I had pets in the past but they always went to pender in fairfax when I could no longer get to pender I tried a different vet in town and it was a disaster.I was concerned about going to a new vet on a regular basis because of this, but I had taken another stray to Dominion for some shots and they were very pleasant so I thought I would give it another try with our new kitten. I was able to make an appointment online they also email with quick responses and invoices if you prefer a non printed copy. I had contact with 5 employees by way of email or in person and each and everyone could not have been more pleasant if they tried. The Doctor was sweet and caring and knowledgeable. I will use this practice and would recommend them to anyone and I have very high standards.

This is the second visit we have had to Dominion Valley Animal Hospital. I love this place so much. I have been so happy with the care weve receive for both our dogs. Everyone there is very professional and super nice. Dr. Applin is amazing and is very thorough with her visits. I had to bring my two young daughters to our visit this morning and both Dr. Applin and Linda engaged with the kids and even had them help distract our senior dog while she got her exam/vaccinations. They were so excited to be involved. They even trimmed our pups nails for us (which is super difficult with sold black colored nails!). If you are looking for a vet in this area, definitely give them a try. Im so happy we chose them!

Wonderful vet :-) I just moved to Haymarket and needed a new vet for my elderly dog. They were so complimentary of him and treated him with such kindness I will for sure be going back. My dog had developed a skin infection from a bad flea/tick medicine. They fixed it with one visit. I cant say the same for any other vet Ive been to when it comes to finding the fix the first time!

Absolutely phenomenal experience during one of the hardest visits youll ever make to a vets office. Our cat was coming to the end of her life sooner than we thought and at the last minute DVAH was able to not only accommodate our needs but go above and beyond! While this was our first visit, well definitely be bringing our other cat here and recommending them to our friends!

I have been taking my two dogs Dallas and Flex to them for several years. Everyone is very professional and caring at the same time. They answer any and all questions I have ever had. I also like that the place is so clean. It has to be hard with so many animals coming in and out all the time. My dogs have no fear going there at all.

The veterinarians and vet techs are very kind to people and animals alike. Their prices are reasonable. I never have the sense that theyre pushing services just to make money (unlike other vets Ive been too). They always make a follow-up call to see how my dog is doing. Ive been very happy with Dominion Valley Animal Hospital.

I have always had great visits there--Great Staff! But, Dr Cohen is not a "people person," absolutely no bedside manner. I recommend appointments with the other vets. Brought my rescue dog in to see her and she made me feel like I was killing her--instead of rescuing her! Great staff, but check to see who your vet is.
