After accidentally cutting my little finger pretty badly one evening, and being unable to stop the bleeding, I went searching for a urgent care facility in Lakeway, TX. The first one I visited did not accept Medicare and told me the charges would be at least $500 with stitches. So I went across the street to FastMed and learned they did accept Medicare. The FastMed staff took excellent care of me and I couldnt be happier. The person who took care of the upfront admin stuff (Sonia) and the nurse who gave me a Tetanus shot (Maudie) and the PA who cleaned the wound and stitched it up (Rhiannon) were all very professional, careful, gentle, pleasant and calming. It has now been a week and my finger has healed nicely. I am totally pleased with this FastMed facility and the staff and am happy to know exactly where to go the next time I need any medical care.

The service was fine, however the BILLING was a SCAM. I was told by the receptionist that they accepted my HMO insurance and I would only need to pay $40 co-pay. Flash forward a week and a half, and I get a bill for $350! I was shuffled around from office to office and disputed that amount because I was TOLD it would only be $40. My plan was covered. I told them I didnt feel responsible for the full amount, and they were suppose to get back with me. They did all right. They auto drafted $160.00 from my credit card WITHOUT my knowledge or agreeing to it!! I spent $200.00 when I thought I was paying $40. How does that even happen? DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT. Especially if you have ACA based insurance.

I cut my thumb on a Saturday morning and knew I needed stitches. I did not want to go to an ER because our deductible is so high. Having FastMed Urgent Care so close and available 7 days a week was a great alternative. They were very professional in dealing with a very difficult patient. All the staff made me feel at ease, from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor. I was able to see a doctor quickly and I was out within an hour. I HIGHLY recommend FastMed Urgent Care. Hopefully another need will not arise, but if it does, I know where to go!

I highly recommend FastMed Urgent Care Lakeway. I wasnt able to be seen by my regular doctor on the day and was really in a lot of discomfort so I called a few places around. The person who took my call was really helpful and efficient and I was able to be seen within the hour. The facilities are good, I was able to get an Xray done straight away and the doctor took time to discuss his diagnosis and a treatment plan with me. I just wish I had called these guys sooner.

I will definitely be going back to FastMed. I went in after regular business hours with an abcessed tooth. I was in and out within thirty minutes. The receptionist and medical assistants were very nice and professional. The doctor was very curtious and friendly. He made sure I was taken care of until I could get in to see a dentist. Great service!

I was seen very quickly. My problem was addressed professionally. I appreciated the help of the front desk as well. When I had a referral that needed to be changed it was done quickly. I will definitely go there for all of my urgent needs in the future!

The nurse practioner was inexperienced and left us waiting to go call and text other people for advice on a basic sports physical. We were the only ones there and sat for over an hour while she second guessed every little thing. Terrible. Beware.
