The absolute most unprofessional, careless place I have ever encountered in my entire life. Absolute incompetence in every possible way. I cannot even begin to describe the extreme level of incompetence and total indifference by their unprofessional and pathetic staff. They should be forcibly closed. The following "care" was provided to an 80 year old referred for a 3-10 day stay from Medical Center of Plano. Medication, walker, oxygen, and breathing treatments not provided as prescribed, and when the indifferent staff was alerted of the problems multiple times, the "nurse" simply shrugged her shoulders and informed us that we were "on our own". That literally happened. Was then given oxygen that would not reach the bathroom, when the 80 year old patient took off the oxygen to use the bathroom without a walker she nearly collapsed. HealthSouth then attempted to bully the patient into signing insurance and payment forms and would not address any concerns of the patient. Finally, family arrived and called a private ambulance to transfer the 80 year old patient back to Medical Center of Plano given the unbelievable and completely unacceptable treatment and incompetent, indifferent staff. When the private ambulance arrived, a third party private contractor who happened to be at HealthSouth at the time confirmed the entire situation and my account of events that took place. Every available avenue will be pursued to hold this organization accountable for its treatment of this patient. Avoid at all costs.

BAD...DONT STAY THEIR I was moved there after back surgery. I went their to recover/rest. I was still weak when I arrived in the afternoon. A PT (physical therapy) person came to my room and demanded me to come to their shabby PT room. It was so dis-organized and not clean. The hospital area that my room was located was mostly empty. The next morning a different PT came to my room and once again demanded that I go to the PT room. I stated that I was in too much pain to participate in physical therapy at that time. She objected and stated that I might have to leave the hospital if I didnt do the physical therapy. I asked for the administrator to come to my room. THEY DIDNT HAVE ONE! I agreed to go to the PT room that afternoon. It was so bad (they were using students) that I decided not to go back. The next morning when I refused the physical therapy all hell started. I was resting in my room when suddenly a guy appeared in my room stating all kinds of nonsense. He stated that their facility was first class. I let him rant for a few minutes. I then told him that I was there to recuperate from my surgery not physical therapy. I told him that I was leaving now at 9 AM. He stalled giving me what he called important paperwork until 1 PM. That gave them another day to bill because I stayed past 12 noon. I have since found out that they were shut down at least once for poor performance.

My husband was there for about 10 days to 2 weeks after a fall that caused a head injury. Unfortunately after he came home later he passed away from a stroke. but that had nothing to do with his stay there. I am a retired RN and cant say enough good things about the place. Everyone was competent, extremely caring and the therapists were wonderful. they went above and beyond in his care. I even got one free meal a day as his wife so that I could eat with him. He was busy everyday with therapy so that he could recover his motor functions. They had the best social worker that I have ever run across. She was truly amazing. She always responded as quickly as she could and her work load was huge. She went way beyond what I was used to. I am just so sorry that these few people had such a bad experience. My husband was there last summer--2016.

My husband was a patient there twice. The staff was compassionate, caring, and capable. He left both stays much better than when he came in. Little problem with the correct diet on the first visit, but that was corrected. From the front desk to the nurses, therapists, techs, case workers, all were helpful and caring. I was very confident while my husband was there that he was well cared for and safe.
