I rarely write reviews, however I want to save hopefully a few people from experiencing what I did at this hospital. I went to the hospital, ER with a lot of kidney pain. Have had kidney stones in the past and it didnt entirely feel that way, nonetheless it was extremely painful. There were a few good people there such as Brittany in the ER. And my morning nurse right before I was released. I left after being admitted with the same amount of pain and a lot of lies which really bothers me when you place your life into their care. My doctor came to see me twice while I was sleeping and I awoke to him saying goodbye. I had to fight to have the antibiotic they told me I would receive 24 hours after the first one in the ER. They discontinued that and decided I didnt need that. I went through Septic Shock three years ago and a zero rating would be too high. I have never experienced the lack of concern for human life and incompetencies on the med/surg floor to insert an IV line. They allowed me to be so saturated with fluids so much so, that I started to retain water around my ankles and on my feet. We questioned this and were nearly chastised for asking a question about my healthcare. They continued to give bag after bag until I stopped this nonsense. Initially I can understand the reason for fluids, but this was a dangerous thing for me as my blood pressure typically runs about 115-120. It went to 150. I did not feel safe at this hospital even after bringing this to the nursing supervisor. She carelessly said "sorry". Please be safe with you and your family, choose a hospital where they partner with you for your care and have your best interest, not simply elevating their ego. I am sorry to have to share this. There are many good hospitals in the DFW area, but this is not one of them.

I would like to share my experiences at Medical City Frisco. I have never personally been a patient, but I have been with family members when they had surgery and with a friend when he visited the emergency room. I was so impressed with the care that my aunt received from the doctors and nurses. They were nice, considerate, and took time to explain things to my family. The facility is extremely clean and the food was some of the best hospital food I have tasted. When I took my friend to the emergency room, the doctor, nurses, and paramedic were very comforting and attentive to his needs. We were in and out quickly and they called to check on him a few days later. It is my understanding that they are still transitioning from the purchase from Forest Park so I am sure that great things are yet to come. I highly recommend this hospital because they went above and beyond to provide amazing care to my aunt and friend. Kudos to HCA for purchasing this facility because we need this type of healthcare facility in Frisco.

First, I want to say our family is normally VERY healthy...but weve had more than our share of recent need to utilize a hospital in the last year. Three of us in my family have been patients at both Forest Park and, now, Medical City. We have received outstanding service, and found the facility to be first rate. Every staff member has been outstanding, caring, and professional. They also seem to be very efficient, and the doctors and nurses seem to like working there. In addition to our cumulative 4 surgeries, we had one emergency room visit, and they were very responsive. Their post-procedure follow-up has been great; making sure each of us has done well upon release. Even the food (both as a patient and in the Cafe has been good). Parking is also pretty convenient. They cross every "t" and dot every "i". I highly recommend Medical City Frisco.

We had the worst experience at this hospital. The room we were in had so many issues from overflowing faucet to a towel dispenser that does not work. We asked for house keeping to clean a spill during the early morning, and we got someone after 6 pm. The staff must be overworked because you have to constantly remind them to check up on patient on simple things. Very little information exchanged between staffs during shift change. We had to inform new staff what has been or hasnt been done. It is always an unknown whether the doctor will come in or not. One staff member tells you the doc will not be coming in that day and another one will tell you something different. We were very confused at all times. If you have a choice avoid this hospital. I gave some feedback and asked to speak to a supervisor but no one showed up.

If you wanted to be treated like a junky because youre in pain, this is the place to go. I was sent home after my first visit like I was some kind of pill seeker. The next day I went back and insisted on xrays just to find out I had a spinal fracture. Since then I have still had problems that were not solved and when I return I am greeted with the same "you were in an accident its going to hurt" doctor. The entire staff is rude even when you call on the phone. Go ahead and give it a try. Doesnt matter which department. Id recommend driving to Plano or McKinney if you need help from a medical city branch. This hospital sparkles on the outside because its new but it filled with negligent doctors and nurses. That just want to push you out the door as quickly as possible.

My experience at this hospital was Top Notch! I was taken to the ER, and unfortunately I have been a quite a few in my lifetime, and the staff and Doctor were very quick, efficient, informative and attentive to my needs. From the moment I stepped through the doors to the moment I left, I felt like I was part of the family and was being treated like it. The staff was everything I would hope for in a hospital staff and is by far the best I have ever dealt with. The only hospital that I have received the same level of genuine care was the Shriners Hospital in Galveston. I will recommend Medical City Frisco to all my friends and family as I know they will be cared for with the utmost respect. Thank you Medical City Frisco for all that you do! Matt

I never post bad reviews. If anything, I make it a point to post good reviews because those are so few and far between. But Im very unhappy. Not once have they asked me what my pain level is or shown any compassion for the fact that Im having a miscarriage. The nurse has terrible bedside manor and doesnt know how to insert an IV to save her life. She caused my entire arm from the elbow down to go numb. As for the dr., she offered Tylenol for treatment of my pain. Im not having menstrual cramps. I feel like Im being stabbed in the abdomin. I get it, they have these new laws, but this ridiculous. I cant wait to get out of here.
