If I could choose not to give any stars, I would. We went into the hospital about 5:00 in the morning on Christmas Eve. My wife had been extremely ill for a while and finally, after having a very high fever and several more concerning issues, we decided it was time to visit the Emergency Room after verifying that our normal doctor would be closed until the 26th. We were handled very promptly by the staff and taken to a room pretty quickly. The doctor, a Dr. Lombardi, came in and spoke to us for less than a minute. Not once in this time did he approach my wife or check her throat, ears, sinus, mouth or any of the other areas we would have expected with the symptoms she was exhibiting. He ordered some blood work to be taken an a CT scan. We assumed that he was going to be doing those and then would continue with an examination to look at the other issues. After all of this was done, he came in and basically told us that we would need to visit our regular doctor as all of the results came back in normal. Never, not one time, did he ever examine my wife. When she asked if he could prescribe antibiotics, he told her that no, if her cold had been going on for this long and symptoms had escalated to this point, that we would need to talk to her regular doctor. It seems ridiculous to me that would immediately refer us to her regular doctor without even looking at the symptoms that were being exhibited. Because of this, she was unable to attend any Christmas festivities, the swelling in her face, neck, and mouth have prohibited her from eating anything solid, and she has been in an enormous amount of pain the entire weekend. On top of that, we will now have enormous doctors bills for a doctor that shouldnt be paid a single cent for his work. While I appreciate that he made sure her airways werent constricted with the CT scan, he did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. I would warn every single person from visiting this ER and this doctor, Dr. Lombardi. What an awful experience! We will be calling our insurance provider on Monday, after visiting our regular doctor, to file a formal complaint against this doctor and the care we received.

I loved delivering my baby at Riverton Hospital! My son decided to come 3 weeks early and on Christmas. When I showed up to the hospital to make sure everything was okay with our son the staff was more than helpful. Since this was my first pregnancy they helped keep me calm. Apparently my water had been broken for more than 24 hours and I was nervous about infection. The nurse that was with me through labor and delivery was Katie. She stayed with me even after her shift was finished. She helped keep me motivated through the entire "pushing" process. After delivery I was moved to postpartum where Emily took care of me my first night. She was great! She helped my husband get situated for the night and catered to our every need. The next morning I had Alicia and Jessica. Im new to breastfeeding and my nurse Alicia was able to help me with my latch. She spent one on one time with me to help me feel more confident with feeding my baby. Jessica was so sweet and showed us how to bathe our baby. I appreciated how gentle she was with our son. After Alicia and Jessica I had Shelley. Right when breastfeeding was getting a little hard Shelley helped keep my sanity. I had my first "new mom" breakdown and Shelley took our baby to the nursery and I was able to get some sleep. The next morning I had Kim and Tess. They helped my husband and I pack up the room and made sure we were all set as we were leaving the hospital. Overall, I loved my experience. The nurses were helpful and I was grateful for their patience, kindness, and assistance. If we still live in Utah I would love to have all of my babies here.

My experience with Riverton Hospital was not ideal. I was scheduled for an outpatient surgery on a Monday afternoon. Monday morning I received a call from the surgery scheduler explaining that theyd had a cancellation and were moving my surgery time up. She demanded that I come to the hospital immediately. I explained that I hadnt planned on coming in that early and couldnt possible get there as quickly as she wanted. The scheduler told me that I could either come in early or she would cancel my surgery that day. YIKES! After rearranging my schedule and rushing to the hospital, I was rushed through admittance and had 2 nurses doing pre-op work on me so that I could get in to surgery immediately. After I woke up from surgery I was immediately asked to get dressed. I was still very loopy and had only been back to my room for about 2 minutes. The next thing I know, Im being wheeled out to the curb for my family member to pick me up. I didnt even have shoes on or have my personal items from my recovery room. The post-op nurse was so quick to get rid of me, that they didnt ask if I had any questions or would like something to drink etc... I felt like cattle from the second I arrived at the hospital until I left. The staff seemed more concerned about herding me in and out of surgery, that they missed the opportunity to take care of me as a patient.

Very unhappy with the service here! Took my husband in with a myriad of symptoms and a lot of pain. There was literally no one in the waiting room, the only good thing about the visit. We were shown to a room immediately after seeing the triage nurse. But it still took half an hour for anyone else to come to see him. The Dr. examined him for a only a moment, said it was just from a skin infection and the stomach flu and sent us on our way. 3 days later I took him back. EVERYTHING had gotten worse and there were new symptoms. This Dr. at least spent a little more time talking to him and examining him. She ordered tests, came up with an answer and put us in contact with the specialist we needed. We though things were on their way to being fixed. To bad the specialist couldnt see him for a month. So he lived in pain, and actually lost his job because of it. By the time we got in to the specialist, also located at the riverton hospital, we really needed answers. The Dr. Came in, pushed on his side and said You dont need me, you have a hernia. You need a surgeon. The Riverton ER had missed this at BOTH VISITS!!! My husband needed surgery and we were lucky that we caught it before it got MUCH worse. I will NEVER go to this hospital again. Id rather go to Jordan Valley, and everyone in the salt lake valley knows they suck.

My father has been to many doctors for multiple amount of problems. He has told me how incredibly amazing this hospital is compared to others, his stay will be about 3 days. Every time I went to visit, 2-3 or more people came to check up on him. One time, 5 people came to check up on him. Maybe I just got there at the special check up times. I mean there was a nurse and different types of specialists like a pharmacist came up to talk to him personally to see how he was feeling. Very professional, friendly, and caring. My mother took him to the ER over there and waited less than 10 minutes or less to get help, knowing from his experiences at some other hospital it took 5 hours to get help even when he nearly lost all his breath and couldve died to the point when they did help him he had to yell at the doctors at how incredibly stupid they were when wanted to check other parts of the body like his leg while he was suffocating and breathing heavily, I was very appalled and mad at those other doctors, I think it was at the Murray location. Nevertheless, I was very happy to see how pleasant of the experience he had at this hospital. I know this hospital is new and not very busy, but I felt like he got specialized attention from all the workers there. We plan to go there every time now.
