Two days ago I was (surprisingly) given a next day appointment for my elderly mother. When I called I inquired when her next appointment was scheduled for and explained she was having problems. The receptionist checked and said there was nothing scheduled and that she had one available for the following day. I said "perfect" and she gave me the time for it. Imagine the dismay when upon arrival she was not scheduled, until the following month!!!! They made good and "fit" her in, but not after jumping through hoops, having to obtain a referral from her PCP. I realize they/insurance have rules, but this could have been avoided if more information had been provided from the beginning. It was obvious to me that the initial receptionist booked the appointment on the wrong month, but no one owned up. I must give them credit for still seeing mother, however, was not pleased how it all played out.

I wrote down the appointment as 1 oclock instead of 10 oclock and showed up three hours late. They fit me in - after a three minute wait (I was impressed), did a thorough exam and had me buying my glasses within an hour of my arrival. Very friendly and efficient staff. Very happy with my glasses - my first pair which I have now worn for about a month. My wife is switching to Thurmond.

Staff is very friendly at both Harlingen and Weslaco locations. My surgery done by Dr. Gillman was a success. No comparison to surgery done 4 years before at another location. I definitely recommend their services.
