I was able to bring in my cat quickly to be evaluated, wait time was quick. I was extremely distressed, but Dr Childress and staff were very polite and courteous to me and my poor sick kitty, as well as very informative about my cats condition. I left smiling because I knew my cat would get better, and he was in good hands here. I will continue to bring my pets here. The prices are reasonable as well. Side note: when I called to make an appointment, the woman on the phone looked out for my best interest financially and informed me about a printable $40 coupon for new patients. Just thought that was nice of her to mention this when she didnt have to. Thanks guys, and Gunner thanks you too. Hes already feeling much better :)

I have taken my animals there for many years. I have noticed their prices, just as any other veterinarian, continue to increase. I recently ordered heart-worm medication from an online provider. It took two days for the animal hospital to fax copies of my prescriptions, and they still only faxed copies for two of my three dogs. The Nash County Animal Hospital makes it as difficult as they can for a client to buy medicines from another provider. I understand that they, just like any other business, need to make a profit. Although, if they didnt price their medication SO high, people wouldnt continue to transfer their prescriptions to other providers.

Do not take your pet here unless you want to come home with fleas. Have had no problem with fleas whatsoever and have the entire outside of my house treated for prevention for my dogs. Took my cat straight to this vet and back home, got her out of the carrier and picked three fleas straight off of her. Called the vets office to inform them, and the vet got on the phone and rudely told me they didnt come from her office and I should buy their flea prevention. What a waste of time and now extra money to treat their problem. Overpriced and a long wait time as well, will not be returning, and I will steer my friends away from this place.

Incompetent. My dog paid with his life. Nash looked at the wrong dogs bloodwork, then sent half of it to the Emergency Vets Office. My dog suffered and died. They said "Sorry, we made a mistake, here is a refund, goodbye" They looked at the wrong dogs bloodwork, then sent 1/2 of the right bloodwork information to EC Vets, delaying vital treatment for our dog. EC Vets said that was incompetent, especially since the bloodwork sent to them had a big smiley face drawn on a post it note. Glad they have time to fool around then screw up something so simple like bloodwork-TWICE.

I scheduled an appointment for a single shot. After being there for nearly 2 hours my animal finally received the shot. The doctor was determined to find other things to charge me for. For example, $25 to show me how to put drops in my animals ears...Seriously... I will never return to Nash County Animal Hospital. They are a bunch of unfriendly, deceitful and greedy retards. As a working professional, if I performed my job (engineer) as everyone that I encountered at this establishment then countless people would die.

I took my two dogs there for a fecal exam and worm medicine as well as their first check-up there. The appointment was at 4 and I didnt leave until after they closed. The doctor was present for only a couple of minutes then left to take a phone call in the middle of discussing a treatment plan. She said she would be right back but we were left sitting for over an hour and didnt see her for the rest of the visit. The nurse finally came back and sent us out.. I wont be taking them back.

I have been a client for several years there until today. DR was very unprofessional, did not greet my dog, was more concerned about money, and told me to go to another vet if I wanted to, and it was my choice, also kept insisting on getting other procedures done. I immediately left there never to return. I have also reported her to the NC Veterinary Medical Board.

Took two puppies to them because they were sick. Ask the vet if there was any chance on them not making it due to being sick. She said oh no they will no live no problem long as we do this or that. Well 2,000.00 later they both died. Do not trust this place with your animals. There all about the money and nothing else.

Staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. Our puppy loves their vet. Was recommended by family/friends and would recommend to others. Also provides boarding at a very reasonable price!

My dog received dental surgery and the service was better and less expensive then others I have used previously.
