My grandmother went there for continued IV antibiotics for her urinary tract infection. While there she developed an ileus (bowel obstruction) and they were giving her morphine around the clock, you do not give morphine to people with bowel obstructions as morphine causes bowel obstructions and the nurses didnt seem to know that. The worst thing was my mother was frustrated because my grandmother was swelling up and called me in Dallas to tell me that nothing was being done and my grandmother could barely lift her head. I had to request for the doctor to draw labs and the facility could not contact Dr. Clement for 20 hours I. I insisted and fought with them for eight hours to have my grandmother transferred to the hospital once she got to the hospital she was in congestive heart failure. Her BNP was so high. She was treated and my barely responsive grandmother was sitting up the next day barking out orders. Those nurses need I services on s/s of congestive heart failure and they need a new medical director. Poor poor quality of care.

My man crushs mother went there. with pneumonia stay ed there 3 or 4 weeks got out monday or so. Now is in St Elizabeths with double pneumonia and an infection in her blood which iscausing her to be in protective isolation. All behind mid jefferson leaving an IV heplock in for 6 days insstead of changing them q 72 hrs
