HATE this place.. Twice I have been so disappointed by this place and I will not step foot in it anymore. Years ago, I went to see Dr. Loo because I was worried about my hormones and she was absolutely wonderful (really, she needs to open her own practice and stay away from this place). I didnt have any hormonal issues but she did find a problem that needed attention so I went away. Years later, I was worried about my hormones again, I called, the staff game me an appointment and said since I had been there before I didnt need to come in as a new patient. They gave me the 4pm slot. I came in, then they said when I called I was supposed to tell them I was a new patient since it was so many years back and they didnt have time to have me fill it out since it was so late in the afternoon. Right.. so I was supposed to know and tell them? Great they said she couldnt see me and I had to come back. I didnt like my experience but I still had some pressing issues so I decided to go back. Requested Dr Loo but they said I had to wait a month since I was a new patient. They said Dr. Al-Karadsheh was available earlier so I decided to try him. They said to arrive 30 mins early (so I arrived at 2). I signed in and of course waited for 20 mins and the receptionist didnt think to call me to start filling out the new patient paperwork. I went up to her but she was on the phone for so long so another lady passed by and helped me start the paperwork I needed to do. Then I was called in at 3 pm, waited for the Dr for another hour. The girl told me he wouldnt be long about 10 more mins which I waited and still nowhere in sight. I told the another girl I was leaving because I had been at that place more than 2 hours and still had not seen a doctor. This place is totally unprofessional, the longest Ive waited at a doctor clinic was 2 hours total from in to out. I was waiting two hours to only see a doctor and not to mention how completely careless their staff is. Lastly, I have insurance and they make money from me, so I, nor anyone else should have to be treated like were doctor hungry when they cant even treat their "new patients" well. This place is incredible and I decided I rather drive further up to see a professional environment before setting foot in this place again.

Letter to my PCP:...........Please give me another Endocrine doctor. Dr. Michaels staff is very incompetent. After seeing her, she prescribed me new medicine, and I was to get a patient portal login like this one. After 2 days, I had to call the office because Walgreens had nothing for me, and no patient portal. They got the portal right away, and had to call the next day again to get them to call in my prescriptions. Then Walgreens told me one of the meds, had to have my insurance approval, that the Dr. had not done. So I called them and they said they would work on it. Next week I called again, was told they are still working on it. A MONTH later same story. I was running out of the " Free Sample " they gave me and was told to come by to get more. I went last week, and her assistant was not in the office and I could wait, so after 2 hours I had to get back to work. I am taking way too much Novolog ( about 50-60 units morning and night ), and it is still around 200 when I take a reading. My insurance said they have not received anything, and her nurse is saying they are working on getting my paper work together. Now we are talking about over 2 months for this to happen. I am beside myself, and feet are starting to hurt at times. I had to stop doing my walks at night because I can not stand the pain I get while doing them. I do not think she even knows what is going on in her office. When I call all I can talk to is her nurse. I do not think I should have to pay $ 60 to go see her and beg to get the meds she wants me to take.

I was there just once, but so far disappointed. At first the nurse is pretty good on phone it set me in a early appointment. I am grateful for that. The PA is nice too. But Doctor seems so so so busy that they just dont have time to talk to patient (and sounds like dont care about it also). What pissed me most is the testing. I did blood work the same day. After a week havent heard any results back. So I called and leave a message saying please give me a call at least let me know everything is fine. No body responded, just an email from the lab showing me how to find the lab results. It took couple days for me to see the lab results. (when I was in other clinic, lab results came out like 1-2 days and nurses called me immediately after they received the results) But I am just a patient, I am not professional enough to read and understand my own lab reports! Is that a doctor or nurses job to interpret the results into human language and let patients know if they are OK or not? Are they need any further testing, or medication or anything? They just dont bother to call me back....

Dr. Koshy himself is good but the staff is HORRIBLE. Every time I need a refill for my prescription I have to basically harrass the office to call my pharmacist and/or insurance company. When I call 99% of the time Im put on hold for over 10 mins then transferred to the voicemail of the wrong doctor so I have to call back. This is a recurring issue. When I do speak to a human being they always say theyll call my insurance/pharmacist and they never do so I have to call back. When I call back they tell me theyll call me back when they call my insurance/pharmacist and again never do. I have now called their office 5 different days (most times more than once a day) and of course no one has called my pharmacist/insurance. My pharmacy is also contacting them with no response. Ridiculous. If you need medication do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I came here because it was easy to get an appointment and now I know why. Ill be switching doctors once I can get an appointment elsewhere.

We have been going there for years. There are not a lot of options for endocrinologists near us, so we have put up with the stinky building, the slow responses from the office staff, and the "who cares" attitude of Dr. Michaelis. Until now. My daughter, who is away at college, called for Dr. Michaelis because her insulin pump malfunctioned, her blood sugar was 400, and she needed advice on how to survive the night using syringes. It has now been 24 hours since that phone call and Dr. Michaelis has STILL not called her back. I am so upset. Thats what we get for letting the small things pass. We should have changed doctors long ago. If you want a doctor who will return your call, or care whether you live or die, find a different practice. My daughter found someone else to help her and she is doing fine now.
