Dr. Womack. Oh this pathetic young and inexperienced Dr. was probably the worst medical professional I have met thus far. He was completely unfriendly, with the coldest handshake youve ever felt. Following that, he didnt ask me how things were but, instead, told me why I was in there (So ___ is the reason youre here, huh?) with a completely negative tone of an almost condescending nature as I came in for a vision exam (I thought my vision was deteriorating) and the pre-visit with Womack results showed that I had no vision problems at all (hence his condescending tone) as if I was illogical for even coming here. In any case, he couldnt even administer the dilating drops correctly and had to do multiple administrations. The following two days after the visit, my eyes were in immense pain. I didnt want to go back, as Id have to miss work and am already low on funds, but I did on account of not being charged unless it was completely unrelated to the exam (exemplified by infection or physical injury by the office person). Guess what? Charged and he further tried to argue the heck out of the billing issue - I guess hes not doing so hot on funds either. He not only lied about the charges that would be billed to me, but he also was relentlessly argumentative with me regarding being charged for my follow-up visit. Also, the staff lied about the charges that were promised to not be billed and were extremely rude and unhelpful when I tried to resolve this billing nightmare. DO NOT GO TO THIS EYE-CARE FACILITY - THEY HAVE THE WORST EYE DOCTOR IVE EVER SEEN AND AN INCREDIBLY ARGUMENTATIVE STAFF. or at least, for visions sake, dont go see Dr. Scott Womack...he went to VCU Med..not something to brag about.

After having routine checkups with Dr. Womack, I scheduled two surgeries to have cataracts removed. He didnt use enough anesthesia for the first one, resulting in extreme pain. After the second surgery I said I was having floaters. Dr. Womack suggested using nonprescription eye drops. When that didnt work, Dr. Womack said I should come in for laser treatment. I did. Now its hard to see, night or day, in the presence of a bright light. Dr. Womack acknowledged this condition, but didnt offer any solution. I have been seeing Dr. Womack to check glaucoma. I know I have glaucoma, but because of my previous experience, I have some doubts about the checkups. Dr. Womack hardly ever shows any emotion. At no time has anyone suggested a cost break for followup appointments necessitated by Dr. Womack.

I was not happy with the treatment Dr Womack gave my elderly father who has alzheimers and cannot hear too well. Dr Womack seemed to get aggravated when Dad could not keep his eyes opened, so he proceeded to stick a metal object in his eyes to hold them open. He was unsuccessful getting the instrument in place. I could see the discomfort he was causing my father and asked that he let me direct my father and eventually he was able to get a reading. Dr Womack shows no compassion to the elderly and gets aggitated easily. He may be a competent Doctor when it comes to some things, but I will be looking for a doctor who can treat their patients with compassion and respect. The staff are very good, and it is too bad that one Doctor can hurt a practice.

Professional and thorough. Both Dr. Womack and staff listened and answered questions I had. I felt confident in the diagnosis and assessment of my problems. I will definitely return to this doctor.
