I would not recommend this organization whatsoever. We went there about 90 days ago to have both mine and my wifes eyes checked and while the service was relatively well management is horrible. My wife call back recently after we got our glasses from another vendor because their prices were far excessively high than what we found that others and we shop five sources and they were the highest priced. My wife called them and wanted to make sure that the glasses prescription that she received in fact matched what the doctor had prescribed and when we asked the doctor during our examination about that she said simply bring them in and we will check them. Now we have done this for 25 years making sure that the Mexican labs the duties do in fact do the right job. My wife called and was berated by a scheduler by the name of Kaite, part of their one piece of service fits all so you wait in the Q, as 5 or 10 customers ahead of you to talk to anyone. She was terse with my wife told her to do that would be $75 so I got on the phone and she treated me the exact same way. I sent an email to the organization received a phone call today from the office manager of the Georgetown location at 950 University, Georgetown Texas and was told that their policy was 90 days they would look at your glasses because the manufacturers would only replace lenses up to 90 days if they were made wrong or they were unacceptable. I indicated to the individual that we did not purchase our lenses from there so we were not concerned about replacing our lenses from them and there was no warranty required we just simply wanted to make sure that the lenses that we received in fact match the specifications. She said that was their policy and it was hung on the wall so I suspect when you go into an eye doctor and your eyes are dilated and the room youre in is dimly lit your to walk around and check all of their policies that are stuck with taped to the wall or pasted flat on some horizontal surface to make sure that you are in fact knowledgeable of their policies. When I told the manager of the Georgetown office that, She got irritated with me and I said look, its not about the money was about the fact that your doctor had said we could come back and did not say do it in 90 days. Plus the fact that its obvious she changed her story because this unit she learned that the 90 days had nothing whatsoever to do with checking the glasses because we were not claiming any replacement by them then she got defensive and started shifting again. I finally told her that it wasnt about the money it was about the principal and the doctor had told me that and my wife that as we were in the same room and I thought they would honor their position but since they did not I was not going to sit in debated with her, there is things like this called social media and reviews. As soon as I indicated that I will just place a review she hung up on me. I suspect that you will find good reviews for every organization and I suspect you will find bad reviews from every organization. I generally dont write many reviews, I dont have a twitter account, I dont instagram, I dont have a Facebook account that I actively use, We pretty much stayed to ourselves but when this office manager treats me the way that she did I want to tell somebody about it. I have now told somebody about it and I do not recommend this establishment at any of their locations because I had no assistance when trying to reach the corporate office. PS... Should you find any typographical errors it is because I use voice recognition and I simply do not want to waste anymore time making sure that everything that was said had the proper is doted and ts crossed

Grrr....contacts! I found myself in an unusual situation on a recent Sunday night - it was a new-to-me experience. I looked to my roommates for more expert advice than mine on how to fish out a contact from one eye - it was persistently "glued in", not coming out and was indeed a pesky lens. They became uncharacteristically devoid of their usual advice. Go figure - they only speak meow. So - I did the next best thing - contacted Texan Eye Care at 9:00pm. Radha Ram, MD, was the physician on call. She offered to meet me within a short period of time at her office to look at my increasingly uncomfortable eye. WOW! She was so professional and comforting; I immediately discerned if there was any chance I could miss going blind - it was under her care. She looked at the eye, flushed it, and thoroughly examined it. She determined she could not get the lens out either. Because it was no longer in there. She advised I had not done any damage to the eye, other than insulting it a bit with my repeated attempts to remove the contact. How does one spell RELIEF?! She sent me home with a prescription for mending the eye back to normal health. YAY - it is tons better - and I am eternally grateful to Dr. Ram - and Texan Eye for their great judgement in adding her to their competent team - KUDOS!!!

Was recommended here by my PCP. Was told on the phone I would be able to drive myself to/from the appointment no problem, but when my eyes were dilated I could not even read my phone to give fit information to the contact department. The blurriness lasted over four hours full strength and slowly ebbed off for the next 2 or so. After I was able to read again, I saw that my "prescription", which was supposed to be for contacts AND glasses, only the strength of my contact prescription without any of the other information needed to order contacts (i.e. which power was for which eye). If that werent enough, my contact prescription doesnt exist in the power prescribed AND I was bumped too high up and have been forced to use my old glasses due to the headaches caused by my new prescription. In my 20 years of needing glasses, this is BY FAR the worst experience I have had attempting to get a (usable) prescription.

If I could have minus stars, I would! - Worst experience. This was my first trip to the eye dr. I waited for over an hour, then another 30 minutes in the exam room. Then to the contact lens room where they were going to charge me $150 for a class to learn how to put contact lens in my eyes. REALLY! I have plenty of friends who wear contact lens, who will teach me, not to mention you can get videos off the internet for FREE! Since it was my first time to the eye dr and not knowing what to expect when they dialate your eyes, I left to drive back to work. Couldnt see a thing. Apparently they were suppose to give me some disposable glasses but they didnt. I went to another eye dr for a second opinon and found out my prescription lenses were going to be so thin that they would tear and not worth the money. Texan Eye Center is a ripoff!

My first appointment was scheduled for 3:30 pm... I didnt walk out of the Drs office until 5:30 pm. After seeing the Dr. It was recommended that I have a procedure done. And because I like giving second chances, I went on ahead and scheduled my procedure. That went well. However I am now here and in the waiting room for my follow up appointment. My appointment was at 2:15pm and they say itll be 1 hour until the actual doctor sees me because she had a meeting that ran into to her lunch time. Really, thats not my fault or problem! Whats the point of having an appointment if they cant hold up the part. Customer service is definitely not a priority to them. Needless to say I will never recommend or refer anyone to this place. The doctor did try to make it right by not charging me. But that is not the point!
