I only put one star because it wouldnt let me post it otherwise. My father was a patient here for less that 48 hours. He arrived a Friday morning and left that Saturday night, with pneumonia. He was in a car accident and suffers a lot of trauma. He has a trachea piece as well - which has to be cared for properly or he can get sick or not able to breathe correctly. Needless to say, they were barely checking on him. They let his trachea piece get to bad that when my step mother came to see him, she cleaned it herself. They werent suctioning him properly at all either, they hurt him constantly and even yelled at him. They were rude to me when I asked questions. I called Saturday morning and asked how my dad was doing (because he was having trouble breathing throughout the night) and she said "Well, what do you want me to tell ya?" with the most attitude I think Ive ever heard. They were awful. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Theyre rude and careless. Its so bad that the hospital refuses to send my dad back there. The nurses at the hospital said it didnt look like he hadnt been properly suctioned since he left that Friday morning. This place is terrible when it come to the nurses. I am disgusted and wouldnt send my worse enemy there.

This place is horrible. My father was there almost a year ago recovering from a surgery and almost died. Please, Please, do not put your parents or loved ones there if they need more than the most basic care. I went to see him about three times a day, I was fortunate, I live only about 3 miles down the road. He has several health conditions including advanced COPD which requires a constant monitoring of his oxygen supply including the amount that is actually in his system. To make a long story short, this was not done despite numerous complaints. He was there less than three days when I came to have dinner with him and found him sitting in a chair with only a gown, which was half off, he was turning blue with his hands in front of his face, shivering. I immediately got an aide, who eventually found a nurse, who immediately, at my demand, called 911. There is no doubt in my mind that my Father would have died that night if I hadnt returned to check on him. I reported this facility to the state, and cannot believe they are still open.

This place is horrendous. My Grandfather contracted the MRSA virus here after a hip replacement surgery and it nearly killed him. The nurses are rude and didnt check his wound daily for infections and therefore he was readmitted to the hospital and put in a convalescent center for 6 months. Now, almost 2 years later the MRSA has returned and he has to have the entire operation again. If you care about your loved ones, do not put them here. The carelessness and laziness of staff put my family through a very difficult time.

My husband has been at Gainesville Health & Rehab for seven months. To say that I would settle for nothing less than the best care for him is an understatement. The staff has been wonderful; consistently loving and caring. His medication and stats are carefully monitored. The rehab has taken a stroke victim who could not even stand to walking more than 90 feet. And their good soups and thoughtful menu has helped him go from 400 lbs to 282 lbs. I thank God every day I found such a place to help in his recovery.

I havent been in the rehab place, but the nursing home is terrible. The patient I visited kept complaining that the staff is very rude and she says that there are barely any nice staff. She says that they only come to help when there are visitiors and that they sometimes yell at her, as if it is her fault she is here. I have witness the nurses being rude to patients and there is not many nurses that actually want to help.

It seems the ONLY saving grace Gainesville Health & Rehab possesses is its rehabilitation department. The nursing care is worse than deplorable. In fact some of it has been downright dangerous and attempts to get answers are met with a runaround. i.e. my husbands fall & shoulder injury, & why was he given a contraindicated medication which could have been lethal? Im a former RN with 23 years experience.

I cant rate this place unless I click on a star. In all honesty, it does not even deserve the one star I had to give it in order to write this review. Too many residents for the number of staff available. VERY understaffed. Buzzers for assistance are left unanswered; food terrible, etc.. Pulled my mom out of there after 24 hours. Theyre lucky I didnt sure them.

Worst place ever. I will give it a zero star if they let me. The place is unsanitary, rude employees and dont even care to clean the sick people. They re heartless and I hope that when they get old, they should be treated the same way.

Absolutely amazing staff. The CNA staff is understaffed but two of the CNAs are amazing. Daja and Katie are awesome.

Extremely unprofessional staff members all around. The rooms are filthy and absolutely unsanitary.
