I moved to the Woodlands 3 years ago, and between my mother and myself, we have 3 dogs and 3 cats, which are all strays/rescues and all came with a multitude of problems--"issues".. Medically and psychologically. sweetest grin. I am so picky about their vet care, that I was still driving them inside the loop to their vet for their annual check ups.... until one Sat afternoon one of them was sick and I was frantically calling around and dialed VV@SR, where Ann picked up the phone and could detect my duress--and she said, "just get her as quickly and safely as you can--we will wait for you!" I wasnt even a client. Ever since that first day, we take all of our pets to VVSR now. EVERYONE here is compassionate, caring, EDUCATED, KNOWLEDGEABLE and loving --from the front desk to the techs, most especially to the vets caring for your pets !!! From the way they touch them, handle them and care for them, you will know they are all animal lovers !!! My pets have been to every vet here, on numerous occasions--I TRUST and admire all of them, IMPLICITLY !!! I have formed a special bond with Dr. Ruth Ainsworth, however, and she has "baby-ed" my dogs thru heartworm treatments to torn ACL/meniscus surgery, even, preferring to refer me out to the very best ortho surgeon, because it was so extensive. Couldnt be happier...My dog has made full recovery, running on the golf course daily. They are through, yet conservative and always explain EVERYTHING in great detail, spending lots of time with you, answering any questions you might have, giving you options with everything--including pricing--as they are NOT INTERESTED in compiling large medical bills for unnecessary testing or treatments, however, they will tell you when they feel it is warranted, or a necessary evil...because of repercussions that may evolve from not finding out. They are HONEST and INTEGRAL, COMPASSIONATE AND CARING. I am a flt attendant, and does alot of animal rescues with our group. I have been to numerous vets....numerous clinics...They are the BEST !! I have referred many friends here, who I felt have needed"second opinions" from what their vets have recommended.. They have NEVER gone back to their old vets!!!!! Bring your pet in...you will KNOW the minute you walk into the front door-- I can recommend VV@SR, unequivocally as the best vet clinic in the Woodlands !!!! God bless all the wonderful staff here !! And thank you for EVERYTHING.

This note is long overdue. When I moved to TX, the Village Vet seemed to be very convenient for me. So I went in and NEVER regretted my gut feeling. My dog, shortly after arriving to TX, was acting tired, did not play anymore, and was just sad. At first I thought he had allergies, but nothing seemed to help. I finally took him back to see Dr. Grimley. After examining Deuce, Dr. Grimley asked me if HE HAD MY PERMISSION to do some tests to confirm his hunch. The results confirmed that Deuce had Addison disease! one of the most difficult disease to diagnose and is most of the time misdiagnosed. All is well with the treatment and monthly follow ups and shots. The personnel with whom I have the most contact, Michele, Leslie and Sean, are just so friendly but never cross the line from professionalism to being too personal. All the others seem as friendly, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. To be noted also, is that if you buy your medications, food, etc. from The Village Vet , they match the lowest price found on the Internet without having to ask for it. The place is so pleasant. It doesnt smell like sick dogs and the floor is spotless. I am always greeted with smiles and am given the impression that they really expected me to make their day. Should I say more? I wish that all doctors for humans were as nice, great at their craft and would give me the same care and attention than I get from my Vet.

Dr. Mark Moore is my absolute favorite (and funniest) vet! When I lived in the area in 2014, we had a puppy with severe intestinal issues, and he went out of his way to help us with our puppy to the best of his ability. He cares deeply about his work and the well being of all animals, and without him, I dont know how we would have been able to manage or cope with our puppys health issues. Now that we have moved away to Kansas, or Todo land as he would to call it, we adopted a new puppy that recently dislocated her elbow. Even though I am no longer a client at the Village Vet, I felt comfortable enough to give Dr. Moore a call about my current puppy issue. Sure enough, he called me back the very next day and gave me his own opinion on my puppys current condition. He is a nice and wonderful person that makes time for anyone, even people who are no longer his costumers. If I move back to the Woodlands anytime soon, I would without a doubt come running back to the Village Vet because they really make you feel like a valued costumer and take the best care of all pets!

I have had many pet family members taken care of by The Doctors here. We have had really bad service at other vets before we came her to village vet. we had to have our yellow lab put to sleep and they were so kind and gentle to her and us as a family . Dr. Moore was so kind and we got notes from them . Our cat mew two was sick before we used Village vet and we took him to another vet , he was left in vomit and put through tests that could not have saved him. We rushed him to Dr. Moore and he told us the truth , he had liver issues and could not be saved and was put to sleep , again he was kind and the staff was so nice to us . We also had to have Maddie our black lab put to sleep due to kidney failure and they consoled us and was amazing through it all and the grief we went through . We now only go here with our pit bull and cat ! I will not go any where else !!! They are educated, know what to do and kind , and honest ! you cant beat them. I have had great service and feel like family when I go in . They know me by name and ask about family as well.

We really love this place and we love how they care for our black labrador. From the reception staff to the technicians and not least of all the vets themselves...every single member of this office are competent, consistent and most importantly caring. The staff here are very thorough, always explain everything that they are doing and what theyre thinking as they examine and diagnose your pet. Family have used this practice for several beloved dogs over the years and they have shown a genuine, supportive and loving side especially during difficult end-of-life moments with furry babies. We love this place so much that when we relocated to San Antonio not so long ago we still take our pup to them for any routine or non emergent vet needs when were visiting family in The Woodlands because we know we can trust them to do the right thing. We have tried other vets in other areas and although we still have one on file for emergencies in the local area, we feel sad to not have the Village Vet so close-by because other practices have yet to compare.
