As a pet owner who only wants the best for my furbaby I was very disappointed and irritated to say the least about my first time to penny paws. First off, there were several dogs in the waiting room and a family and there dog were waiting to pay and leave. Not only did she just come out of an appointment and there was a 15-20 minute conversation still being held at the front desk about her dog, they did nothing to accommodate and take into consideration other peoples pets. The dog was extremely anxious and yelping barking the WHOLE TIME I WAS WAITING. As a vet staff they shouldve suggested going outside with the dog as she was with her two children. My kitten and the other dogs were extremely uneasy because of this. Wait time took FOREVER. Then when my baby was ready to get her shots they take her to the back and dont even do it right there in front of you. Not only did that happen but I had asked to get her nails cut and they never once mentioned to me it would be $15 extra dollars. I didnt mind paying but I wouldve like to know that I would be paying otherwise I wouldve opted out as I could do it at home. They made it seem like oh yeah no problem like it was free. Not a single word about it costing $15. Another thing too was that when I got home to check my bank statement I had been charged not once but TWICE for my visit and not a single word once again was mentioned to me like hey sorry we swiped it through twice but well be taking care of one of the charges and charge it back to your card. Customer service was just not apart of their plan. I felt ripped off lied to and overall very Unsatisfied with my experience. And another thing too was that once she was about to get her shots the technicians were trying everything in their power to get her another medicine that they claimed she NEEDED but in the end mentioned to say "its up to you" so I guess I didnt really NEED it. AWFUL!!! Irritated cant even begin to describe how I felt leaving penny paws. If I could give no stars I would.

This place was awful. They lied to my face about my dog. Made me pay several hundred dollars ($548 to be exact) to tell me that they couldnt read the x-rays because thats not her job. Then wanted to recommended her friend who could read them for the low cost of a lot more money. She told me that if i were to have the x-rays done she would be able to tell me whats wrong with my dog. She put my poor dog through all that stress to tell me that she couldnt read a simple x-ray she went to school for 8 years to learn. The people at the front desk are nice, but have no knowledge of their job. Every time i called for information they put me on hold to ask someone else, despite it being a simple question. And dont forget to mention that they told me they could do the x-rays first and then another day to the blood work to lesson the amount i had to spend all at once, took my dog in and called me FOUR HOURS LATER to tell me that they lied and that the blood work would have to be done first, i was informed wrong originally. They also didnt contact me at my work number that i had told the front desk to call to get ahold of me, considering my phone doesnt get signal. I EVEN PUT IT ON THE PAPER WORK. After all that, they tried scamming me for more money to do more tests that i had already done just a couple months prior. I ended up going to another vet and he took one glance and the blood work and x-rays and told me they were incompetent and definitely didnt care about the dog, just the money.

So their online prices are higher than most other online stores and vets I have checked, at least for the Revolution medicine I wanted. Because of this i tried using them as a reference to buy on a different website since I had my dog checked for heart worms at one of their mobile clinics. However, they called me and said they would charge me a $13 fee for this. Ok, fine. Then I tried calling them to use their price match guarantee that is clearly stated on their website. But their dialer system, which prompts me to type 3 for online orders just puts you on hold and then HANGS UP after 10 minutes. I tried this three times during their regular hours. The fourth time I just dial 2 to get a vet technician and finally get an answer. However, I can only price match for an ONLINE order if I come in to the store with proof. Since their clinics are now a 40 minute drive from my place since I moved, I ended up paying $15 more than I should have. Along with wasting 30 minutes waiting on hold on their broken dialer system. Guess I wont be using Penny Paws again. EDIT: After talking with a representative she informed me that I only needed to use the comment section when filing an order online to do price matching. Im editing my review so hopefully someone else will benefit from this. This wasnt clear at all and apparently some of the staff (the vet tech/receptionist and the vet she had to ask) didnt know this when I originally called them.

I can say penny paws has a nice and friendly staff. But my experience there was not so good, I arrive 10 before my appointment and waited 15 till I was called. And at that they didnt even have a proper exam room available for my dog to be looked at . I took my chihuahua to get his ears checked out about 4 weeks ago. The vet couldnt find what the issue was, I waited about 20 minutes for the doctor just to tell it must be some kind of bacteria and gave him antibiotic shot that they told me works really well and last up to about 2 weeks. A week passes and still noticed my chihuahuas ears was still bothering him. I waited a little bit longer to see if he would get better.Today I took him to vca animal hospital in Saginaw and the vet there told me, my chihuahua had an infection. And that the antibiotic that Penny paws gave me was pointless it didnt do him any good because they should have given me an antibiotic that goes directly in the ears where the infection was. I wouldnt recommend going to penny paw it was my first time going and i didnt have paper work to fill out it was done over the phone, so that wasnt the reason for the long wait experience and didnt treat my dog properly.

I wouldnt have left even one star if I wasnt forced to do so by the system programming. What a HORRIBLE experience! We took our sick cat to get checked out. Its close to us, and figured wed utilize the service. MISTAKE! Arrived 15 min early, and 30 min after our appt time, the vet was still chatting away with a customer who had brought in some fancy breed of cat whod had a litter of kittens. Vet then goes and brings out a puppy, then the mama dog, still chatting. Well, by this time my poor sick baby had pottied himself, and is in extreme stress. That vet was too interested in showing off pets than worrying about doing her job as a veterinarian. By the time we are upset enough to walk out, one of the techs asks if weve been helped and offers us a room. REALLY??! The one tech (little gal with a blonde pony tail), she didnt know we were there, so Ill give her major points for her concern and consideration. The other 3 or 4 and the older lady vet? Not a second thought. I will NEVER recommend this clinic. Extremely unprofessional. Romper Room at its finest!! Good thing my poor baby wasnt getting ready to die on the spot, because he surely would have.
