The Office Manager is terribly rude with NO personal skills at all. I have spoken with her more than once. The nurses are rude, with no sensitivity to problems the patient may have, just black/white rules, after that, they do not care. Their PA is the most incompetent medical person I can remember, and I have been an RN for many years. I was diagnosed with cellulitis, even though there were no labs or cultures. I got no pain relief from the medication she prescribed. When I called to let them know, I was told that I needed to go to an Emergency room for my pain control if what she prescribed was not enough. She did not communicate with any ER that I needed to be reevaluated for treatment and pain control due to cellulitis. The nurse stated that "Thats up to you", (which ER I chose to visit). So I did. Blood work was done. Proper diagnosis and treatment followed. IV antibiotics given right then, and a change in my other medications. It has taken a follow up visit (NOT HERE), my antibiotics were changed to something stronger and I can put a slip shoe on again. Since my first visit, no phone calls to check on me, or let me know what the ER report said. (I asked them to fax a report to PFP. PFP, be careful who you choose to "wright off", they may have some medical experience,....or just have half of a brain. I plan to move my business elsewhere.....this is a BUSINESS when everything is said and done.

This doctors office is the absolute worse. If anyone can tell me a doctors office in the area that actually cares about its patients and wants to help their patients get better please let me know! Ive been going here for 15 years and I must say it is ridiculous how awful they are! Dr Koch just wants to throw you on every medication known to man and get you out the door. The office staff is usually somewhat rude. The wait in the waiting room is at least 30 minutes to an hour every single time no matter the circumstance, and lets not forget the 30 minute wait once they actually put you in a room. I had blood work done here once and the lady missed the vein left the needle bouncing around in my arm and went to get someone else to do the blood work... and last but not least if you are on medications and need refills GOOD FREAKING LUCK! I cant count on my hands and feet how many times theyve messed up my prescription amount of refills and Ive had to call up there thousands of times to try to get them to send my stuff into my pharmacy! Overall if I could give this place a zero I would and Im in the health field in college! Your supposed to have a passion for helping people... No one here has that.

A family member of mine went to seek medical help while in a very vulnerable state. This family member is dealing with depression and anxiety as well as health concerns as a result of a major surgery. Dr. Mathis did nothing, absolutely nothing. They made them feel judged and insignificant. Worst experience. You never know what state of mind someone is in and if they go to seek help, the last thing they need is to feel judged and ridiculed. It should be a safe environment with the main concern of assisting the patient. Where we thought this would be a step towards help, it sent them steps backwards. I wouldnt trust my loved ones care in the hands of these doctors.

I have been going to this office for about 30 years. It has gone to pot! I cant express how rude the staff is. The only person there that treats you like youre a human being is Amelia Crawford but her nurse has some serious issues, she is the rudest most disrespectful nurse I have ever encountered in my life and Ive worked in healthcare for over 25 years. They have less than half of the patients they use to have when they had real doctors there and you have to wait hours to see anybody (and thats with an appointment) And God help you if you ever have to see Karla!

my friend and i went on recommendation of dr, coker in columbia, wrong move, my girlfriend sat for 40 minutes, nude, waiting for doctor, she didnt come until i was texted, in other room, by my gf, i saw the dr. sitting reading paper, i gave him hell, he got moving, ,, then even tho i was textically examined complain ing of pain, i was never told a thing, nothing, no chat talk nothing, i would not take my dog here, i am looking for a new dr, not a stupid PA.. and they call me for my co pay, unbelieveable gauuul,,,

Worst Place to go EVER!!! Call this morning the minute they opened to come in for a UTI. Said they couldnt see me until Thursday. Ive never heard of not being able to take a walk in all day but they couldnt for 2 days. Doesnt make sense at all!!!! Ive been going there for years and every time I go it gets worst. I wont be going back!!! Unprofessional office staff Rude every time Ive ever been in there. Also waiting room time are extremely long. Even when no one is in waiting room.

This place has the absolute worst service I have EVER encountered by a doctors office. I have never been treated so poorly. Their service is so bad on the inside of the counter there is a sign remind the desk worker who interacts with patients to "speak positive, not negative" the doctors nurse I had been dealing with over a prescription basically called me a liar regarding a phone message I left her. I will never recommend any new moving into the area to use them.

Dr Collis Barksdale is a knowledgeable Doctor. He has been practicing for many years. The reception staff could improve on their services but the doctors more than make up for this in the level of care given. I feel comfortable with the Dr and feels he is very accessible which means a lot to a busy family on the go. His services are above average in a world where everyone is just a number, its refreshing to know he still cares. Thanks Doc!!!!!!

New patient. I found the staff to be courteous and friendly. Dr Smart was knowledgeable, friendly, asked and received questions. She made me at ease and took her time. The lab tech was awesome too. Didnt feel the needle at all. I feel blessed to find them. I read some of the other reviews and I cant imagine this office being rude to anyone. Certainly didnt witness that for myself.

Its been a while since Ive been to this office. Ive been lucky enough to get in on the last minute before. But my take away has always been rude office staff. So much so I dont regularly see a doctor for physicals because the wait time and staff make a doctor-shy patient even more intimidated. I wish I knew of a "good" page to go in Powdersville.
