My family has gone to this clinic for about 35 years. I grew up going there with my parents, and now as an adult I had begun taking my own animals to see Dr. Wohlers for the past two years. I drove about an hour to get to the clinic because I felt that it was the best. However, I was clearly very wrong. Let me start by saying Dr. Wohlers has always been a fabulous vet. However, my parents had a terrible experience with Dr. Lupton. They hospitalized their dog under him, and due to inadequate care, they ended up having to euthanize their dog. Its a long story so I wont get into details, but my parents ultimately decided to contact the owner (Dr. Matthews) about the situation. This was the first time they have ever complained to the clinic in the past 35 years. They felt that they didnt receive proper care and wanted to be sure this was brought to the owners attention so nothing like this would happen again in the future. In the end, the owner issued my parents a refund. If things were left at that, I would not be writing this review. I took my own dog in last Friday and my vet called me to discuss his blood results a few days later. He is in the middle of treatment for a UTI and when I inquired about scheduling a recheck for him, she told me that her boss (Dr. Matthews) told her to tell me that it would be best if I go elsewhere in the future due to the fact that my parents didnt think they received proper care for their dog. I was then told my records would be sent over to me for all of my pets. I have two problems with this: 1.) I am a separate client from my parents. While I 100% agree with the complaints my parents made, I dont understand why the clinic would drag me and my animals into this matter. 2.) The owner was too cowardly/lazy to call me himself and instead had my veterinarian be his messenger. After calling the clinic, Dr. Matthews informed my parents that the veterinarians had a meeting and agreed that they no longer wanted to treat any of our animals. The fact that the owner received a complaint (the only one my parents made in 35 years) and was so annoyed by it that we are no longer welcome is absolutely ridiculous and completely unprofessional. His reaction clearly shows that instead of taking my parents concerns into consideration, he was more interested in holding a grudge over the fact that he had to give them a refund. Veterinarians are supposed to protect and serve animals, but clearly Dr. Matthews doesnt care about that. To sum it up, be very wary of going to this clinic. I think its a blessing in disguise that the owner, Dr. Matthews, has shown his true colors since now I (and my parents) will find a clinic who actually respects and values their customers. The only reason I kept going back was for Dr. Wohlers, so if you do go then at least be sure to get her since the other veterinarians are not worth your time or money. Also, be sure that you (or your relatives) never voice your concerns regarding the treatment for your pet because you may not be welcomed back to the clinic.

I seem to get the same associate who does not know what to do everytime I call in, or she does not help customers out. My husband also witnessed her not helping her coworkers during a busy time and her coworkers had to tell her to help them. I called in today and got the same person and of course she had to put me on hold to wait for a technician and kept asking me what I needed when clearly I had a pet emergency and I had to ask to speak to someone else again D When I tried to tell the technician she transferred me to I was having an issue with this associate she ignored my complaint and kept asking me what my question about my pet was. I asked her not to ignore my complaint and she said well you can call back tomorrow and talk with the manager , Im a technician so what is your question. I refuse to go there after that, you do NOT ignore customer complaints especially when this is an ongoing issue every time I have called or been there. Associates should also not blatantly be rude to a customer. GOOD customer service would be taking the complaint and letting the manager know about it so it can be addressed. I refuse to pay money to any company who is rude to their clients like these people were. The only good thing about this veterinarian was that Dr. Raymond was very good to us and our dog. However, the front desk staff ruin the experience.

There are only two reasons I even give them one star. First reason being that they saw my poor cat in an emergency situation (we couldnt go to our normal vet because they were closed due to weather), and the second reason being that they dont give the option to give them zero stars. This was the worst experience ever. My cat got caugh up in a car motor causing half of his tail to be cut off. We took him here where they said they were going to cut off more tail until they got to healthy tissue. THEY TOLD US IF IT TURNS BLACK OR BLUE DO NOT BE ALARMED. A few days later the tip of what was left of my cats tail turned black. I take him back seven days after the surgery for his post opp appointment , and they tell me that the black meant the tail had died and they would need to repeat the surgery (at the same 525 cost as before) and they said that this kind of thing "just happens." Needless to say I took him back to our regular vet where they had to remove all but a 1/2 inch of tail from my cat, because of the poor/lack of job that was done to begin with. Not only that but my regular vet didnt even cost half of what this one did and he let me know that this kind of thing does not "just happen." While I am very grateful that they saw my the day of the emergency, I will never waist my money there again.

This clinic is NOT my usual clinic and NEVER will be. I work for a rescue group and one of our fosters needed a blood transfusion. My vet does not do those so he called this clinic and spoke to a certain vet and got a price and sent over bloodwork results from the previous day. They treated us like TRASH from the moment we walked in the door and acted like it was because our dogs are Pit Bulls. They drew MORE blood (from a dog needing blood already), charged us for that and then told us they didnt think a transfusion was going to help her and they did not want to WASTE their blood!! They did not let us see the vet that was spoken to and gave us a totally differant outlandish price if we wanted to continue anyway. Our foster could barely walk and they tip-toed around her like they were scared of her!!! I have NEVER in my life been treated SO bad by so called professionals. Rudeness, disrespectfulness and ignorance is all that my self and my foster dog were shown at this establishment. I will be printing off the Vets Code of Ethics and contacting the Better Business Bureau. How these people acted is NOT acceptable. FYI IF YOU ARE IN THE ANIMAL FIELD YOU SHOULD HAVE A LOVE FOR ALL ANIMALS!!!!
