This was the worst vet experience I have ever had. I dropped my 7 year old cat off (who is very well-nourished, healthy and well behaved at home) at Paw Prints at 8:30am on a Monday. She was supposed to get a bath/brush out (she has long hair so we bathe and brush regularly at home), followed by a wellness visit and annual vaccinations. Immediately upon walking in, I had a negative experience. The staff at the front desk were impersonable, preoccupied, and rude. I was told not to pick my cat up until 3pm which I thought was a little absurd but I agreed and went home. I received a call a couple hours later saying my cat was "acting out" and would need to be sedated in order to get her bath and have her exam. She never "acts out" at home, which let me know that something was off. I explained that I did not want her sedated and to skip the bath and attempt the exam once she calms down. They reluctantly agreed after saying she needed sedated just for her exam (?) and then said they would call and keep me updated. Two hours passed and no call came. I called back and they hadnt even attempted to see my cat again after the first phone conversation. They said she was "calming down in her crate". Finally, the doctor called and said my cat looked "skinny" and needed blood work. Therefore, they needed to sedate her in order to draw blood. I thought this was a little absurd since my cat is adequate weight for her age and has unlimited access to high quality food at home. However, I reluctantly agreed to the blood work because of the vets recommendation. They were supposed to call when the exam was complete. 4:45 came and I never received a call. When I called to inquire, they shuffled around on the phone and finally said she was ready for pick up. I arrived 5 minutes later and waited in the lobby for 25 minutes until waited on and then I was told the "doctor wanted to see me". I went to the exam room and waited another 10 minutes until another doctor who didnt even see my cat came in and explained that my cat was "bleeding from a spot on her paw" that they wrapped up and after "miscommunication" the bandage was "ripped off" from another staff member and that she continued to bleed. I then waiting ANOTHER 10 minutes until they actually brought my cat out (she has been there for a total of NINE hours now) and was told "sorry, she had an accident on herself, and we tried to clean it up the best we could". Side note: she NEVER has accidents at home. She was so upset until I picked her up. She went from growling in her crate to purring and snuggling her head in my arms. We got home and she was STARVING. She scarfed down 2 bowls of food and a bowl of water in just a few minutes (and this is a petite cat who normally only eats small amounts at a time). Another side note: the blood work came back completely normal. So... 9 hours, unnecessary sedation, $300 dollars, and a VERY upset, hungry, and bleeding cat later... nothing positive was accomplished except vaccines that she could have received from a local clinic for $20. I never give negative reveiws. I work in healthcare and I understand how businesses work. But this whole experience was ABSURD and I will never return.

After spending a lot of money to take my dog into the ICU over a weekend for what was originally diagnosed as pneumonia, I was not able to afford the extra $2k that it wouldve cost for her to see a specialist to run the diagnostics after she was not recovering with treatment. With a broken heart and with very little hope I took her to Paw Prints Animal Hospital in Easley to see if they could do anything. She was seen by Dr. Cousins and he was very candid in the risk we would be taking by giving her prednisone since we had no idea what was causing her lungs to fill with fluid (because pneumonia did not seem to be the correct diagnosis that the hospital gave). I stayed home with her to monitor how she did just in case she made a turn for the worse. After coming back that same afternoon to administer her antibiotic shot I had let Dr. Cousins know that I had to return to work the next day, but I was afraid to leave her home alone. Without hesitation, he just told me to bring her in the following morning and he would be sure she stayed in a quiet spot until I could come get her in the evening. I can not say enough good things about Paw Prints and their staff, especially Dr Cousins. He took care of Kira as if she were his own pet. I am forever thankful for him and for saving Kiras life. Although, she has many more weeks of treatment, I am a lot more confident that she will continue to recover.

I had to go here a couple mnths ago with my mom to have her cat put down (cancer/old age) It was a random choice due to proximity to my home. There is a great vibe in the office, the staff even has their pets behind the counter! This being an uncomfortable, yet necessary visit, you want it to be as quick and decent as possible. We were taken right in, the nurse was genuinely concerned for my sad mom and her cat. Then we met the doctor, (his name escapes me) but this man was the most gentle, caring , and genuine vet Ive ever been to or met. They gave my mom time before and after the procedure to grieve w/her kitty. And after the cat was "asleep" ,the nurse picked her up so gentle, as if she was still alive , even stroking her head! We opted for cremation (very reasonable) and within a few days, they sent us a "in memory " card expressing their sympathy. How sweet was that!? No doubt I will be using paw prints exclusively for my other animals from now on. Theres no question of their love of animals, and from moment 1 you will see the difference of this place. Great prices, top notch services, even grooming!
