I just spent 3 weeks here at Kindred Hospital Dallas after a long ordeal following open heart surgery. I found this place to be excellent in every way! Everyone was caring and always responsive to every need. I didnt need much because I am very independent, but the care I received was first class! I would like to thank everyone that took care of me during this time of need. Dr. Jamal Lone was my attending physician and even though he was not in my network on insurance, he agreed to take me in. I thanked him for it and he told me that the patient comes first! I wish he was available to be my regular doctor because I would see him in a heartbeat! He has the most wonderful personality and shows much care and concern for his patients. Dr. Motta and Dr. Gomez were equally awesome in care of pulmonary functions. They both possessed personable and quality care. I will continue seeing Dr. Gomez till I fully recover. Dr. Patterson and Dr. Diaz both saw me for cardiology. I cant say one negative thing about the care I received from any of these doctors. My techs and nurses were all wonderful! They were there for me in every way possible. I cant name them all, but the one nurse that I had the most during the 3 week visit was Mandy. A beautiful woman that brought sunshine to my room every time she entered. She always had a smile on her face. Mandy showed much care and understanding for all her patients and I was truly Blessed to have her as my main nurse. All the nurses were excellent! My PT/Brian helped me to walk and start an exercise regimen that I will continue to keep in the days ahead of regaining my strength. My OT team, Bonnie and others set goals for me to follow and I met all of those before leaving the facility. The social workers and case management were helpful in arranging my aftercare with in home healthcare. I hope I did not leave anyone out, but if I did, Im sorry! Everyone was great! If I had to go back to a long term care facility, it would be Kindred Dallas on Greenville Ave. for sure! Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my perfectly beating heart!

If you care about your family member DO NOT allow them into Kindred. They are unresponsive to the family concerns. They promote a team approach but when I wanted to meet with the physician, his exact response was, if she is there when I am then we can talk. Problem was he had another job and came at all different times of the day. I walked in one day and they had placed mitts on her hands to keep her from pulling at her tubes but to her from annoying the nurses, they TAPED the mitts to her arms leaving them bruised and bleeding. I do have pictures. I had to go so far as to contact the medical director because the Head Nurse (highest ranking medical personnel in the hospital) was of no assistance and basically said we should hire someone to stay with her all day. The case worker told me point blank that she could not do certain things because her hands were tied and their case load was so significant should couldnt handle all the patients she was responsible for.

This is the wors place that one would take their loved ones. Very unresponsive. Zombi Doctors with white gowns walking arround without knowing who they are visiting. I used to have my sister under their care and did not know how bad they are before we moved her out of that facility. They would not do a thing with out seeing the insurance approval, even if they know the patient under their care is dying. I would not recommend my enemy to their care. That is how bad they are. Very disconnected, too many "part-time " doctors, covering for this and other invisible "Doctor", and you would wonder if this whole setup really a long term heath care facility or a big insurance scam schem. I hope someone closes their door or hit them with the book.

As a patient here for the first time the staff was wonderful and very professional. Which is the reason i chose to come back the second time. Kindred is one of the best hospitals/rehabs ive ever been to and would always recommend that any patient come here based on the fact that their main goal is to bring a patient back to good health and they always succeed that goal. Despite any bad situations that have happen its never long term and the staff is always prepared to take care of it. Mr Mendez is one of the greatest ceos i know, he is always concerned about patients and always willing to listen to what we as patients have to say. Thanks for all you have done!!!!

I have had a very pleasant experience. From the very beginning David N. & James Mendez have been excellent in guiding us, informing us and making us feel at home away from home. For the most part the staff is pretty good. My dad loves it out here. I would recommend this facility for short and long term care. I am a social worker and I am familiar with the way hospital protocol is suppose to run and I am pleased. -The Thomas Family

They took great care of my aunt. Gave her the best treatment they had and also checked on her more than often. They also went above and beyond to make sure our family stayed informed about everything going on as well as making sure we felt like we were their family. I appreciate them for everything and my family appreciates them as well. Best hospital by far!!!

Very poor service from this place. My mother stayed in this place for a few weeks, caught bronchitis which they failed to treat properly. So that turned into pneumonia which made her more sick than when she was admitted. The food was terrible, not getting what was ordered, food cold, never on time either. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Im going to start out with the truth. Although my opinion is bias, every day I am given the opportunity to work with some of the nicest most intelligent professionals. My daily commute time averages at around an hour and a half. As inconvenient as that is for me and my poor car, I wouldnt trade it for the world.
