I have a difficult eye condition called kerataconus. I have been to see a lot of eye doctors over the years to get the right kind of contact lenses and ones that will dial in for good vision. Dr. Masihdas went above and beyond in spending time with me to make sure that we got every thing right with as many visits as it took to dial the lenses in as best as possible in terms of fit, comfort and resulting vision. No other eye doctor has even come close to giving me the personal care and treatment I received from Dr. Masihdas. I have chosen to stay with him even when I didnt have insurance coverage. I would rather pay out of my own pocket for the kind of care I received than go to a less helpful, less caring or less knowledgeable eye doctor.

I recently moved to the SLC area, and needed a eye exam/checkup. After seeing several negative reviews of other eye doctors, I checked this guy out and decided to give it a try. The service was excellent, Dr. David was knowledgeable and courteous, and the visit went without a problem. What really impressed me was that after I informed him that I didnt plan to buy glasses from him due to my college budged, he was not at all offended and happily wrote out the prescription for me. I have heard stories of other doctors being downright offensive in similar situations. I can not think of anything reasonable that would have made my visit better.

The office staff are horrible. They billed me incorrectly for a routine eye exam causing my out of pocket cost to be $175 higher. When I asked the staff member about it, she was pretentious and talked down to me stating that she had been billing vision exams for 20 years and couldnt have possibly made a mistake. They billed me with a diagnosis, when my vision hadnt changed, and there was nothing wrong with my eyes at all. If there is a diagnosis, there should be something wrong, and I shouldnt be in perfect health. I will never go back to this doctor again, because of the way I was treated after the exam by the office staff.

5-Star People, 5-Star Care High-quality, consistent care that is unsurpassed. Ive been a patient for well over a decade and Dr. Masihdas is the best eye doctor Ive ever had. He keeps me on top of changes going on with my eyes, clearly explaining conditions and procedures so I understand changes going on and know what I need to do to help my eyes besides what he is doing for me. All is accomplished with warmth and insight of me as a whole person as well as patient. Wonderful clinic and staff.

Fraudulently billed our insurance company. Utah Eye Associates is a scam operation. They can provide the service, but you will pay too much because they have figured out how to double-charge and get away with it.
