Or urgent care needs thats the place. They get 5 star from me. Thank you Baylor Uptown

I have never had a more difficult time in my life dealing with physicians bills. The hospital itself was great. But the physicians bill separately and it has been a 7 month nightmare. The physician was out of network, even though the hospital was in network for my major insurance provider. The physicians billing company refused to settle any amount and demanded full payment from the patient. My insurance company has reached out twice now and tried to settle the balance. Paying over 70% of the full total. The insurance only asked that ~$95 be "waived" through the negotiated rate. The company refused to settle for anything less than the full amount so they have billed repeatedly for the remainder, even though my insurance says that I am not responsible for the amount. When someone has faced dozens of hospitals bills in a year like me due to a severe illness, its very discouraging to be threatened to ruin credit or to refuse to negotiate on the amount due. The total paid will have been 90%. I will never go to this medical center again because dealing with the physicians billing is not worth it.

Reviews here are all over! My experience two different occasions has been wonderful! The nurses are so sweet and so very good at what they do, From IVs to recovery all were very experienced and compassionate. Of course my doctors are wonderful and its only fitting they would make BAylor Uptown one of their surgery facilities. The parking garage didnt bother me one bit.. I was grateful for free valet parking... NICE!! I didnt smell food around nurses station.. In fact I dont think they can eat there, it is not permitted. Billing department has been very nice to me.. I have had surgery and a injection with another this Friday... With so much they work with me on payments and very willing to say, "oh yeah, we will work with you.. 90 days can you do it?". Yes, of course! Thats it easy least, no complaints on their part! I dont know.. I guess working in doctor offices and at Big Baylor I kind of know how things can get super messy.. I think everyone really tries hard to be accommodating.. Oh well, Cant please them all!! I think Baylor Uptown is awesome!!

Hey! I hope every one day is going well. I have never wrote a review about any company before but I was so badly treated at this place that I had to let someone know what they were getting themselves into before they step a foot inside this place. The staff is so rude and so unprofessional. I was in so much pain when I visited Baylor Uptown and they took it so lightly. Questioning me on am I really that hurt and asking me do you want our help. I had a couple friends with me when I came up their. And they were even rude to the people I was with. I have never been treating so poorly in my life. You would have sworn that I did something to them they way they were treating me. I really didnt want to say anything about the staff but it had been on my mind for the past couple days. I hope if you go here you have a much better experience then my friends and I had. It really made no sense why they were treating me in such ill manner. I hope the best for that whole staff but you should not treat any patient in the way you treated me. Have a blessed day!

I went in for a spinal epidural and was given discharge papers that stated I was somehow diagnosed with DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). No such tests were run to come to that conclusion. I am aware there is a possibility for that after my epidural, but the discharge papers I was given were not a warning for it, but an official diagnosis. I called the facility, who told me I misunderstood the papers and it was only stating a warning (are you telling me I cant read?), so I called my physician who administered the injection, who took my records and called Baylor themselves. My nurse and physician agreed with my assessment of the papers. It was only after they called that Baylor admitted they made a mistake on my paperwork, at which point they went back and corrected my medical records and sent my nurse a clean copy. Im still waiting for an apology. This wasnt a small mistake, and the workers need to be more careful about how they do their jobs if they couldnt even get the paperwork correct.

Had major ankle surgery there on June 24, 2014. Dr. Brodsky and his team did the surgery. I was turned down by Drs. in Louisiana, due to them saying they could not do anything. At the time of my surgery I was unable to walk, both ankles had started to turn in, when I was walking on the outside of my feet and wearing braces to support me. It is not April 19, 2015. I am still in boot and having to see Dr. Brodsky once a month. The ankle that had the surgery on it is mostly healed, just a precaution in having to wear boot for so long. My other ankle has gotten better due to know I can distribute my weight better on both my ankle. I threw my braces away. Able to walk, do yard work and have not had any pain during or after the surgery. The staff at the hospital was better that a 5 star hotel. Always wanting to do better for you and very caring. I would rate above a 10. My wife stayed with me while all this was going on and the staff was tremendous in taking care of her as well.

Had total hip replacement on 8/26. Utilized all the pre-op services and classes everything was first class. Having a better understanding of what was expected of me allowed me to go home same day of surgery. The most important take away for me was how they used the "TEAM" approach and everyone supported each other. Small touches that made a difference was ability to special order sandwich for lunch pre-ordered dinner just in case I was still there. Physical therapist worked with me to walk 300 feet 4 hours after the surgery (learned to take small steps). Dr. Mabreys team set me up with physical therapy prior to surgery to help me be in better shape but also to practice movements before the surgery so I was able to make better progress after surgery. Less then two weeks later and I am using just a cane vs walker. Hard for me to think of anything they can improve on!!!
