I will NEVER visit this doctors office again. EVER. The first time I visited, my appointment was at 4:45 p.m. I waited in the almost empty lobby for 45 minutes, then was moved to one of the patient rooms. Once inside the room, I sat there for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. I could hear Dr. Scott Beckstead in the room next to me speaking with another patient. They were discussing anything but the patients ailments - and were in there chit chatting while I waited. I then went out of my room and told the nurse that she needed to tell him to hurry because I had to leave at 7:30. She apologized and he came into my room: unapologetic. I then was sent to have an ultrasound and he wrote the order for the wrong ultrasound. I asked the technician why she did the ultrasound everywhere but where I was experiencing pain and she said she had to follow the orders. I was then sent back 2 more times. The third time, I kept waiting and waiting for the doctor or his staff to call me back with the results. After a few days, I called and was told by the receptionist that they would call me back that day. I received no call. I called the next day, once in the morning and once right before five, I didnt receive a call back. I called the next day, and I didnt receive a call until EIGHT DAYS LATER! I was told by Dr. Scott Beckstead that I would need a CT scan. I drove to his office 2 days later and picked up the order for my CT. I got clear home and opened the envelope with the order in it, and it was written for the WRONG thing AGAIN. I drove back to his office and made them fix the order - waiting for the nurse to bring it out to me after nearly 20 minutes. I had my CT scan on Monday, December 17th. I was told the doctor would have my results within 24 hours. I called Tuesday, I never received a call back. I called Wednesday morning, and never received a call back. I called Thursday (today) at 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:45 p.m., and 4:50 p.m. - I was assured by the receptionist that I would be called, after I explained to her my frustration with never getting calls back. It is now 6:00 p.m. and once again, I STILL HAVENT BEEN CALLED back from Dr. Scott Beckstead or his incompetent staff. I have never in my life, experienced anything like this. I should not have to chase down a supposed "professional" to give me my diagnosis. I shouldnt have to waste my time getting 2nd and third ultrasounds because he didnt write it correctly the first time. I shouldnt have to check my CT order to make sure it was written correctly. I typically praise those in the medical profession because they do so much for so many, and are unappreciated. However: This is the doctors office from HELL.

If I could give him 10 stars, I would. Like the great majority of reviews, I too cant say enough about how wonderful our experience with Dr. Beckstead has been. Were referring everyone we know to him. My wife just had our first baby; so we were understandably nervous about all the unknowns (including our doctor visits). Dr. Beckstead and his staff exceeded our expectations in every way. At each of our pre-natal appointments, we were seen promptly (usually within 5-10 minutes). He was gentle with my wife, sensitive to our concerns and helpful in answering the barrage of questions we had for him (Never once did we feel as though he didnt have the time to help us). During delivery Dr. Beckstead anticipated two small complications we might face and had the NICU staff on hand to adequately deal with these (a possible infection and meconium in the placenta). What resulted was a perfectly orchestrated delivery and subsequent treatment for these complications. This helped us avoid any further problems we could have had. Dr. Beckstead and the LDS Hospital staff were there every step of the way to ensure we received the care we needed and we couldnt be more thankful to him and to them. One more thing... While at the hospital I commented to the staff on how wonderful our experience had been with Dr. Beckstead. It was then that we learned that many of the nurses on that floor also use him as their primary care physician. I think that says a lot about the quality of care he provides.

Sorry to the person who had such a bad experience with the office. My family of five has been seeing Doctor Beckstead for almost 10 years. I have nothing but the best to say about him and his office. Ive never run into long wait times. He has always been professional, competent, prompt, and courteous. He takes time to clearly explain everything and explore all options until Im satisfied. Lab results and his evaluations are always available very quickly online. His office staff has always been well organized and courteous. My family has been very happy with this doctor.

Super nice guy, very professional and accommodating. For my first appointment, I brought my headphones and a soft drink in case I was in for a long, boring wait. But after checking in at the receptionists desk, I hadnt even been sitting for 60 seconds when someone came out and called for me. Then once in the doctors office, Dr. Beckstead came in after 2-3 minutes of waiting. I didnt even had time to fill out the medical questionnaire yet. Overall Im really impressed, Im glad I found Dr. Beckstead and I plan on going to him in the future.
