Stay away from this place. That is, unless you want to be paying exorbitant prices for the worst eye doc ever, plus being restricted to ordering contacts from them. Last I had my vision checked was inside a Walmart by a friendly and competent eye doctor. This was for less than 100, without insurance. My charge for this gold digging doc was 300, after being recommended their special testing, which at this point I am strongly questioning. The worse part? I tried purchasing glasses and contacts using the script they gave. To my utmost shock and dismay, the doctor did not approve. So now, unless I return to line their pockets with overpriced glasses/contacts, I have to go back. Instead I am making an appointment at Walmart, with another ED who doesnt exploit their patients. I recommend you do the same.

I used McKinney Family Eyecare for the first time this past month and I will be using them again! Dr. Cindy was very thorough and explained some issues with my eyes that have apparently developing for awhile ... and none of my past doctors shared that information with me! In addition to being very knowledgeable and patient, she and her staff are friendly, courteous and well trained. My waiting time was less than 10 minutes on each visit so it seems as though they keep a pretty punctual schedule. I appreciate that as I was taking time out of my work day and couldnt afford to be gone long! All the way around, I give them 5 stars and have already recommended them to others!

We are fans of McKinney Family Eyecare. My husband and I have had eye exams done by a few other doctors over the years for insurance reasons. But, we always visit McKinney Family Eyecare when possible...and, always will. The staff is helpful, friendly and just overall wonderful. Cindy and Matt are excellent as well. They are friendly, patient, informative, knowledgable, helpful...everything you want in optometrists. The frames and lens quality is excellent. If you are looking for a good place for eyecare, I would definitely recommend that you visit Cindy and/or Matt at McKinney Family Eyecare...you will be glad you did.

Absolutely fabulous experience - Dr. Matt is so nice and explained everything in such detail that I left with no questions at all. I have complete confidence in him and McKinney Family Eyecare and plan to use him for all my eyecare exams from now on. Beautiful, spacious, clean offices and quiet lobby. Someone at the front to help you choose frames, which is a huge plus. I would highly recommend McKinney Family Eyecare to anyone looking for really excellent eyecare and a comfortable experience!

Our whole family has been seeing Dr. Matt since we moved to McKinney in 2002. We love Dr. Matt and his staff is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable about eye care and what works best in the way of glasses/contacts for each person, young and old! We come almost weekly for adjustments for my 8 year old son whose glasses get "out of whack" from playing and the staff is always very friendly and willing to make another adjustment! I highly recommend McKinney Family Eyecare!

Dr. Matt has been the first and only eye doctor Ive seen and I wouldnt go to anyone else. Ive been going to McKinney Family Eyecare since I was 8 (Im 25 now) and I think that right there goes to show how awesome he is. Not only is he good at what he specializes in, but he is extremely personable and always asks whats going on in my life. The current staff is by far the best Ive seen and I would highly recommend McKinney Family Eyecare!!

I got a piece of wood stuck in my eye tonight. I called their office because it was first in a Google search. I got very lucky. It was just before they were closing but the doctor said they would stay open until I got there. Very friendly staff and a great doctor. He had me fixed up in no time. Even did a routine check of both eyes while I was in there. Very reasonable cost even though they were out of network for me.

Ive been going to McKinney Family Eyecare for about 12 years. Ive always been impressed by their friendliness on top of the great service they provide. When I had a co-worker with an eye problem and his own eye doctor couldnt get him in, I sent him to McKinney Family Eyecare where they made space in their schedule for his urgent need and took great care of him. He was very impressed by their helpfulness and care.

First off, I had to wait three weeks for an appointment. At the time of making my appointment I gave them all my insurance information. They waited until the week of the appointment to start calling me and asking for the information I had already given them again. Only to tell me an hour before my appointment that Im not even in network with them. They were completely unprofessional.

Scheduling appointment was easy, the staff was polite and very courteous. Dr. Matt is very friendly and easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He explained everything in detail as to what was causing my sight issues. My wife visited Dr Matt and finally got her wish of getting contacts where her previous doctor told her it wasnt possible. She has nothing but praises about Dr Matt.

I saw both Dr.s and have no preference one over the other. Each Dr. was nice and patient with me. They took their time and explained everything they were doing. I had two follow-up visits and the service was the same each time - GREAT! The staff was nice and the help I received getting my lenses and frames selected was top-notch.

Dr. Cindy is very thorough and explained every aspect of my exam. I will be returning year after year to her. Could not have been more pleased with my experience.

Dr. Matt and the staff are all so friendly, and the environment is very homey and welcoming. He explained everything to me and made sure I understood, and even drew a diagram of my eye for me to help illustrate. They have the latest technology, and are conveniently located in my town. I highly recommend McKinney Family Eyecare.
