This place was amazing! The psychiatrists actually knew what they were doing and cared about their patients. The staff and nurses were hilarious and spent time with the patients, getting to know them and letting them know that they were important. The staff enjoyed spending time with the patients and took the time to try and calm them down. I was afraid of the dark when I first went there, and they let me keep my light on, turning it off only after they knew I was asleep. When I would wake up in the middle of the night with a headache and vomiting the staff would bring me my toothbrush and toothpaste, an icepack, and a cup of ice, and the nurse would bring me something for my head. They understood my sensitivity to certain things, both food and other, and did what they could to help. They encouraged me to continue writing my novels and even gave me ideas for them. The day before I left, the staff brought in the materials for ice cream sundaes!! I would like to give a special shout-out to Mrs. Hatira for her support and the amazing gift she gave me upon discharge as well as for teaching me a little Russian, Mrs. Andrea for her amazing support and ability to make everyone smile, Ms. Liby for her constant support and tough-love (and you go form that shelter!!), Dr. Estrada for everything he did to get me back on my feet and recover from the damage done by so many others, and all of the other staff and nurses from the adolescent unit and the cafeteria ladies for their excellent cooking. Most of all I would like to thank, though he is no longer working there, Mr. Harris (Hagrid) for everything. I miss all of you and this was the best place ever. I recommend sending a loved one there if anyone needs the help. Five stars is hardly enough to describe my experience, and I hope there are others whom will agree with me.

Im impressed with the MEDICAL staff as they somewhat know what theyre doing, but the support staff is horrible. I dropped off something for my daughter early in the morning only to find out that at 9pm, she still didnt receive her items. One of the items was her prescription. Most of the support staff seems to hate their jobs and shouldnt be there

I HAD TO PUT MY HUSBAND IN AND HE CAME OUT WORSE THEN WHEN HE WENT IN. HE THEN WENT ON TO TRY AND INJECT HIS PSYCHE MEDS, CALLING FOR YET ANOTHER INTERVENTION. IF YOU LOVE YOUR LOVED ONES WHO SUFFERS..DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE.

Most of the staff was nice, but they dont do much to help. Youre basically paying to sit around and watch TV all day.
