My insurance policy changed and I had to switch from the Dentist that used for several years, if I wanted to use the new insurance. With that being said, I scheduled an appointment for my routine teeth cleaning. When I arrived the process took about 1 1/2 hours to complete x-rays and exam. They recommended everything from Crowns to a deep cleaning. When I asked the Dentist what exactly was a Crown, she just turned around, turned on a video and walked out of the room. She never personally answered my question. For that I could have Googled or YouTubed the information myself. Of course the treatment was well beyond what the insurance would cover. Everyone took a turn on me and I sure felt like they were upselling me on everything. It felt like I was buying a car. I called back today to schedule a teeth cleaning without the deep cleaning, and was told by someone filling in at the front desk (who was not a Hygienist but used to be a dental assistant at one time) that I couldnt get a cleaning without getting all the other recommended work. I didnt feel she was qualified to recommend treatment, she should stick to answering the phone. Im going to ask for my X-rays (which will take about 10 days) and go back to my regular dentist whom Ive trusted for years and pay out of pocket if necessary. If youre looking to get hustled, then this is your place. Its apparent that commissions play a big part in this dentist office.

I have extensive knowledge in the field! We moved here and i had a chipped tooth with a lost filling out of a Lower bicuspid. Damaged from a Porcelain fused to metal crown a rookie put on in Richmond VA! I have had the absolute best dental treatment during my 20 in the Air Force. Gold Crowns, Root Canals done by the Best! I have teeth in Dental Text Books! I came into Randolph Dentistry in pain, I wanted the tooth resolved before any talk of plans or anything else! low and Behold the Dentist came in and very quickly described a list of treatments in clouding bridges and crowns and I said just pull the tooth! Then antler woman came in with a list of procedures and a cost analysis! I said once again, I know when I have lost, Pull the tooth! During the time I waited i grew more anxious as the Dentist had a slide show on in the lobby that was a bunch of Clef palate kids a, a Military member who was wounded and pictures of her by her new Corvette! Dont take your kids here, theyll have nightmares! Most dentists have on cartoons! They finally pulled the tooth, overcharged me even though I had insurance and i left! They wanted 3800 dollars, offered financing, and was going to do the cutdown and impressions the same day! I should have received a Root Canal, it was only a bicuspid! Something wrong with these people and they may be billing insurance wrong!

My last appointment was almost a year ago, at which point I went in with an infected tooth and was told that the "dentist" would not do any work unless I agreed to a procedure totaling $7000. Needless to say, I dont have that. So I paid for the checkup where nothing was checked and found another dentist who treated the infection and extracted the tooth for a reasonable price. Fast forward six months, and I start receiving bills in the mail for $60 and include a note that I have ten days to take care of it before its reported to credit agencies. So I called, the receptionist stated she would do an audit and get back to me since I had no idea what the bill was for... A month goes by, I get another bill, call again, get told they will audit and get back, again, they never contact me. Wash rinse repeat. I have now gotten six bills, each one for the $60 plus extra fees, and nobody can tell me what it is for. I have gone to the office to ask and sat for an hour waiting while the receptionist said she was looking it up, only to find out that she had gone home for the day shortly after and nobody had any idea what I was talking about. Long story short, THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Is it not strange that this place only has reviews with one star or five stars. Does it not sound like employees or employee family were asked to provide those reviews. They may be real, but sure is suspicious. I for one took a letter from my insurance company explaining that they had not approved the work. I clearly told Randolph Dental Clinic that if my insurance company was not paying that I did not want any work done. I was assured that they had call the company and all had been cleared. My mistake was not demanding a document limiting my obligation to what we agreed $647. Now they are charging me an additional $840 and they had to have known about it from day one. However they did not send me a bill until February and then again in August. BEWARE NOT A TRUSTWORTHY ORGANIZATION. There are many other dental clinics. I recommend you chose a more ethical group. Their onsite TV advertisement wants to make you believe they do humanitarian work. If they did why do they have to flaunt it. I am sure it is all tax deductible. So, it is the taxpayers who are paying for their humanitarian work. I felt disgusted by their advertisement.

Long story short, save your money and go elsewhere!!! The doctor I was seen/examined by was a quack, at BEST. I went in and had a full x-ray done, was completely IGNORED in my request of him to be careful when examining the two teeth that were bothering me(not only did was he ridiculously rough in putting the spacers in prior to the x-rays being taken, he sat there and stabbed and pricked at my teeth/gums!), and upon going back for my second appointment with him, he was unsure of which two teeth he was going to pull. I wound up walking out of the 2nd appointment(while still in extreme pain, mind you, so you know it HAD to be bad for me to up and leave), and having this clinic refer me to a wonderful surgeon who did what needed to be done without incident, and who also said it was NOT the first time he had heard of issues with this dentist. Oh, and to top it all off, the office staff there at Randolph is rude to the extreme. Unless this is your absolute last resort and you are a glutton for punishment, save your money and go elsewhere because you will find anything BUT good staff/dentists and a clean office at Randolph!!!

Made an appointment to be at the New Braunfels location. I showed up 30 min early to fill out paperwork. Only to discover there was no one at the office. And no office hours posted. So I called and they informed me that I had to drive to Universal City. Went in because of tooth pain they took X-rays without any lead shield protection . The doctor didnt even look in my mouth and told me I had sinus issues not tooth issues. After practically begging her to look in my mouth she discovered that one of my molars was cracked. They forced me to pay for all of the work prior to doing anything. This included two crowns. Then they put in a temporary crown that had a hole in it. I went to get a second opinion three days later. And called back to stop the crowns from being made. They refused to give me any money back. Saying that the $1868 I was charged for crowns was going to be kept for doctors time. The time that was never spent with me installing crowns. I tried several times to get the doctor on the phone. I had to get the money back with my credit card company.
