Okay - here is my review of Doctors Hospital - they will give their patients death sentences - all for the mighty dollar and if you piss off their staff doctors. My daughter was admitted to Doctors with a kidney infection; next day they said she had double bacterial pneumonia; kidney infection; and was jaundice. The day after that she was told she had liver disease (which caused the jaundice) and was septic. This was between Thursday to the next Monday when she was released from Doctors as being on the "mend". Of course she was still on oxygen and iv antibiotics. Her "staff physician" was a total idiot.. female with more hair then sense. Never once touched my daughter - stood by the door and asked my daughter why she was jaundice - my jaw dropped.. you have got to be kidding me. When I called her on it she said and Im not kidding, "WHATEVER" and flipped her hair and walked out.. very professional dont you think?? My daughter was released on a Monday, by Wednesday I had to call 911 and she was taken early Thursday am to Baylor in Garland. She couldnt breathe; running temperature etc. and was still fully septic. See a pattern here?? Baylor immediately admitted her, put her on oxygen; antibiotics. The next day she started to really fail; the had to incubate her - it went downhill from there - she was gone on Tuesday, Oct. 20th. Doctors sent me a letter full of platitudes - they looked into the issue -- blah, blah, blah. Ultimately my daughter died because of their lack of care - now to be fair she may have died anyway as she was so sick, but they didnt give her the chance to get better under their watch - they kicked her to the curb. My 43 year old beautiful daughter, mother of 2 died because of their lack of caring. I want everyone that sees this to really think about using their facility and their staff physicians.. I want everyone to know that they will murder their loved ones by lack of care and caring.. I want people to know how bad this hospital and personnel is.. My daughter deserved at least the chance to recover and she didnt get it - SHAME on Doctors and a very large SHAME on the staff physician that said she was released to work in 2-3 day after discharge and she was in a coma a few days later. So, everyone you take your life in your own hands when you use this facility. They probably wont keep this up for too long, but those of you do get to see this - remember - they MURDER people. As far as the 1 star rating they dont even deserve that, but it wouldnt publish this until I clicked on it. MURDERERS -- If any attorney sees this, please find me - I want to sue - not for the money, but to take the Murderers down

When I went to the emergency room, at first the staff and doctors seemed very kind and caring. And they did see me immediately. They decided I needed to see a neurologist, and they didnt have one on staff. Their recommendation was for me to go by ambulance to a small hospital no one had ever heard of in Frisco - around 30 miles from here. And we have a top-tier hospital, which of course has a neurology department, 5 miles away at Baylor. I dont know what their motivation was for recommending that place - whether it was to pad the pockets of their insanely expensive ambulance buddies (> $2,000 for five miles!), or their unknown doctor friends, or what - but it certainly wasnt getting the patient the highest quality, most efficient care. I have a decent insurance policy, that no other healthcare provider has a problem filing claims on. But when I was in the emergency room they told me my insurance wasnt valid, and Ive already called them six more times in the past three months trying to get them to file the claim instead of just sending me bills and statements. Ive heard excuses like their electronic system isnt finding my insurance company, they dont call out to insurance companies, or whatever. Of course you cant get through to the billing department on the phone if every patient has to call at least six times for something that should just be automatic. On the sixth phone call, the representative told me they finally got it sent through to the insurance company. Time will tell. If youre having an emergency in East Dallas, go to Baylor. Doctors Hospital at White Rock cannot be trusted with your health, your time, or your money. Update Dec. 18 2015. They still have not been able to explain my bills, and some of the charges seem bogus. The most recent communication was a certified letter in November saying they were still reviewing. First I was supposed to get a response within 14 days of Oct. 22, and now I was supposed to get a response within 30 days of Nov. 5. Of course neither of those happened. Im pretty sure theyre having trouble with this review because the charges are bogus and they cant find a way to justify them. Well, this week they had a collection company call about what is probably a bogus charge. Im pretty sure it would have been better for my health and future to risk having a heart attack than to go to the Doctors Hospital ER. They dont know what theyre doing, and theyre crooks.

This place is a complete RIP-OFF!!!! I went in for a bad cut on my finger... had to get 9 stitches on my pinky finger. There was no ligament damage, so no surgery was necessary. I was in 15 minutes and out the door. They informed me to return in 3 weeks to remove the stitches.... I return in 3 weeks and they have a nurse in training that they ask if I would mind if she practiced removing the stitches..., " I say OK, she has to learn to do this" She does an awful job tugging and pulling the stitches cause she didnt pay attention to how they went in. The Doctor kindly tells her that she is surprised that I am not screaming in pain! Little did I know, this office billed my insurance $5500 for the stitch-work and then another $3000 for the removal by a nurse in training!!! I am still in shock! $8500 for putting on and removing 9 stitches on my finger! What angers me the most is that the insurance company wouldnt cover $400 of it and now they are trying to collect it. Im sorry, but just cause you went to school for 10 years doesnt give the right to rip people off and take advantage. Its no wonder this country is so screwed up and why insurance companies charge absurd rates and always looking to screw you over.. cause the Doctors and facilities like this are trying to rip off the insurance company. There are good ethical Doctors out there, so please dont take this as me making a general characterization of all doctors and clinics ( I have the upmost respect for what these individuals do to become Doctors)... just this particular one is shamefully unethical! Shame on you Baylor Scott and White! If you were going to charge $3000 for a 5 minute stich removal by a trainee ( Your offices should be more than happy with the fact that they were able to collect $5500 from my insurance, least you can do is remove them as part of that charge and not hit my insurance for another $3000 plus asking me for another $400 personally... that is pure GREED)... that is something you may want to inform your clients!
