Hello FB friends & relatives. Ive got some great news 2 announce.... After months of prayers The Lord provided me w/His answer; a very well known, respectable, high-qualified ophth/laser Dr. Raulito Pena 4 a consult. I had my 1st Cataract Removal Outpatient Surgery (Rt Eye) this a.m. w/GREAT RESULTS. No problems or complications whatsoever. I can now C well & bright, instead of that dingy Amber color!! Thank U, Dr. Peña. Ur work is truly witness of The Lords Blessings upon U of wisdom, knowledge, patience, steadiness of hands, & thats besides excellent character. I am certainly pleased w/a JOB WELL DONE DR. PEÑA. A Thank U to ALL his Friendly Staff of both Harlingen/McAllen offices via visits & telephone calls. The Hgn Office staff performed duties far & Byond their call of duty including their unselfishness, promptness, effort & patience regarding my overall "horrible" experience w/my insurance. Lets give credit where credit is due. Thank U Lord 4 Ur most precious & appreciative advice. May The Lord continue Blessing Dr. Raul Peña & his Family.

Came in for the free "exam" which was done by a optical tech and not a licensed opthamologist. I was told nothing about how well lasik suited me, and was told to wait in the waiting room for 45mins. I then was called in to a room where they immediately started talking about prices, and how I might be able to pay for the procedure. It wasnt until I asked about seeing a opthamologist and if my eyes were even capable of taking the procedure that they said I was a "98%" ready candidate. I asked what that meant, and they basically feed me bullsh*t that they clearly knew nothing about. DO NOT GO HERE, it is a profit motivated center with no medical grounding. Go to somewhere with a board certified opthamologist, much better service and quality medical counselling.

My husband went there in December, 2013. Arrived @ 2:30 for a 3pm appointment. Eyes examined by a girl, not a Dr. Dilated his eyes Wait our front. .It is now 5PM and still waiting. Neither of us drive at night, we asked when we would be seeing the Dr. We do not know, several in front of you. We had to leave. Came back the next Tuesday, another 2 hour wait. When the Dr came in, told us what we already knew. Cataracts Described the 3 lens options as a "Yugo" "Buick" or "Cadillac" like we are too stupid to know the differences or understand. Asked a few questions and he indicated he did not get into pricing that was another girls job. So, now we are taken to a couch in the back hall. After waiting 30 minutes we left.

My husband had IntraLASIK in May with Dr. Peña and we are truly thankful for this procedure, it has been life changing! He was seeing 20/20 the very next day and we were finally able to toss out the contacts, cases, solutions, etc too. Fast forward two months later and he wishes he had done it sooner. The summer has been so much more enjoyable for him and our family. Amazing experience all around!!

Just had Lasik surgery on 6/14/2013 and Dr. Pena and his staff were great. They educated me on exactly what was going to happen and what I should expect in the days following the surgery. By the next day my sight was so greatly improved I was truly amazed. Highly recommended and Dr. Pena is awesome! Thanks, Jaime Huerta

I wore glasses and contacts since I was 5 years old. I finally decided to go through with the Lasik surgery 4 years ago. I love it. Waking up and being able to see instead of looking for my contacts, i love it. Thanks Dr. Pena! I highly recommend him!

The doctor is great and very knowledgeable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The only thing that made it a four star instead of a five star is that I had to wait a very long time to see the doctor.
