This veterinarian, Dr. Smith, is negligent and cruel. One star given because the receptionist apologized to me for his behavior. We had been going to this vet for around three years. Weve spent thousands of dollars at his clinic to care for our diabetic cat. I dropped and broke her bottle of insulin and popped in to buy another bottle. A few weeks prior, she had gotten sick on a Friday and she was taken to another vet that was open on the weekend so I could adjust her insulin without having to wait until Monday. I brought a copy of her blood work for her records and told him that her dosage had changed. He asked me where I took her and then handed me her paperwork and told me to "go get her insulin from this veterinarian." He refused to sell me one more bottle and the vet with whom I "cheated" on Dr. Smith did not carry prozinc so I ended up with a very sick cat while I scrambled at 4:30 pm to find either a vet clinic that had her insulin in stock or a pharmacy to fill the written prescription given to be by the other veterinarian. Im not sure if he had a bad day and took it out on me, if he was upset he didnt sell me a $200 blood test or if his ego was bruised but if any of these things prevent him from caring for a long-time patient, he cant be trusted with the care of your animals. He knew my cat would get very sick without her medicine and he didnt care.

I brought my 18 year old cat to be euthanized. She was going blind and losing her hearing. Becoming very frail and having trouble keeping her food down. She had been with our family for 17 years. She was our family. We finally decided to put her down. My daughter and I walked through the doors in tears and left in complete horror. The front desk person(Susan) was a cold, insensitive b*tch.(She should be in the back cleaning crap out of cages instead of up front crapping on broken hearted customers) With a nasty attitude started asking if my cat was sick. I tried to explain it was age related. She was making us feel like abusive common criminals. I went to find the Dr. Wagner and ask what the hell was going on and what did they expect from us. My cat was 18 years old and if they thought I was going to give them more money to keep her alive for another year or less, it wasnt going to happen. The Doctor told me that sometimes people bring in healthy cats to be put down. I dont even know what to think about that. They made me feel like I murdered my cat. Even though I know what I did was the best thing for her. On a up note, there was a young brunette who walk my Calie to the car, who seemed to be very nice.

you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting a cat killer with a vet license. you sound as arrogant & uneducated like she does. birds of a feather flock together. people beware of this vet that supports cat killers & thinks ALL feral cats should be killed. instead of being a part of the problem why dont you educate yourself. vets should help ALL animals, not decide to play God one day to pick & choose what lives and what doesnt. you too are a disgrace to decent vets of the world.

Our family has used Spring Woods Veterinary Clinic for over 20+ years for our animals. We have appreciated the care and respect our animals have always received, even when difficult decisions must made. Dr. Smith and his staff (through the years) have been professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Our family and the clinic personnel have developed a trusting relationship, built on time and personal interactions, in the care of our pets.

Dr Paul Smith shows an appalling attitude to cats, especially feral cats which are a man made problem. He thinks they should be killed instead of advocating a Trap Neuter Return policy or educating people to neuter their pets. Also gave a job to the so called vet who killed a cat with bow & arrow & bragged about it, posing with the cats body and a big grin. Animal lovers? Vets to be trusted? I think not!

I thought they did me a favor by getting my dog in quick. I have an old dog that needed a tooth removed. The bill went from an estimate of 360.00 to 450.00 when I picked up the dog. They should have called me first. She was an 11 year old rescue that I probably would have just put to sleep instead of paying that much money. She already has had a good life. That 25% markup was not appreciated..

Dr. Paul Smith was reprimanded by the Texas licensing board. He also thinks that "there is nothing good about feral cats" per sworn testimony. This man is clearly not a friend of animals. Avoid him. This man also claims to have employed the vet Kristen Lindsey, who admits to killing a cat by shooting it with a bow and arrow. Stay far away from both of them.

Apparently Im not the only one whos had a problem with the front desk worker, and seeing as this has been a problem for YEARS, this business is coherently oblivious to the importance of its costumers and their experience at a vet, which might explain why I hardly ever see much business being conducted here in the first place.

Dr. Smith was sanctioned by the tx bd of vet med examiners on June 17, 2004 for failure to properly diagnose diabetes in a 9 yr old lab. The dog had to be euthanized. He testified on Kristen Lindseys behalf (the Vet who shot an arrow thru a cats head). Why would anyone want to use this Vet?

This vet testified for the vet that used her bow and an arrow to kill Tiger the cat. He was also sanctioned by the board for failing to diagnose diabetes in a dog even after he ran blood work that showed elevated glucous levels. Really folks, you can do better than this guy.

great clinic! the vet and staff in the back are great people and very charismatic. Unfortunately the front desk lady is very rude and insensitive. Its unfortunate because everyone who goes to the clinic gets a very bad first impression because of her attitude.

Beware, this vet supports Kristen Lindsey. If you dont know who Kristen Lindsey is then Google it but warning it is gruesome and heartbreaking. I would never trust someone with my pets that employs or supports Kristen Lindsey.

It is hard to find a good old fashioned sensible vet these days. They are all just marketing crap and trying charge for stuff that doesn’t need to be done. Not here. Good people doing a good job.
