Five years ago, I retired after twenty years of Civil Service. At that point in time I prepared myself for the future to find a cardiologist that would take care of me, being that my parents had been affected by heart problems. A good co-worker friend highly recommended Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio where her husband had been treated. Glad I took her advise. I established my provider, Dr. John J.H. Liu, M.D. Dr. Liu, in my view, is an excellent Cardiologist when it comes to cardiovascular diseases. He is very knowledgeable in this field, takes the time to evaluate test results with his patients and recommends corrective action. He has an excellent staff under his supervision. In January of 2015, after reporting chest pains, Dr. Liu took me under his arm and examined my symptoms. Due to the test results, I went in for a stint operation and during the procedure Dr. Liu discovered I would require a double bypass, for which Dr. Liu operated on along with his Surgeon staff. The operation went exceptionally well. He visited me each day at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital to assure all was going well and was under my care each day until I was discharged. He visits his patients at the hospital each day to assure they are being treated well. Because of Dr. Liu, I am here today and I strongly recommend anyone with any type of chest symptoms to see him immediately. He also scheduled me for therapy and his staff took care of me extremely well. I thank him for that. I still am and will be seeing Dr. Liu for as long as Im alive.

Recently my husband had to go in for an instant look by Ms. Vegas because a few days before prior to a cataract surgery all doctors in attendance for the operation wondered if my cardiologist knew about an "irregular heartbeat" for him. They said it would not cause them to cancel the eye cataract operation but I should get with our cardiologist as soon as we could. I called up for my husband and they gave us an appointment next day when Ms. Vegas checked on him. Prior to her coming in, she had reviewed Dr. Alvarezs previous EKG and when she came in and we explained what happened, she knew immediately that the chart the doctors had given us showed nothing in particular that bothered her. She reviewed the two EKGs paperwork, showing us where there were minor changes that could happen for a variety of reasons and they were not concerned about it. But, to be safe they set up an appointment for him to be fitted with a 24 hour "halter" early in August. That would tell them more at that time if they were wrong in their assessment. We were pleasantly happy with her easy explanation and the fact she had done additional research ahead of time. Since I consider Dr. Alvarez to basically have saved my own life a few years ago, I take great trust in his choice to let Ms. Vegas take and act in his absence, but would take and keep him apprised of the situation and follow-up action if needed.

Dr. Canales, MD saved my life and made it a healthy, happy one.. I was in bad shape when I went to his office and asked for help..He immediately took down all the intake particulars and asked me just what was happening and then he said, "Yes, I will help you" and told me what he had found with all my prior incidences and the tests he had been ordered for me so that he was up and running and ready to put into action the plan he saw as my best opportunity to correct the problem that had been continuing before I met him.. He immediately placed me into his clinic where further pre-operative scans and studies had to be done to make certain what problems I did have.and I was completed with his studies and in the plan for my treatment he then sent me to his thoracic surgeon and the rest is history.. I am home and healthier than I have been for years.. due to Doctors quick intervention.. Thanks to all the staff, office and all those who participated in my treatment and follow up visits.. God Bless you all.. thank you - Gloria

Dr. Robert Saad, M.D. has been my preeminent Cardiologist, who has kept me on the best of condition from the initial visit on to several years visits. The office staff prepares me for the doctors presence with not only with a friendly bur professional atmosphere. Dr. Saad kindly listens to my health issues, and responds in a clear and positive manner, which lifts my mood with thoughts for the future. This said, I wish to submit this writing not only to the doctors clinic, but the public in need of a great Cardiologist, due to my personal experience at Dr. Saads clinic. He is modest to a fault when it comes to the recognition of his many professional assets, personable and giving his wise counsel. Undoubtedly, Dr. Robert Saad, my Cardiologist succeeds in contributing to the betterment of humankind. I wish, therefore, to recommend him to future cardio patients. Sincerely, William Samelson, Ph.D. Emeritus Professor.

Frankly my experience with Dr Jose Triana and the clinic has been professional and outstanding. Seldom is the waiting between arrival registration and the short escorted jaunt to Dr Jose Triana examining room. I appreciate the advance Internet prescheduled appointment remainders. Lobby waiting is rarely an issue especially arriving with amply time. Fact is that I probably squander much more time driving to my appointment than lobby atrophy. Generally the short jaunt to my doctor’s examine room including clinical examination secession is within the scope of my tolerance. I stay committed to the clinic and my doctor because I appreciate both the exceptional cautionary alerts coupled with the welcome attaboys for successful weight loss. I am also thankful for my physician’s enduring forbearance since shedding weight hasn’t been one of my notable attributes.

My comments here are with regard to my visit on 01/27/15. Within moments of arriving I was aggressively accosted verbally for not complying with printed instructions to the satisfaction of the clerk at the front desk. When I retreated from her attack, she was still not satisfied and resumed her onslaught with further admonitions as to how I was impeding her work. My reminder to her that we were all patients with heart conditions seemed to fall on deaf ears as she was insistent on saying the last words. I have worked in the health care industry for 27 years with clinical contact with patients in their best and worst conditions, and I can honestly say I have never before seen such disrespect from any professional health care provider. This woman cannot be classified as a professional and has no place in our businesses.
