Took my 6.5 yr-old dog to the V-E-T because he was scooching his butt across the floor (typical dog behavior, right?). Turns out he had clogged glands that were really bothering him and needed to be "cleaned out." SVH took us right away (like within 1/2 hour of my call!) and prescribed meds. At the follow-up visit 10 days later, it was obvious that the dog was still in some discomfort, as the glands were not as empty as they should be. Once again, SVH readdressed the problem and sent us on our way. I have only been a "patient" of SVH for about 1 1/2 yrs, having switched from another vet that my family had been with for 30+ years and four dogs. I made this change only after carefully researching others opinions. Word-of-mouth recommendations in favor of SVH is what ultimately made up my mind. I find that its way too easy to be critical and find fault. I have had only positive experiences with SVH, for both scheduled and impromptu visits, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet partner.

Im very happy with the care I receive for my animals at Schwenksville Vet. Each and every person I encounter is kind, thoughtful, professional and spends the time my animals and I need. We receive amazing care yet I have never feel pressured with extra services or add-ons that Ive encountered at previous vets hospitals. They have always guided me in the right direction to keep my pets healthy and well. Which can be difficult as I currently have multiple geriatric pets. Schwenksville Vet--and especially Dr. Anna and Dr. Ross have earned my trust. I cannot thank them enough for the care and concern they have showed me--especially over the last year. They literally saved my Lily after I was sure she only had weeks to live. Schwenksville vet has been an important part of the continued wellness of my family and I will continue to use and recommend them. They are wonderful and Im so lucky to have found an amazing group of medical professionals to provide top notch care.

I highly recommend this vet. Read on to find out why, dear animal-appreciator. My giant schnauzer/bouvier mix was not moving, so I brought him here for treatment. They saw my dog right away, ran a test for lyme, on-site, while I waited. After checkinghim over as thoroughly as possible without super-expensive machine-image testing, & asking about his recent life events, diagnosed a strained back, said needed doggie ibuprofen (carprofen, I suppose its named after what some of them like to chase & stick their heads out of). The vet & his staff there did a quick and efficient job, with good bedside, er... blanket-on-the-floor-side manner. Their facility is very nice, modern, & clean. Sometimes they arent equipped for what you might need, in which case, they might send you to the big vet clinic in Norristown, which is where they sent me in December of 2013, when my previous dog had a seizure.

We love Dr. Ross, Dr. Anna and all of the wonderful women who work at Schwenksville Vet! Our family includes three cats and a dog, so we visit at least four times a year. We are always made to feel welcomed by the friendly, smiling faces of Lise, Tracy and Traci - these women truly love animals! Arneda, Jeannie and Sam take the time to listen to our concerns, offering really sound advice, all while showering our fur babies with affection and attention. They are gentle and really skilled at calming down any pet-nervousness. Dr. Ross and Dr. Anna are fully present, and attentive and thorough. Most of our visits are routine check-ups, but when there is a problem, I know that we are in very good hands. We have been patients at Schwenksville Vet for almost 10 years now, and we are very happy and satisfied!

Experiencing the pain of rising vet costs (for three dogs) in the area, we started searching for a reasonably priced Vet who provides consistent and excellent care to our animals. We ABSOLUTELY found that and more at Schwenksville Vet! The biggest thing for me and my husband was Consistent care by the same vet who takes the time to learn and grow with your furbabies. Dr. Anna and Dr. Ross provide a very comforting atmosphere for your pets and the vet techs and doctors take the time to get to know the pet and Remember them when they return. The office staff is great too and always helpful and considerate when speaking to them on the phone. Try Schwenksville Vet you will never go back to your old vet! I wish they had day care at Schwenksville as well! We would certainly utilize that service.

I have been taking my babies here for the past 12 years. The staff is amazing! You can see how much they care and love your little fur baby. You and your pet feel so welcomed when you are there. And dont be surprised but they spoil them!! Plus their compassion, when its that hard/sad time, Dr. Ross and his staff are so wonderful and understanding . I had to go through the pain of my 3 angels and with each one I could see how much love and care they had and shown, each time I saw tears in their eyes because they love are babies so much. So when I got my new baby a couple years later I couldnt think of any better place to take her. Dr. Ross and all his wonderful vet techs never make you feel like a bad mom. They just love and care for your animal as if they are theirs!

I take both of my kitties, Mitts and Chloe, here. The staff is always kind, courteous, and gentle with my girls. Most recently, Chloe had to have dental surgery to remove MOST of her teeth. It was the first time I had to leave one of my girls for an extended period of time and I was obviously nervous and upset. The staff made sure to keep in contact with me on her progress and explained things, in detail, when I did not understand fully what was happening. Though I live closer to Limerick Vet, I drive out of my way because Schwenksville Vet is AWESOME! Dr. Ross, the ladies at the front, and all the nurses make every visit welcoming and nice. Thank you!

I recently bought in my cat Moose (known as Piranha to most people as she is a MEAN cat who bites everyone!) to see Dr. Ross due to her limping on one of her legs. I was VERY impressed! They were very honest and told me an x-ray was not even necessary due to the doctor finding a bite wound from the neighborhood stray cat on her back leg. Dr. Ross was very nice to Moose and let her lay in the exam rooms cat scale (which I guess Moose thought was a hammock) the entire time and Moose didnt seem nervous at all. Best part was...Moose did NOT bite anyone! This is a cat that most folks are scared to go anywhere near. As far as I am concerned, Moose has a new vet!

We recently relocated to the area and were referred to SVH by a friend and specialty vet. So glad we choose this clinic for our two dogs. The entire staff is friendly and client sensitive. No problem getting an appointment for emergency visit. The clinic is clean and state of the art. The vet and staff are patient and havent suggested doing more procedures than are necessary to complete diagnosis. All of our diagnostic work was done immediately and in house. The fee schedule is in line with our previous western pa vet. Definitely recommend this clinic for your pet care.
