Today, Sunday 9th April, 2017, I needed to visit the Inova Emergency Room, in Fairfax, to examine me, because of unexpected dizziness which ocurred after a long period of service, for Palm Sunday, in the Sanctuary of my Church. Despite the relatively minor nature of my complaint, it signalled some possibly much more serious concerns, especially as I am diabetic and over 80. Beginning with the receptionist and right through the system of triage, nursing, making me comfortable, nursing, examination by doctors, and providing the necessary treatment and examinations, every single person showed me great care, kindness, love and concern, with the utmost comptence, skill and dedication. I was most grateful to have been discharged, fully documented and with much greater confidence in my own health and in the wonderful treatment at the Center. My wife, who accompanied me, was made comfortable, also, and was treated with the utmost courtesy. David C. Jones, Annandale, Virginia.

This places makes you feel like a nuisance. They said several times that they have other patients to attend to, and that they were very busy. When you have a fear of needles, are pregnant, and vomitting thats not what you expect to hear. They definitely need a lesson in bed side manners and sensitivity training. Just needed a couple of minutes to relax and prepare for the procedure, but instead I was rushed and ignored. Inside the room one person is talking to you rushing to get all the information, and the other lady just sticks a needle in you without saying anything. The nurses and the front desk are very rude. This is an establishment that has to care for people, not make them feel bad to a point to want to just drive sick to another hospital. My advice, go somewhere else. This place does not care about you. The reason this place got two stars instead of one is the student nurse practitioner was polite.

Would never go to this place again! We have been traveling and my son got sick, sore throat and fever. Went to ER Saturday night upon arrival. Diagnosed with Otitus, antibiotic prescription was supposed to be send electronically to pharmacy. Guess, what? It is 1am Sunday night, pharmacy did not get the prescription. We gave a child over the counter pain killer. Headed to pharmacy again in the morning. Prescription was still not sent. I had to call ER 7 times, talk to rude staff member, who hang up the phone twice and advised me to wait at the pharmacy for ER doctor to come in to sign our prescription in order to be sent to pharmacy. I spend 1,5 at the pharmacy, keeping on calling ER to get my prescription send and my child was in pain all that time, from the moment we entered ER at 11pm Saturday until to 2pm Sunday, when pharmacy could release medication. Do not go there! Horrible experience!

Came in for a suspected tibial stress fracture a couple days ago after collapsing at work and freaking out from the excruciating pain. Nurses saw me crying and insinuated that my reason for visiting was emotional issues instead of my 10/10 pain, and said that the pain cant actually be that bad. Forced the doctor to order an x ray even though she said it wouldnt show anything, got the x ray back and sure enough, didnt show anything. I wasnt convinced, so I went the next day to an actual orthopedist. Got my x ray at the orthopedist, and wouldnt you know it, severe tibial stress fracture that took a physicians assistant all of 2 minutes to locate, including the time needed to pull up the scan. This place is embarrassing.

First, I just appreciate the folks that are there when I am not working and late at night. In the past year, I have been there with my wife, my son, and for myself. It is a nice environment. The wait has never been long. The nurses and doctors have not only been professional but nice people. I like to go there because they have all the medical equipment that you might need. This is much better than your basic urgent care office. If something comes up it is the first place I am going.

I was very impressed with the medical care my mother received. They put her needs ahead of paperwork and processes, looked at all of her needs and gave her important information about her condition and medications that her primary physician and specialists neglected to tell her for years. We have also been there for sports injuries and emergency fevers. They have always done an outstanding job for my family.

For 30 years this is where we went when we had an emergency. Now, I would not go there. They dont have qualified people at the desk. I took a neighbor there two days ago who had fallen out of a bus. She was in a lot of pain, could barely walk, there was no offer of a wheelchair for her. She could not walk yet was forced to. The next time I have an emergency, I am going to a real ER in a hospital.

Do not go here. Worst possible care. The resident was good but the attending was unprofessional and I had to insist on appropriate testing and care. The nurse from "the Congo" was rude and insensitive and just bad at her job, was unable to draw blood and put in a simple IV. Im not racist Im a minority as well. A majority of the staff needs to go.

Ive always had a really good experience every time I went to this place so Im really confused at all these bad reviews. Everybody there from beginning to and is extremely helpful and compassionate and care about your privacy. I choose to go here rather than to Fairfax Hospital because of the care I get.

I went there due to an asthma attack. I was seen immediately and felt well taken care of. Staff was friendly and respectful. One staff didnt really smile, but shes doing her job that she takes seriously, I can respect that. Doctor was also professional and educated me about what I was going through.

We are not from the area we came here with my son and his cousin. We were taken into a room very quickly and received the best care possible. Everybody was nice and very concerned for my son. I would recommend this place to anyone thats in need of immediate care.

Ive been here twice for an allergic reaction to peanuts. I was admitted with no wait, given prompt and satisfactory service, and was not bothered with paperwork until after the medical emergencies were over. Good doctors and nurses and convention location.

BAD BAD EXPERIENCE. INOVA likes to charge your insurance for everything possible. They keep you around for hours so they can charge your insurance for that too. Never going to an INOVA establishment again. Staff is rude and unprofessional.

Its called an emergency care Center. I thought it was an Urgent Care Center, but its an emergency room, so instead of the $30 copay I was charged over $90. I definitely would not have come here if I had known that.
