Horrible experience! The worst encounter with "medical professionals" I have ever experienced. They are not "professionals" at all. I have an auto immune disease called Hidradentitis Supporitva (HS). Not only had the doctor never heard of it, nor take the time to look it up, he injected a numbing liquid, that shot out of the other side of skin that they had in a pinched position. He then proceeded to use his scalpel to make a cut about one inch in length, across a spot he thought to be infected. When nothing came put but a large amount of blood, and no infection, he made another cut, only more blood, so he made a third cut, and once again nothing but a LOT of blood. I was told they were sending specimens to a lab and they would call with results. They gave me a prescription for strong antibiotics, and wrapped my now 3 extremely painful cuts with one layer of gauze and told me I could go. When I asked if they could cover my now 4 wounds, instead of the the 1 I came in with, better and if they could please give me a shot of the numbing agent that actually stays inside to ease the pain or at least give me something for it, I was told "no, we dont do that for stuff like this". Ive never been more appalled or insulted. I have no kind of addictions and I had never even been to this hospital, considering I only moved to the area a year earlier. I live less than 1 mile from this chop shop of a "hospital" and by the time I arrived home, my brand new car seat, shorts, leg, sock, and shoe were covered in blood and I could barely stand. I immediately went inside our house and rebandaged my wounds and laid down. I was in horrendous pain and within 15 minutes, my new bandaging, my sheets, and mattress were covered in blood. I eventually used super glue to close the 3 cuts the "doctor" made, as that was the ONLY way I could stop the bleeding. I have pictures from every event, including the very large cuts and absurd amount of blood even before I left the "hospital. Ive left out many of the overly gross TMI details, but it was not legal treatment and with my conditions could have easily led to sepsis and even my death. This has been MY only experience because I will never willingly return, but my family has had huge issues as well. One including; them telling my father in law, myself, and the my wife, that my wifes father was having a massive heart attack. I personally had to call his other children to tell them, which was nothing less than a tramatic experience. We were never updated by the idiots of Crockett Chop Shop. We raced to Maury Regional where he was to be transported to, and thank God we were told he had not been having a heart attack at all, much less a massive heart attack (I watched my best friend/mother/grandmother die from a massive heart attack as EMTs tried to save her). He had inflammation. There are many more, but these are 2 of my own awful experiences, and I would never allow anyone I love to be taken to, or treated by the incompetent staff at Crockett. Its a Crock alright but not a hospital that should be trusted. I seriously considered a lawsuit over my first experience and could have easily won considering what they did and the violations that occurred, but decided against it due to not wanting to see the only medical life flight pad home closed. That is the ONLY thing that place is good for. Getting anyone seriously injured transported out of this town faster and receiving basic treatment quicker. If you need a bandaid or a splinter pulled out, I still do NOT recommend you going to this so called hospital. If your loved one is taken there, I would highly suggest that you demand they be transported elsewhere. Their life more than likely will literally depend on getting treated elsewhere. Thankfully I didnt die, but as I said with my conditions, it could have easily happened had I not known how to treat myself from the damage they did, and Im sure almost every single person in this town has heard at least one of the stories, of when a death was caused by this place, instead of prevented.

Had cataract surgery in both eyes a month apart. Was performed by DR Weikert Daniel S. MD of Vanderbilt Eye Institute. First surgery went great no discomfort or pain during procedure whatsoever. Second eye, not so lucky. I was told by Dr Susan Methvin that she would be my anesthesiologist and she would take care of me. When taken to the operating room I had only had drops to dilate my eye. I remember everything. My head was strapped down and hands tucked in and a young man smiled and said he was going to give me some happy juice. I thought that would be great. In less that a minute Dr Weikert started working on my eye and was practically screaming at me to hold both eyes open and look up. I really tried to do what I was told, after all he was working on my eye. I didn’t say anything, just followed instructions. It seemed like an eternity but I’m sure it was just a few minutes. I’m just thankful he was good at what he does or I would be blind in one eyes. I truly believe that the Dr knew I was not sedated, but he used the excuse to Dr Robert Remke, my Optometrist, that once he starts there’s no turning back. Also want to mention I was the late patient for the day. I actually blame the Dr and the hospital staff for the terrible experience I had that day. I refer to it as being water boarded. Ellis R. One of the worse hospitals went to ER for flu like symptoms. They end up doing a bunch of test just to tell me I had the flu, which I already knew. They tell me how to remedy my pain and fever by drinking water and eating soup then send me on my way with ibuprofen. A week or so later they send me a bill for $5000 but say I only have to pay $1058 as if their doing me a favor. I call up the billing department and they give me the run around. Apparently they charge you for any equipment or PPE the Dr uses, time you are there, and services provided. To get hit with a ridculous bill like this for crappy medical care is outrageous. My visit was three hours bc they took their sweet time to tell me what I already knew and the only care they gave me was some water plus advise on how to take care of the flu, which again I already knew. I dont pay the bill right away bc I was not working at the time, so they send the same bill for $1058 to two collection agencys. I pay one eventually and they are still trying to make me pay the other. If you dont have insurance they will F you over; some good advice stay clear of this hospital.
