I have just experienced the worst customer service of my life! My husband and I are needing to drop off our dogs in the kennel and catch a flight for the holidays, and we show up at 12:05 on a Friday. I understand you are closed from 12-2 every single Friday, which are the WORST times in the day to be closed, but for my husband and I to be knocking on that front door, literally STARING at everyone in the main lobby watching them eat their lunch and stare right back at me....I have no words. It was freezing cold outside, and Im VERY pregnant trying to calm my dogs down and just literally looking at all of them in the eyeballs, and it took 30 minutes for them to finally open the door and scream in my face that they are closed for a "staff meeting"! And ON TOP of that, I called the emergency number and the woman who calls them in emergencies couldnt even get a hold of them!! WHAT??? You call yourselves a 24/7 vet emergency hospital but NO ONE can reach you in an emergency??!! And ON TOP of that you are only the emergency vet to those pets you have on your list of "usual customers"!!! Im sorry but I just cannot keep my cool right now! Do these wretched people not have a guilty conscience? Now Im honestly worried about how they are going to treat our babies!! If they treat humans the way they treated my husband and I today, then how the heck can I expect them to treat my dogs?!

Wonderful! They are really there for you and your pet. My cat got her eye scratched (again) rough housing with another cat. I already had some medication from a previous eye scratch incident and called the answering service to leave a message. Dr. Wade took time out of his Saturday to give me some advice and Im grateful as most veterinarians in this area just love to charge fee after fee and state that you must bring in your pet and pay at least $175 for an emergency visit. I wanted to see if there was any first aid I could do and if the other medication I had previously used was suitable. Dr. Wade was very helpful, understanding and even willing to call in a new script if need be. My cat will be fine thanks to instructions on my cats injured eye. Ive not had that kind of help for a pet of any kind after I left the East Coast. I honestly didnt expect a call back and thought Id just have to flush the eye with solution. I switched from another vet office that was pushing religion and found it to be very unprofessional. Im so glad I found these doctors and their staff. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and take pride in what they do. Thank you so much Dr. Wade!

Friendliest staff of any vet I have been to. Even if I dont remember them, they remember me. Dr. Wade is the only vet Ive ever been to that my cat doesnt throw a fit for when being examined. Another comment says hes a "cat whisperer" and I would definitely agree. They are also willing to work with you to try to keep your costs low (by trying inexpensive treatments first, having a nurse do a treatment, or letting you do treatments at home). Ive been going for about 2 years now and have only been upset with them once due to a miscommunication. If the wait times werent so long (even with an appointment) they would get 5 stars.

Dr wade is fantastic and truly cares for the animals. I have been goin to him for the last 4 yrs. He has taken care of my 2 oldest furbabys their entire life and is now caring for our newest family member who is 11 weeks old. The entire staff is caring, compassionate and show so much love to all of my babies. The only complaint is that their prices are a bit higher than other veterinarians in this area. That being said, they do offer different monthly specials that are helpful. All in all A Caring Heart is exactly as the name says...caring and a great place to go.

My family has been using this vet clinic for years and they have never failed us. The staff is friendly and loves animals. Most recently: my little terrier mix ripped his dew claw out. It was literally 10 minutes until closing time, but I brought him in and they saw me, treated him, stayed half an hour past close to get him treated and were caring and attentive throughout the whole process. I always have wonderful experiences there. They are reasonably priced too, which helps.

I called and told them my dog was having issues and the lady on the phone told me just to walk in. So I drive over and go in just for them to tell me theyre not talking any more walk ins today. Make an appointment for the next day and wait over an hour to be seen while I watch 3 people that came in after me go in before me. I will find a better vet that actually cares because this one does not.

I took my small dog to A Caring Heart and was so glad I did. Dr. Slaybaugh was the best vet Ive ever dealt with. He was caring and easy with my scared dog. I am so happy that I found them. The staff there is also very good. They were kind and understanding. I felt very comfortable there and so did my baby. I will not go anywhere else. Thanks guys...you are the best!

We switched from the base vet clinic to caring heart because of availability reasons and I must say that we have been very pleased thus far. Dr. Wade has been wonderful with our chocolate lab Logan and our cat Neema. He tries to keep costs low and explains everything to me in a very compassionate and caring way and the rest of the staff have all been great as well.

I called around to check prices for puppy 1st shots, Ashley her at Caring Heart quoted $80.00 to $90.00. WOW! Not a set.price just a price range and no other explaination. I got shots for set price of $27.50. Love my new vet with reasonable rate quotes.

These guys are great and you can tell that every employee there loves animals. Dr. Wade is definitely a "cat whisperer", which anyone with cats will understand is not that common. Very clean and organized office and very reasonable prices.
