My daughter went to see Dr Barrows last week. I had scheduled the appointment & she showed up at the appointed time & date. They told her they have to would "squeeze her in" because her appointment was actually for the next day. Im SURE it was not! The doctor spent only a few minutes with her for a quick diagnosis (sorry, doc, no need to do surgery...). Next, as she was leaving they told her they would fax a prescription for an antibiotic to the pharmacy. She requested the paper prescription so she could take it herself & they said it would be easier for them to just fax it. By end of day, the pharmacy still had not received it. They still had not received it by the next day. Now, two days later, the pharmacy STILL has not received the faxed script. Calls to the office go unanswered & there is no kind of answering service. So, including today & the weekend, she will be going without the medicine a total of 6 days! I assume if what she had was nothing, there would have been no need for medicine. Hopefully it wont get worse & require an urgent visit to another caregiver over the weekend, costing US more money due to their lack of follow-through! If the man, &/or the staff, cant handle the load & having 3 offices around the area, they need to scale down their practice & maybe I can help.... I WILL be letting our insurance know about the level of care she received & question whether or not he should even be paid. In the past we have seen his PAs & been pleased with their care, but this is ridiculous! The location is convenient & all but, I doubt well go back. Someone said, "Theyre the only game in town," so I guess they presume everyone will put up with their mess. They need some competition to get them straightened out!

I suppose I am a little impatient when it comes to medical treatments. I HATE to have to wait in a waiting room, then wait in the office for the Doctor. I had an appointment last week as a new patient and I arrived at the time my appointment was scheduled. The new patient paperwork took maybe five minutes to complete and there wasnt a bunch of redundant information to enter. I waited about five minutes after filling out my paperwork then was called to the back. The nurse asked a couple of questions and I had about a three minute wait until Dr. Borrows came in. A chatter, he is not, but it seems like he knows his stuff. He removed a couple of moles I had that were questionable and asked if I had any questions. When I didnt he said it would be about 10 days for the results and they would call me. I was out the door in less than half an hour all together. I was tickled!

I try to schedule appointments with doctors as early in the day as possible with the thinking being I will not be waiting long because they just cannot get that far behind early in the morning. I had an 8:30am appointment, was there 15 minutes early for the paperwork and he finally saw me at 9:30am (he was an hour late). When he finally entered the room I was ready for him to apologize (or at least acknowledge being late). Of course that did not happen. In fact, what I got was sort of god-complex type of attitude that many doctors unfortunately have. He could not have seemed less interested, and seemed sort of bothered that he had to spend his 5 minutes with me - which he billed out over $300 for. Of course I have moved on to another dermatologist. Oh, by the way, what he prescribed actually made my problem worse. Maybe if he cared he would do his job better.

Worst visit by a provider, ever. I was seen recently and the entire visit started off terrible because of a rude receptionist who looked put out that she had to be at work. She was on her cell phone the entire time and barely looked up to greet anyone who walked in. She was late getting my chart and letting anyone know she was there because she was busy on her phone. It wasnt until I confirmed the appointment time that she actually put hands on my chart. Then I get back to see the doctor and he spend maybe MAYBE 5 minutes with me discussing his diagnosis. I was visibly upset and he just left. The only good thing about the appointment was the nurse, who was very kind. I had many more questions and concerns but no one to ask. I was do disappointed. I will never return to this practice and certainly will not refer anyone to them in the future.

I see Dr Bruno and the Allen staff quarterly. Needed an emergency visit today and Melissa was able to accommodate me right away. When I showed, she was her usual vivacious self. Courteous, friendly, and personable when she greeted me and signed me in. I waited about five minutes and Nicole called me back to the exam room. She did a quick assessment of my situation and soon joined Dr. Bruno for the exam. They treated my situation and I was soon back on my way. Matt Bruno and his staff are all professionals in their fields and they treat the patient with passion, concern, and when needed, a little humor. I thoroughly enjoy my visits with Dr. Bruno and his staff. Kira, Nicole, Melissa, and Amanda are valuable assets to the Allen office. My day is always brighter after a visit with this group of professionals.

There are no words to describe his worst service. Poor bed side manner, horrible comunication skills and even worse prescription happy doctor who will prescribe a medication without knowing the diagnosis. I asked the doctor what is his opinion was about my condition, and response was rude. Also, be absolutely aware of him doing any procedures in his office because insurance code on that procedure will be a surgical code (code is how these doctors get paid). Meaning the portion of the claim will be your responsiblity and that can be in hundereds. In condition like these, staff will ask for your consent or atleast mention the cost associated with it and they didnt.

I got into poison ivy the weekend before I was to fly to Pittsburgh for a work conference. I woke up Monday morning with swollen eyes as it had started to appear on my face! My flight was at 10:45, so I took a chance and walked into the office as soon as the doors opened and told them my situation. They squeezed me in and Matt Bruno set me up with an arsenal of stuff to help combat my ever growing rash. It was a miserable trip, to say the least, t but it could have been a lot worse had Mr. Bruno and his staff not taken the time to see me that morning, without an appointment. Thank you!

I highly recommend Matt Bruno. I suffered from stubborn warts on my fingers. I had been fighting them with various treatments, from two other dermatologists. After painful treatments every three weeks, for almost two years, they werent getting better and I didnt see any hope. Then, I was referred to Matt by a family member. What a difference! I noticed right away that he was caring and knowledgeable about solving my problem. Thanks to Matt, theyre GONE, after a small fraction of the ordeal I went through before him. Thank You Matt.
