonderful to me and really made me feel comfortable as I continuously cried through my visits. Terri, the office manager, is fabulous and has helped accommodate my needs and I couldnt be more grateful to the entire office staff! I am so happy with my new teeth and although I wish I didnt have to go through the experience, Im very lucky I had this dentist to help me.
