This is the worst pet animal hospital ever, 1st of all, there is too many to list right now, im not gonna waste to much of my time on this place. From day one it was disposal fees, if you use a credit card 5% or 7% fee, once we were in the exam room and there were 2 assistants in the room as well, and i grabbed a bag off the shelf to look at it and it was already open, so when she came in to go over my bill for the visit she told me there was an extra 15.00 added on because she said i opened THE BAG OF DOG TREATS THAT DOGS CAN TAKE WITH MEDICINE IN THE MIDDLE. I said what, i didnt open it, plus how are you automatically charging me without asking me if i opened it, So that was a big deal, Also we got a new puppy and went to Dr. jimenez for the " New Puppy" visit and deworm, well we took the dog right after we got her that same day, and we thought it was a male pup, without even paying attention,( my girls were really excited ) and they even put male on the paperwork, after we get home from the Dr. i look at her and Im like, its not a male it is a female, point being, the Dr. did such a good exam he didnt say nothing about what sex the puppy was, not good..... Last but not least, final straw was i canceled my dog membership and told the girl in charge DO NOT TAKE IT OUT OF MY CREDIT CARD PLEASE, I WILL COME IN AND SETTLE WITH YOU GUYS WITH ANOTHER FORM OF PAYMENT, SHE SAID OK, I GO IN AND PAY 116.00 DOLLARS, HALF OF THE BALANCE TO CANCEL, AND TOLD HER I WILL BE BACK IN 2 WEEKS TO PAY OFF ANOTHER 115.00 AND SHE SAID OK. i knew i should have called the credit card company that i told her not to use, but i figured she would handle it right, Well i thought very wrong., they charged my card again after i paid half the balance that day......So basically TOOK MY money out of my credit card without my permission... Needless to say i was very upset, AND WANT TO TELL PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SO CALLED "BEST CARE" ANIMAL HOSPITAL, THEY WILL SUCK YOU DRY AND THE DR IS IN LA LA LAND... GLAD ITS OVER

We took our Great Dane puppy to them at 7 weeks for an ear crop. The ears turned out great, and for the quality of crop we received, the price was fair. My only complaint for that service is that most vets who offer this service (not my first time to have a dogs ears cropped) provide the aftercare and taping as a courtesy and include it in the upfront price whereas they do not. Now for the bad part. Our puppy ended up having a having a heart defect and we ended up euthanizing him at 2.5 months. This particular condition could have been detected early if the vet had paid attention during one of the 4 or 5 visits he had during the previous weeks. If detected early, we could have sought out surgery to correct the defect, but he was already dying by the time it was caught. He gained only 4 to 5 pounds in a month instead of the 3 to 5 a week most Danes gain and I brought this to their attention just about every time I dropped him off. Turns out, this was one of the recognizable signs of a problem. Bottom line, Dr Jiminez did not ask questions when he should have been, and when confronted about this, he made excuses as to why he never bothered. We were asking the questions, he just dismissed them until it was far too late to do anything for the puppy. My advice is to avoid securing their services for anything but ear cropping, and if you do, please have the puppy simultaneously reviewed by another vet. We should have taken him somewhere else before bringing our baby here to have a thorough check done. We will never come back here.

Dr. Jimenez has been our familys vet for three dogs and a cat, and he is an incredible veterinarian. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate, and he does not push unnecessary tests like some vets do. Hes also very attentive and asks great questions to try to fully understand what may be contributing to symptoms youve observed with your pet. Our prior vet had completely missed that our senior cat had become diabetic, and Dr. Jimenez picked up on signs pointing to this on the very first visit. He was also recently a lifesaver to our 18 year old Terrier mix who had developed acute pancreatitis and has been a true partner in every step of her recovery. As an added benefit, Best Care is open from 7 AM - 7 PM Monday through Saturday, and theyll let you drop your pet off and pick up later, if needed. Best Care offers wellness plans that cover unlimited office visits, annual teeth cleanings, certain tests, vaccinations, etc. plus a discount on anything that is not covered. Weve purchased wellness plans for our pets, which has really helped to keep the costs down with our two senior pets. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Jimenez and the staff at Best Care Animal Hospital. I highly recommend them and wouldnt bring our pets anywhere else.

These people are thieves. They quoted me 50-60 dollars over the phone, I got there, they took her to a back room for the exam process, doc reads me the results, later, the assistant walks in with my bill and its OVER $300!!! I was SHOCKED!!!! The vet came in and explained to me that he "had to" do EXTRA blood work to make sure my kitty didnt have diabetes etc... and since he "read me the results of those tests", I had to pay. Then HE accused ME of stealing his services!!! It was unreal. I never asked for those tests! In fact, I scheduled the appointment carefully to ensure I didnt go over my budget. I couldnt believe that this was actually happening. He was charging me for services I didnt ask for! To top it off, my baby ended up having a UTI(which can lead to death) and he REFUSED to give her the medicine until I paid off the over $300 bill! I was in Hell. Backed against a wall. I couldnt believe someone could do this to people. I was desperate for treatment for my baby and vulnerable... and he took advantage of me. I paid the bill, my baby got her shot and she is good. Never shall I return to Best Care Animal Hospital.

The doctor was nice, but other than that I was not impressed with this place. The two girls working the counter were really young and seemed more interested in getting off their shift than helping me. When I went in it was very dark with very few lights on and really warm, they must be hurting if they are skimping on electricity this much. That almost made me feel bad until they told me they wanted to charge me $250 for just a few basic services, and that was with what they called a "good samaritan discount" because the dog I was having evaluated was one I had rescued from a street corner. She was very skittish because of her ordeal and they were not gentle with her, she ended up getting her head banged on the corner of the exam table because they could not pick her up correctly. Part of the $250 charge included a $35 fee for trimming an approximately 1"x1" patch of hair where a hot spot was located. I can get my entire miniature poodle bathed, nails trimmed, and hair cut for that price. I guess I shouldnt be so surprised by a place located in Vintage Park, but I wont be back here.
