I started seeing Dr. Janssen when I was in a car accident, and was referred to see him by my attorney for a neck injury. In the beginning of my treatment plan, he was very attentive and I felt like the treatment was working. As my appointments carried on I no longer felt relief, and after a while the stim treatments started to be painful. I mentioned that I had lost feeling in my upper back and he said this sometimes happens. At this point he only turned the stim machine down, instead of stopping them. My visits in the beginning had been fiftheen- thirty mins and by the ends of my visits I was laying on the table for forty-fifty-five minutes. At times he would come in and the heat that had been put on my back was cold. At the end of my treatment, he administered a final range of motion test immediately after an adjustment which he admitted probably shouldnt have done so soon after an adjustment, which resulted in a Three-day long migraine. In the beginning of my treatment, I couldnt sit in a chair without severe pain. After the 3-month treatment, I could sit in a chair but it was still in pain and had horrible headaches. Three months after treatment the numbness that began while seeking treatment disappeared. Now 7 months after I stopped treatment I can comfortably start walking again without pain and or headaches. When it finally came time to settle my insurance claim, I realized that his office never filed a claim with my health insurance, which I was told by the adjuster that he was obligated to do so since I had given my insurance information at my initial visit. When I requested them to do so, they became very hostile and belligerent and refused to do so (because it would have reduced the fee by $1200). The whole process eventually became too frustrating that I gave up fighting about it. It is a shame that this profit was valued over a client relationship and friendship.

Several years ago I had a shoulder/neck injury causing severe pain, uncomfortable movement or shall I say lack of movement.... I had never considered seeing a chiropractor before but was referred to the Janssen Family practice by several close friends. So, I went for it, scared as heck and really had no idea what to expect! Honestly I thought chiropractors just cracked necks! Dr. Janssen was amazing! He was very informative before any treatment even started, walking me through he procedures and showing me what was going on through the X ray. I didnt feel like his patient, I felt like a friend. I am not easily relaxed and it took a few visits before I could relax enough to let him move my body enough to get the pressure to release. He was patient, kind, considerate and again, INFORMATIVE! I never felt like I didnt understand how or why he was doing something. He spoke "my language " and didnt use medical terms I wouldnt get. After a brief three month treatment, I was 110% better! Dr. Janssen and the wonderful woman in his office were kind, considerate and accommodating even after I missed a few appointments due to bad scheduling on my part! I went back a few years later for a what I thought was a cracked rib, I felt right at home, like Id never stopped seeing him! As a huge skeptic I can honestly say his treatments changed my life... No gimmicks, no pills, just therapy! I would recommend Janssen family practice to anyone who is looking for a chiropractor, it was truly an amazing experience.

I was having trouble sitting in the car and sleeping due to lower back pain, neck pain and pain particular in my hip. I was skeptical of the general field of chiropractor, because I didnt know anything about it. Dr. Jansen took his time and explained everything to me on whats going to take place and on how he will be able to help in the long run. I found this approach particularly satisfying since there was a very clear connection between what was bothering me and what Dr Jansen was doing to treat it. Two big things for me were 1) I felt immediate relief from the treatment and 2) His focus was on getting me better, not getting me to sign up for recurring visits. Dr. Jansen laid out a realistic treatment plan and, if anything, understated the benefits of what he does - pretty unique from what I know about the world of chiropractors. He is also very accommodating of appointment timing and even agreed to come in to the office during his off time to treat me when my lower back issue was flaring up. Simply put - the treatment is intense and effective. Im glad I found this place.

I first met Dr. Janssen about 3 years ago now late on a Friday evening, barely able to walk. I had been diagnosed earlier in the day with SI dysfunction, and went home to see if I could get in to a good quality chiropractor. Dr. Janssen called me back within minutes of leaving a message, and he could feel the pain I was in while we were on the phone. He was kind enough to schedule me for later that afternoon (probably like 5 or 5:30pm) on a Friday - when every other doctor had gone home for the weekend, and others unable to get me in until later the following week. I walked out of there that evening, and have been seeing him ever since (besides one brief attempt to stop going). A truly great experience and someone who cares for the whole body through his work.

My Accupuncture doctor recommended Dr. Janssen to me many years ago as the only chiropractor "she would let touch her". Thats a pretty strong recommendation so when I needed chiropractic I went to see him. I have found his care very gentle and thorough. Whenever I have a concern he listens carefully and adjusts his practice accordingly. I have a strong aversion to my neck being adjusted, but since my neck is the problem I have to have it done. Dr. Janssen understands and gets the job done in the gentlest and most effective way possible. I have no regrets about seeing dr. Janssen. Hes the best!

I was referred to Dr. Janssen by a dear friend when I had debilitating sciatic pain, which left me barely able to walk. Having never been to a Chiropractor before I was skeptical, but Dr. Jansen took the time to explain the nature of my pain, the course of treatment, and the approximate length of time it would take to feel better. His main concern was pain management without the use of drugs. It has been a process, but I found he and his staff to be patient, understanding and sympathetic to my pain and "grumpiness". Thanks to Dr. Jansen I am now pain free and back to my normal self.
