This vet and his staff are beyond great. Dr. Holmsten has helped my labs with many issues and he genuinely cares about animals. His staff is very nice and the clean and new facility is always sparkling. Brad is always very kind and gentle with my dogs and has an excellent way of making you understand the options for care. His prices are more than some vets and less than others. The service and care is worth every penny. My English lab was hit by truck and I took him to Dr. Holmsten right after, He and his staff met me at my car and advised me that he needed major orthopedic surgery and referred me to a hospital. He definitely knows his stuff and also the limits of what they can do there. He kept in contact after the surgery and has even x rayed him for me to check his progress. I had been using an older woman vet in West Chester that is an icon and was cheaper. She did not care about animals any more and her staff was abusive. You get what you pay for, and Animal clinic of Westown is worth what they charge.

After calling numerous vets (including the veterinarian that I have gone to for 20 years) and services, I finally came across Animal Clinic of Westtown and Dr. Holmsten. Our 11 year old Shepherd had a sudden onset of a debilitating disease which renders the hind quarters usless. Max needed to be put down, but we wanted to have it done at our home. Doctors were charging $400 to $500 for the visit, which did not include taking the body (we wanted to bury him)and we just could not afford it. Dr. Holmsten was recommended by Pete Pagano (Paw Prints Forever, on Rt. 202), and couldnt have been a more sensitive, compassionate man in our time of need. His charge was less than half that of the others. He took the financial worry out of one of the saddest times. I will switch vets and recommend the two men to all I know. We have been bringing our dog Tiger to the Animal Clinic of Westtown Village since we adopted him from a puppy rescue 5 years ago. We feel at home there. All of the staff are friendly, caring and accommodating. No question is ever treated as a silly one, though Im sure some of mine have been! They make sure to remind us when he is due for a test or immunization. We also have Tiger groomed there which is convenient and all of the groomers have been great. If I am unable to pick him up when the grooming is complete, they will keep him there for me as long as needed. I have also dropped him off early if needed. Dr. Holmstein and his clinicians are great with Tiger who is excitable, but also timid sometimes at visits. We are definitely satisfied customers of the Animal Clinic of Westtown Village!

Dr. Holmsten is the best. We have a rescue who has had nothing but problems. Our old vet had her on Prednisone and misdiagnosed her. When we got to ACWV, Dr. Holmsten knew exactly what was wrong with her. He has a great touch and a no-nonsense approach. Pam and Katie in the office are wonderful. The hours of the clinic are flexible. I definitely trust them with our babies. We have 2 dogs.

The best in the area hands down. We have been to several Vets in the area and too many play games or try to milk you for every extra dollar, not here. Its all about your pets health first, no unneeded procedures...just an honest and friendly staff that will take care of your pet an you. What a great group!!
