About a month and half ago my family took their cat to this vet office. Their cat was voiding blood. They put him on antibiotics and sent home. They thought it was a UTI. He seem like the antibiotics was working. But the voiding with blood started again. They returned to the vets office and they did a xray and said he had bladder stones. And since cats can not pass bladder stones. They would have to operate. The operation was performed. They said they did not see bladder stones. But the bladder was encased in a tumor. They did a biopsy. They called a week later and said that it was not a tumor. But they must of taken a piece of the bladder for the biopsy. The cat seem to be doing okay. Fast forward to a week and half ago. I return with the cat because he was not eating and not voiding. They said they would have to keep him and start a IV and insert a catheter that he was blocked. They called later that afternoon and said we could pick him up. Was confused but I picked him up. The next day told them he was not eating and they said to just trying different cat foods. I asked if he should be on a special food for bladder problems and they said no. The next day rush him to Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic. They keep him for 5 days. They started a IV and inserted catheter. We bought him home on Monday. He was put on a special diet cat food. He was doing great. Until Saturday. He stopped eating and was not voiding. We rush back to Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic. The vet said that the best thing we could do was put him down. I totally blame Wayne Heights for a misdiagnoses. If he was diagnosed correctly. He would not have went though what he did. I will never recommended Wayne Heights to anyone. But will say that Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic did everything they could. Just wish we would have taken him there from the very beginning. Not sure it would have saved him. But know he would not have suffered. Oh and I saw the xrays. Could not see any bladder stones.

I had an emergency. My Pug "Fancy" was having trouble giving birth. She had one puppy, the second was still born and I knew another was coming but it was not near the birth canal. Fancy was becoming listless and lathargic. I explained to Sandy the rude woman who answered the phone that even though they were not my regular vet, this was an emergency and she needed to be seen right away. Explaining they are only 2 minutes away versus driving to my regular vet 40 minutes away. She very rudely told me they only had 2 doctors in the office today and with a huff put me on hold. She came back on the line and told me they could not see her and take her to my regular vet. I immediatley called Park Circle in Hagerstown,MD and explained the situation and got another rude woman saying with a huff "OK, I guess bring her in." Upon walking in the office they said " just have a seat". I sat there in the waiting room with Fancy lying in pain and shaking. She died 5 minutes later.

I have been taking my dogs to WHAH since dr. Dwight owned the practice...I was a little disappointed when he left, but quickly found my concerns were unfounded. dr. charlene and dr. john are the sweetest, most caring vets Ive ever encountered and my dogs just love them! they also do so much for the community, including playing Santa at the local true value when holiday picture time comes around! words cannot express how grateful I am for the Drs. barnes!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I have taken two of my rats to Dr. Barnes and I cannot be more pleased!! My first rat had a tumor and they took tremendous care of her. I took one of my male rats there a couple days ago for pneumonia. She quickly got him taken care of. Now my sweet boy is breathing so much better :) The staff is absolutely wonderful!! NONE of them snickered or sneered at the fact that I own rats (MANY) as pets. BEST VET EVER <3

Ive used the services of the Drs. Barnes for several years and have been pleased with their care and the quality of services Ive received. I have a number of cats and we (the cats, myself, and the Drs. Barnes) have been through a lot, good times and bad, but theyve always been there for me and my pets. Great praise also for the support staff...compassionate and professional.

Our family loves Drs. John and Charlene as well as the other staff members. They welcome all questions and have taught us how to take loving care of our dog. From the assistants at the desk to the vet techs, all are positive and pleasant. Their motto "We treat your pet like family" is reflected in each visit. Thank you, WHAH!

Whenever we have any questions about our animals they are able to explain their conditions in a way we can understand. They are so knowledgeable and professional. Keep up the good work!

You absolutely get the best care possible for your pet. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for great care for their furry family members!

Weve been taking our animals to Dr. Barnes and the people at Wayne Heights for over 10 years. Right now I have a 10-month old Goldendoodle and a cat, and neither of them have a problem during their appointments. Another nice thing is that the wait time is low and we are recognized by the staff.

I love these people at Wayne Heights animal hospital...I really do. They ask how I am doing each time and the staff doesnt even have to look at you to know who you are exactly. They always call me to follow up on visits and make sure I am kept informed. Great place.

They may be great veterinarians, but they are not an "animal hospital". They turned an animal away and were in no way concerned with its welfare. I was simply told they did not perform surgeries after 4. Hospital in their title actually means private practice.

I have several dogs and cats and theyve all been fixed at Wayne Heights. Any time we have a problem, this is where we go. Ive even gotten directions for medications and minor issues over the phone, which is very helpful so I dont have to come in.

There is nothing that I could suggest to be improved here, the service is excellent and always has been. They actually make house calls, and come to our house for us sometimes. Its so convenient, were so happy that we found them.

I have been going to Wayne Heights Animal Hospital for 5 years now. I couldnt ask for a better Veterinarian, the staff is like family. A lot of times, they take me in early when I have an appointment. Great customer service.
