I called and made an appointment for my son for Saturday the 15th of July. I was told they had an available opening for an appointment at 11 am. I was called back and asked to move my appointment to 11:30 am but please show up at 11:15 to fill out paperwork. We were. 11:30 came, we sat there, 11:45 came, we sat there waiting, 12:00 came we were still waiting......I come from a military family and punctuality is key. Dont set a time for a patient then change the time, then not keep your time. Horrible experience at this place! My advice save yourself some time and go somewhere that will keep their appointments. Worst optometrist I have EVER been to.

My wife, 3 year old, and I all saw Dr. Brueggemann for eye exams a couple of weeks ago. He was able to see us right away-no wait. Very punctual office! We had a great experience. He was very thorough and informative. He explained every test to us and he was great with my toddler daughter. He even managed to get her to sit still in the chair while he examined her. I cant even accomplish that. Plus hes just a cool guy. Very personable and approachable. I cant say enough positive things. Overall he is the best eye doctor I have ever been too. I am a customer for life. I have referred all my co-workers to him!

I was a new patient at their New Braunfels office. My annual eye exam with Dr. Brueggemann was an all around pleasant experience. I chose the Optomap retinal scan rather than getting my eyes dilated. Optomap was worth the extra money because a Texas sunny day with dilated eyes is your own little slice of hell. They did not push the Optomap on me, but I am glad I got it. Doctor said it is a good 2D screening tool that could allow yearly comparative analysis. However, if he discovers something during screening he will revert to a dilation exam. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of VSP insurance billing

I recently moved to austin and having to find a new dr is always such a pain but i am so impressed with dr Brueggemann i will be referring my friends and family to him. He explains everything in detail and i dont feel rushed. His staff is also very nice and helpful!
