I had been going to her on and off for probably 4 or 5 years between moving. Towards the last year I did not have a good experience at all and ended up getting 3 or 4 unnecessary and invasive ultrasounds which yielded zero conclusive results. My last appointment in they took some blood to run some tests and sent it to an out of network lab without so much as batting a lash and letting me know how costly this could be. I ended up with a $1500 lab bill. They did not seem to care that while it is also my responsibility to check, it is likewise their offices ethical duty to also check and know what a procedure or test will cost a patient. Their answer? Our office is small and they dont have the time to do that for patients. Not once have I ever had someone so unprofessionally tell me they basically have more patients than their office can handle. Also agree with other sentiments that Joanne Hinson only seems to care about scheduling more tests and appointments with you so she can keep billing you for not actually yielding any results. After not reviewing thoroughly reviewing the IUD with me I started having issues. Youre supposed to be able to check the placement. Mine? Nope and "it should be fine." Fibroids and cysts are normal for women. Who told me this? Not my "doctor" who instead had me get three ultrasounds to find this out but did ZERO follow up to tell me what fibroids and cysts are and if I should or shouldnt have to worry. I had to Google it. What a joke of a practitioner. I hope not a single other woman had to go through her office with that pit in their stomach from how broke and uninformed she likes to leave patients.

Leaving this doctors office I felt extreamly taken advantage of. I am 19 years old and went in by myself for the first time for some issues I was having and with that I was hoping to get on a birth control for my period. The doctor quickly examined the issues and with very little discussion of anything reccomended I get an IUD for birth control she told me a pamphlet would be at the front desk with more information. She abruptly left the room and I was sitting there not knowing if the appointment was over and wondering if I should get dressed. I waited 30 minutes for a 7 minute appointment. I left the office feeling as uninformed as I was waking into the office. Every doctor I have had in the past has asked me questions about my period and lifestyle and discussed the different options that are out there for me. I would leave with solutions and with her I left with a pamphlet and the issues I walked trough the door with. I would never recomment this gynecologist to ANYONE.

Dr. Hinson literally saved my wife weeks of agony and pain by working her into her schedule and listening and giving a proper diagnosis of the problem. We had seen a few other physicians that diagnosed the overall situation, but were not willing to act on anything at the time. We were told to wait it out and take pain meds. Dr. Hinson read the same reports, looked at the same information, and made decisions to act rather than wait. As a result, my wifes pain subsided that same day from the first minor procedure done right then in her office, and now is healing from a necessary laproscoptic surgery rather than waiting for weeks for the same result. We cannot recommend Dr. Hinson enough - if you are tired of the run around with big healthcare then it is time to see Dr. Hinson. She is a great blessing!

I felt like the office visit was just for me! Her nurse is the most wonderful! Her office is calm and not scampering with patients because she takes the time with you to explain what is going on with you. She preforms the examination and then takes you into her office where she has video to show what is happening to your body and models to show you how she would come in and fix your problem. She spent a great deal of time for the first appointment and we have made a plan of progress. She truly has that BEDSIDE manner that most people would like to experience when going to the doctor. Dr. Hinson is very good at hooking you in to one visit after another with no written plan, using terms very familiar to herself but unfamiliar to me, talking about plans with no outline for me to follow, just keeping the income coming into her office. Accepting cash/credit card only, pay in full, no insurance accepted. She works with an online supplement company that automatically sends her recommended supplements out to the patients monthly with a 30% kickback to her. I felt unheard and just seen as another big income source for Dr. Hinson.

I went in for a physical, they never verified my address, although theyve called and emailed me 5 times and never mentioned a payment. Then I found it on my credit report that my $80 bill they never mentioned had been sent to a collections agency. Just be careful if you choose this office.
