I went in yesterday and I had a very pleasant experience. The front desk girl was friendly, smiling and competent. The nurse was also helpful, fast and caring. I only had to wait a few minutes to get in and was seen almost immediately by the PA. The PA was professional, intelligent and very competent. I love the close location of the office seeing that I live in wylie and it seems like they have a lot of incredible services. The office was clean and well lit. Overall 5 stars- I do have one complaint They have one girl to check in and check out, do insurance, collect and schedule appt. She was very fast, sweet and courteous but there was a line waiting to get in and also check out while two staff sat at a desk , they were working- I believe it was a nurse and another staff member. I think they should cross train at the very minimum to help the front desk girl check in or out when she occasionally gets swamped. Just so that they can keep their front desk girl happy and also the patients. Its such a small office they need to operate as a flexible cooperative team that helps eachother instead of staying within rigid roles. I have only been to this office once but I figure it will continue to grow in popularity once people see how fabulous it is - but they really do need to make things more logistically smooth - it will be tough however because of how the front desk is built - its tiny and is only built for one.

Very unprofessional, just want to rip off your money. i went there on Apr, 10 to remove a skin mark similar to a wart on my face. First of all, my app. was supposed to be with a doc. but a physician ass. was the one to meet and not dr. Mcguiness. the physician ass. recommended freezing it. I wanted to do it at once but she said its better to start easy and repeat later. She NEVER mentioned about charges not even her staff. She went ahead quickly picked up the freezing machine next to her and used it for me. on my way out to check out nurse charged me for $115 for the freezing treatment + $226 for other skincare items that I found online for nearly half the price. I missed my 3 weeks followup. I forgot and they didnt bother to remind me as most reputable clinics do. I called a reschedualed and I went back today. They wanted to charge me for freezing the wart AGAIN. What I paid should be for treating the entire thing completely. I argued with the front desk but they refused to complete the treatment without having me pay AGAIN. I wanted to do it all at once from the beginning but that was the physician assist. suggestion of course to rip me off. Now i ended up that my wart is still there and I have to pay again to someone else to remove it for me. Im disputing this charge from my credit card and sure will write my neg review everywhere on the net.

I have been a patient since about 2010 or so. I came to McGuiness Dermatology after I left the Dermatologist I was with for reasons I will not go into here. But from day 1 I was won over by the staff in Plano! "Never got the pleasure of meeting Dr. McGuiness" but was seeing other Dr.s in his practice who were so awesome! Due to Plano so far from me it would be hard for me to find the time to do my check up (though I should have anyway) with all the skin cancer spots I have had! So when The Murphy location opened 5 mins away from me I was so excited!! I couldnt get in fast enough!! I even finally got to meet Dr. McGuiness for the 1st time in 6 years!!!! He is so amazing, funny and so kind!! Also his nurse Leslie was so sweet and Kind along with the office staff!!! (Which is very important to me) The staff in my eyes is a big part in a doctors office!! I recommend Dr. McGuiness in any location you are at! You will never be disappointed what so ever with them! This is the best Dermatology ever!! Im a lifer here!!! Thank you Dr. McGuiness and staff for everything!!! Also thank you so much for opening the Murphy location!!!!

I went at the request of my wife who had previous issues with pre-cancerous places on her face, she was concerned about a few I had so I went in. Im a guy so, without her persistence, I probably would never have gone in but - from what I learned today, I learned I had a few places that were pre-cancerous so its good I went in. I spend a lot of time outdoors and despite the sunblock, stuff happens I guess. Ive been to a dermatologist before and didnt really get any information, they just said there was nothing to worry about and sent me down the road. These folks are professional and considerate and informative - they didnt try to sell me a bunch of stuff, just took care of my situation, helped me understand whats going on and off I went. Great place, very glad I went and yes dear, I did schedule a follow up ;)

Went in to see about what the bumps were on my face, Dr Hodges said they were cysts and can be burned off. A week later nothing happened they were still there. I happened to be there for a consultation and mentioned that nothing was happening and another Dr. said they would have to charge me again cause another Dr. was gonna see me(which i could understand). The next day Dr. Hodges reburned the cysts(at no costs)and then saids they may need more involved procedure. So i paid for something that i thought was going to be better, it is not, still have the cysts. I was concidering to have something else done, but not now.

Everyone I have spoken to in the office has been wonderful. The Dr. was also very reassuring about my daughters skin condition. What I really want you to know is how much this office helped me. My family does not have insurance and they went out of their way to help me pay for the prescription. I went from being told it would cost $750 to $75 just by the nurse directing me to a specialty pharmacy that does mail prescriptions. This means so much to me. It means even more to my 3 year old. They are truly there to help you and I cannot recommend them enough. They are deserving of my highest praise.

I visited Dr. McGuinesss office in Murphy for the first time last week. I requested to see Dr. McGuiness. I have seen many dermatologists over the years as I have been doing regularly yearly check ups for years. Dr. McGuiness was by far the most thorough dermatologist I have seen. I appreciated how he explained everything. I learned many things I did not know before and I was glad to have such a thorough exam. I highly recommend Dr. McGuiness and I will continue with him as my dermatologist in the years to come.

It was WORST experience you can ever have. she prescribed $500 cosmetic skincare products/medicines while medicated skincare treatment was needed. I wish i shouldnt have taken that appointment. staff is extremely rude.I would highly recommend not to waste your money/time for these useless doctor appointment. all the good reviews seems fake. i looked at her reviews to choose her.These reviews should be true helping people to choose right doctor. I would give her BIG ZERO on reviews
